Buy this. Its greatI thought this item worked very well for me! I left out in the car after break since the metal detectors went off while wearing it and I noticed a big difference when I went back into work that I decided it's worth taking off for 2 breaks and a lunch at work for the metal detectors. it's super supporting and comfort is great! My lower back feels awesome. I may be replacing this item with a waist trimmer if my waist trimmer gives me the same support, comfort and doesnt set off the metal detector. We will see tonight. This lower back lumbar support is in a very high quality and we highly recoment it!5Great build quality and price, decent comfort.By now, I have already tried several different brands and gadgets to remedy my growing back problem, and this product is one of the few that actually helps.I currently work 10+ hours a day in a standing environment, lifting and placing objects of moderate weight (think 5-20 lbs) so I need a product with great support that was comfortable enough to wear 10+ hours.I found the quality and the build materials to be great, on par to the one you can find for double the price at the local drug store in the same type of blister packaging.When worn, the product felt comfortable and provided the support I was looking for. (The pressure insert that was included seemed a bit gimmicky as I did not feel any benefit leaving it on or off but who knows, it may help others...)The main elastic band is strong and firm and the Velcro grip is generous. The side support band does its job well in providing additional support, but there are less Velcro grip and I can see the possibility of the sides wearing out from daily use, which may lose the ability to grip in the future. But as this is currently pure speculation, I will not deduct a star unless this becomes a problem in future updates.The only part, this product did not live up to my expectations, is the duration that I can keep this on. When worn after around 6 hours or so, I start developing small "welts" around my waist that I usually get from wearing something too tight for too long from irritation and poor circulation (yes, I have sensitive skin).So I figured either I was wearing this too tightly or I was doing something else wrong. I tried wearing it loose, under my clothes, over my clothes with pretty much the same results.You would think there is something wrong with me, no? Well, it turns out some of the other similar products I have tried, does not do THIS to me, though they have other more fatal flaws.Regardless of the reason, I do know that as long as I only wear it about 4-5 hours a day with a 15-20 min break with it off until the next 4-5 hour session, there are no problems.For now, this makes it inconvenient for me to wear this under my clothes, but other products in this price range had far more fatal problems with questionable designs and or poor construction.I have not abandoned my search for the "perfect back support", but for now, until I find that mythical product, this is the best I have found (in this price bracket) and I have no problems recommending this product to my fellow friend and family (which I have done).-I have found and paid for this product and was not in any way compensated for this review. I only wish to share my discoveries and good experiences along with the bad ones you should avoid. Hope this helps some of you.4Helps eliminate back painI suffer from continuous back pain and try many remedies. This brace helps to correct my posture and add much relief to the pain that my back causes me. A wonderful pain reliever!!5Excellent back brace--highly recommended!Having been "damaged goods" for most of my adult life, I've been through plenty of lumbar back braces. This one is by far the best one I've found for the money! The problem with so many braces is the "roll over" problem, where the top and bottom edges tend to roll forward and diminish the amount of support. The Modvel has a great design, so that it remains flat and rigid all the way around and keeps your back straight and well supported. I'm going to buy another one right away--you can't have too many back braces, especially when you've found one this good!One small concern that went away quickly--when you first open the package, you may notice a light "industrial smell" --the kind you get from some of the tools made in China. I hung my new brace outside in the fresh air for a day and that took care of it. And it is washable, too, so this should not be a problem for anyone.5Works as expectedWorks like I hoped it would, offers support when lifting (personally, I only use doing deadlifts and squats), but not rigid like traditional weight belts, and it's comfortable so I can keep it on after I'm done with my heavy sets. More supportive than another support belt I used as well. It's a good balance I think, if that's what you're looking for.5This brace is worth it for the lumbar support pillow that is connectedThis support belt is worth it. I am transitioning from a prescription lumbar brace that is huge and hard, to this brace to support my T 12 vertebral space while I sleep. I had a compression fracture at the beginning of this year, and I can't sleep without support in that area. this brace has done the trick and is a relief from my large prescription brace. I only wish they included another lumbar support pillow that was slightly larger and firmer.4Great for liftersThis changed my life. My trainer recommended me to get a belt for my squatting and deadlifting to improve my form. This thing latches on to you like there's no tomorrow! I was able to lift 15% more because I wasn't worrying about ruining my back.I recommend this to anyone with a slouching problem too, this thing really holds you together.Please note that you need to learn how to put it correctly so you won't damage your back!Great gift for body builders or power lifters5Really good product.
