    and the quality is nice in terms of the transparency of the clear plasticNone of the cases arrived broken, and the quality is nice in terms of the transparency of the clear plastic, and the black pieces do not have the impurities that have been described with other similar products. However, the cases are slightly thinner than official products and they feel more fragile in your hand. Chances are if your buying these you're doing so to replace damaged jewel cases, so the idea of replacing them with newer, but flimsier cases may not be appealing depending on your standards. I ultimately decided to return my cases for a reason some might see as finicky; the engraved boxes on the black piece that holds the CD are missing the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" logos, although they are shown to have these on the Amazon product image. I intended to replace damaged cases from collectible games, but using these would make them look too inauthentic.3You receive a lot of CD cases for the priceI bought these CD cases to replace some CD s that I bought from a garage sale. I have over 400 CD s & need to replace the cases from time-to-time. This is a good price for the number of CD s that you receive although 4 of them were already broken. They were packed in a heavy duty cardboard box. I have seen how sometimes the delivery people can treat packages a bit rough so breakage does occur with the handling of items.4Cheap quality but good overall.The black piece on the inside feels very thin and cheap, but overall it's a good cheap way to revive your old CD cases. As someone who picks ups lots of CDs from flea markets and thrift stores, replacing old scratched and cracked cases with these make them look brand new and still within a justified price range.4Great value for the costThese CD jewel cases appear to be made according to the accepted standard, other than the fact that the two small squares on the black tray are left blank, rather than being labeled "Compact disc digital audio." I would recommend them to anyone looking for a cost saving alternative to the brick and mortar supply stores like STAPLES, where I made a previous purchase of 25 jewel cases at a cost of $29.98, which in comparison to the Maxtek jewel cases is 2 and 1/2 times more expensive per case.4Good experience and I recommend these jewel cases.50 Maxtek jewel cases were delivered promptly but packed loose (unsealed) in the brown shipping box. However, no worries. After close examination I am pleased to report that all 50 cases are sturdy; none are cracked or damaged. These are high end jewel cases and the price is NICE, so I will definitely purchase more.5Very thin and fragileVery thin and fragile, not at all like what you get when you buy a CD. Not surprisingly, out of a box of fifty, twelve cases were damaged. Most of them at the hinges, while some other had cracks either on the front or on the back of the jewel case. By swapping the usable pieces with the broken ones, I was able to reduce the loss to 8 cases. That s still a 16% total loss. If you can live with that and you are looking for a jewel case for light (very light) use, go ahead and buy them. Otherwise I am sure there are better products (although probably more expensive) out there.3Damaged Product, Terrible Packaging, Unhappy CustomerI just picked these up from my mail room.The context:I'm heading out of the country next week to do photography and videography for a church mission trip. The trip leaders want each member to have a disk of all the photos when they get back. So I ordered these cases for the dvds. There are 50 people going on the trip, and this company had 50 cases for sale with high reviews, they looked sturdy, so I bought them.The packaging was awful. These are fairly sturdy, but there was absolutely NO padding. They were just lined up like sardines.Five or six of the cases are broken beyond use, and a few others are scuffed so bad it will be difficult to read the rear label once I put it in the slot.I am very disappointed in this company for such undersight. Padding is the easiest insurance to make customers happy. And I am not happy since I am now short the number of cases I HAVE to have for this trip!Now I have to go spend more money to make up for the deficit and damaged products.Spend your money elsewhere.2Excellent replacement for all of the cracked cases Amazon shipsExcellent replacement for all of the cracked cases Amazon ships, I've bought hundreds of audio CDs over the years from Amazon (yes, some of us still buy those) and all of them so far-yes-100%- have arrived with the cases damaged. Some have minor cracks, many of them shattered or broken so as to be unusable. I didn't even know you could break off all of the little teeth in the middle that hold the cd in place, but many of them have that happen in shipping-or were like that to begin with. These are nice quality and allow room for the inserts.5A good case that has never arrived cracked or broken.I buy a lot of used CD's through Amazon and find these indispensable. Though the discs themselves are usually perfect, the jewel cases often leave much to be desired. if not cracked, they are usually covered with tiny scratches that occur simply from the usual wear and tear of sliding them in and out of their place on the shelves. I usually replace most of the old jewel cases right away, giving me a package which looks as good outside as it does inside.This is not my first order of these particular cases and they've always come well packed enough for me never to find any cracked cases or broken hinges. They are a bit lighter weight than the old cases I'm replacing, but that is not an issue with me as I don't think anyone is making the heavier cases and it's not an issue with me anyway. The inserts can be easily replaced with clear inserts if that's necessary. I haven't had any hinges break on me with use, either. I'm sticking with these as long as Amazon carries them.5Just ok...They're just ok.... As some other reviewers have said, they're somewhat flimsy and don't close securely. They're ok if you're only using them for moving your disks from a storage rack to your DVD/CD player, but if you're going to be putting them in a backpack, carrying case, suitcase, etc. I'd go for a little more expensive, better quality case. The price is good, but remember... you get what you pay for.(This pertains to the 50 count order.) The packaging was good in that they're in their own box and that box is inside another box protected by bubble material.3
