    Saves a LOAD of work when retrofitting LED'sThese work great for those houses with older large diameter recessed lights- now we can install the LED versions in the old fixtures, then not have to repaint the ceiling.5Great invention and a major life saver product on can ceiling lights.Buy it you will not regret it, this is a major life saver for covering up larger holes cut out in ceiling with can lights, it covers up the hole perfectly when the replacement ceiling light was just a little too small, these goof rings are made of plastic but are strong heavy plastic and not flimsy. And are bright white. They fit wonderfully and work great, easy install. I highly recommend these, they do the trick and cover up the unsightly larger hole cut out in ceiling sheetrock.5Known as "goof rings" they really make up the gap My cans are 7 inches in diameter and the largest replacement light I could find just barely covers the opening. With these trim rings each light now looks perfect and the whole opening is covered and looks professionally finished. At this price there is no reason not to get them for every can light replacement job. 5These rings were the perfect size to create a pest screen to go over ...These rings were the perfect size to create a pest screen to go over my sloped ceiling cans on my porch. The cans were 8.25 in diameter from the outer rim. These rings are 8.625 diameter from the outer rim. I drilled 4 small holes 1/8 in from the rim, which insured they would clear my can rim. Then I spray painted them, cut fiberglass screening to fit, glued it on the back, positioned it over the can and screwed it into the ceiling. No more wasps and bats roosting in my porch lights. Added benefit is that it cuts down the glare and brightness of the LED bulbs!5Solution for larger hole with remodel style light canI needed to replace some old light cans with new remodel style ones but the existing holes were too big. Those remodel cans require a specific hole size, just big enough for most of the can to slide through but small enough that the lip at the bottom of the can can not pass thru. The drywall clamped between the lip and clips on the other side is what secures the can. These rings were just the right size to slid over the can effectively adding a wider lip to it. So it not only covered the gap, but secured the can to the ceiling.5Did the trickOur house was built 30 years ago and the recessed lights were larger than the ones today. These must have been 8 cans. Well these took a bit of adjusting to center but fit right behind the 6 lights to cover the larger hole. They matched the white Ecosmart lights perfectly. I needed 6 but they only come in a 10 pack. Still reasonable price even if I never use the other 4.5Bought these and they work great!!We were changing over to LED retrofits in our kitchen and living room, however for some reason, both brands offered by both of our local big box stores(Orange and White, and Blue and White), the ring seemed slightly smaller than the originals. This left just a small gap depending on that particular fixture.Bought these and they work great!!! Only thing is, they aren't quite pure white. Mine were just a shade off white. Not that noticeable at a glance, but since I was putting up 10 of them, I noticed they don't quite match the ceiling or the LED retrofit fixtures. Just a little more eggshell than both of those. Only bad enough to take off 1 star.4Minds the gap. Perfect for retrofitting! I had some larger size 'eyeball' lamps in an older house and couldn't find a modern lamp that would cover the old opening. These did the trick perfectly. I was able to use commonly available recessed lights and these filled in the gap. Although I did consider painting them, I decided the white plastic matched the fixtures close enough and used these as is. Just what I needed! 5Fix our problem! I had older high hats in my kitchen ..We redId the kitchen and wanted to update to LED lighting.. unfortunately the cutout was 8" and LED high hats only come on 6" (home depo, Loews)We looked all over the Internet and couldn't find LED high hats in 8" .. we saw this product and it solved our problems.. I do wish it came in metal instead of plastic .. which is the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars ..other than that ..the product is all it says it is and saved us from a ton of work. ... I would recommend this ... 4plastic trimThese circular plastic trims are needed when the electrician installs new recessed light fixtures and the drywaller cuts the holes in the drywall to go over the new light fixtures and the owner of the project says the holes are too big around the recessd lights then you order these plastic trims- and the world is safe from evil works of the drywaller . One day you will need these circular trims5Perfect alteration for can lights.Wanted to update the can lights in my kitchen - placed quite some time ago by a previous owner. Evidently over time the popular / standard size has shrunk to 5-6". My openings were 7.5". Added these rims to standard 6" upgraded LED downlights and voila - new lights. Crazy easy to install and once you have them centered they look like a custom install. My only complaint is that in reality there is about .75 cents worth of plastic, the packaging they came in was worth about 2 cents and yet my total was nearly $20. At half that price they would have been making plenty of profit.5A must have for a drywall goofI put in some replacement 6" LED can lights and found that the replacement lights did not quite have a large enough ring to cover the opening in the drywall.These are just simple plastic rings with a slight beveled edge on the outside. They are durable and well made. They are a pure white color and were very simple to install and look great! They made all the difference in the look of the lights. I am very happy with these and would highly recommend them. Quick shipping from seller.5Exactly what i wanted to cover that extra space.We have some older cam lights that have holes larger than standard, so when I bought standard replacement bulbs there was a huge gap around several of the lights. Instead of buying a special light that would've probably cost significantly more, I bought these and they covered that gap perfectly. I went to home depot hoping they would have something like this, but they had nothing to solve my issue. Im not sure why they don't carry these, but 2 day shipping is perfectly fine with me.
