Works great. I am using this connected to LED lighting for my safe and it is working great.Yes, it is kinda of a pain to take the back off to adjust the dwell time and sensitivity but after I got it dialed in I have been very pleased. If your thinking of using this for safe lighting you can get the whole package, LED lights, power brick and motion sensor for around $26.00. Not too shabby considering safe lighting kits run anywhere from $80 to $200. 5Works just fine, read the instructions Works just fine, you need to open the back of the case to be able to adjust the dwell time. It comes from the factory turned all the way down (clockwise) so it only runs for a few seconds. I adjusted it a half turn (counterclockwise) and it stays on for 5 minutes. DO NOT turn the black plastic dome on the front, this is the motion sensor only.Other reviewers gave low rating because they failed to read the instructions.... 5Works like a charm. Adjust time and you will be set Exactly what I was looking for. A motion sensor for my walk in closet. This works like a charm. The default timer settings are ridiculous. Turns off in a second. Unless you open up and dial up (counter clockwise) the delay time, it will irritate you. Once you adjust, it has fantastic sensitivity and detects motion very well. Highly recommend. Wish they had settings for the timer so you know how much to dial. It has puny little numbers but have no idea what they correlate to. Likely trial & error. Good thing is the back just pops off for quick adjustment. 5It works! A great bargain. I m using this to control and led light strip in the bathroom of my rv. So far, it works great. The sensitivity is adjustable and can be set to be very sensitive. The time on delay is also adjustable from about 20 seconds to a few minutes. Perfect for my application. 5works great. compatible with HitLights. very sensitive. no need to adjust it. very sensitive. no need to adjust it. picks up any movement from at least 10 feet away without adjustment. stays on as long as there is movement. turns off about 2 seconds after movements ends, which i guess is adjustable but i find is not necessary for my needs. really nice that it is compatible with HitLights. just plug n play. nice compact design. 5Be cautious. I wanted an upgrade to a halloween prop I made. I purchased this in hopes it would work, which it did not. There's no way to adjust the length of time the sensor triggers the start and stop of whatever you're using it for. While it did work it did not work for my application. What did result me in not using it was how hot it got. I was afraid it could cause a short and catch fire. I removed it from my prop and threw it away as it was past my return window. I do not recommend this product for safety reasons. 1Works great, just not with dimmer in the circuit I got this to operate a series of LED light strips I installed under the lead edge of shelves in a quite dark unlit pantry. The LED light strip set I had purchased came with integral dimmer control. I could not get the on/off control for the strip to operate properly until I removed the dimmer from the circuit (all quick connect plugs). Without the dimmer the motion sensor works great.Now when we open the pantry door, the LED lighting comes on instantly just like opening the fridge and shuts itself off within 60 seconds of closing the door. It also turned out that the brightness is just fine even without the dimmer. 5pretty neat i like this sensor. it works very well. MY issue is getting the timing and the sensitivity down to where i want it.now on a side note again i wish that amazon had a multi rating system or multiple areas to rate this product in. i took that fifth star away only because the two settings are abit touchy. i would rather for my application the settings be more in a wider range. an example would be in increments of 5sec hash style marks for the time on, and for the sensitivity maybe in meter/feet or some other value. you dont even have to put that on the circuit board but in the drawings themselves. so you can match it to your needs quicker. so its more my issue then theirs.the senor itself is tiny. say no bigger then a wooden match book or a "zippo" style lighter.the sensor was used indoors in an enclosed semi open space aka my garage.i would also like to see the leads be a tad bit longer but thats just for my porpoise. ;-) the idea would be to center the sensor in the room so that if you have multi entrances you can install it in away where it was tripped from either/any direction. but i might have a work around for that too.the company that i purchased from sent me an email with a better diagram of the inside of the of the sensor. i liked that. they took the time to talk to send that with an updated picture/schematic.they get five stars.so BLUF,,,, get it learn how to adjust it and then well use it.thanks! 4This is the perfect addition to my array of under-cabinet LED strips This gave my under-cabinet lights an additional function - automatic nightlight. I had previously left the stove vent hood light on all night, because I am a little obsessive about being able to see in the event of, say, a fire in the middle of the night (I also have Eton/Red Cross "Backup Buddies" placed strategically to illuminate the paths to exits in case of power loss) or, in the very unlikely event that I have an intruder, he would be illuminated, and I'd be coming from a darkened room. Anyway, now I can accomplish all of that with less energy usage.Be aware if you buy it for use with under-cabinet LEDS enclosed in metal strips that both the input and output power connectors are standard 2.1x 5.5mm, and most light strips take a much smaller ( ??x1.35 mm) connector. My set had a power adapter with a 2.1x5.5mm connector that connected to a dimmer with a 2.1x5.5mm input and an LED-sized output, so putting this between them was easy enough. Of course, adapters are also plentiful on Amazon. Just be aware that you might need one, depending on your application.You can add this useful function to practically any DC powered device! 5Perfect for my safe I have this in line with my Hitlights LEDs inside my safe. It is confusing how to adjust it, you have to take the back cap off of it and there is no directions that explain that the cap has to come off. I was trying to stick stuff inside the little holes and I'm an electrical engineer that got stymied by this little cheap PIR sensor! It works awesome, very repeatable. Every time I open the door it comes on right away and I spied on it through the crack and made sure it turns off after 2 min. I'm going to install one I my pantry next. Awesome little product and plugs right into the higlights lights in series. 5
