These are truly fisheye, nearly 180 degree view. For security purposes in a well lit room they are excellent. Like all fisheye lenses they need a lot of light, more than a typical camera. Image quality is passable for security purposes.4Great field of view!Very nice camera, and the viewing angle (180-degrees) really makes a difference.It is warped at the edges (as would be expected); but the added peripheral view more than compensates for that.5Great for remote viewingThis little camera works great. I designed in 3-D printed the housing so I could clip it into our hydroponic growing space. Now the growth in the hydroponic system can be monitored remotely or by viewing the monitor. The fisheye angle was really the only way to see it all and it works perfectly. I did have to buy some USB cable extenders to get the camera connected to the computer. So if you're going to use the camera in this way I would recommend getting some USB extending tables.5Quick DeliveryEnabled our robot to have a nice pan view of the field this season.5The 180 fisheye lens is great and has little chromatic aberration and distortionI purchased this camera for machine vision development in Linux. It worked as soon as I plugged it in with V4L2 in Ubuntu 14.04. The 180 fisheye lens is great and has little chromatic aberration and distortion. It's not perfect, but it's far superior than I expected it would be for the price. The resolution you select determines how much of the frame is visible. i.e. the only way to see the entire circular fisheye image is to run in 1080p30, while the 720p60 option will window the viewport instead of resizing the image. This keeps the lag down, which I do appreciate.The framerates are also great. At first, I was concerned that I was not getting effective 1080p30 and 720p60, but in the camera configuration you can disable backlight compensation to always get full framerates. Provided you can provide enough illumination, it works very well. The image quality is not the highest, but this at this price point, it can't be beat.Finally, before I even received it, Lydia from their support staff reached out to check to see if I had any troubles. Whoa. I'm very pleased with the service and the camera. I plan on purchasing some more ELP cams for my future projects.5Five StarsVery good camera clear picture, you can zoom in n out and picture stays clear.5
