    Good antenna if you have a no-metal vehicle Works as advertised on my motorcycle, as there is no ground plane for a conventional antenna. Firestik factory personnel are very knowledgeable and friendly to talk to. This 4 footer works noticeably better then a 3 foot model, which was confirmed by the factory engineer I talked to. You may need to add a spring if you are going to strike the antenna on anything like trees or garage doors etc. 5Super support from Firestik Super support from Firestik. Had high SWR with this antenna initially. Contacted support and solved problem. I had stuffed the extra coax (about 5 feet) into above the door metal channel. Firestik email contact said the extra coax should be tied up in a bowtie shape (no coils). I removed the 5 feet of coax from the metal over door channel and amazed that just this brought SWR way down to less than 1.2 for the middle CB channels from over 2.8. Great support from Firestik. This is a no ground plane antenna. 5It s what you need for your RV Exactly what I needed for my RV and it arrived much earlier than originally expected 5Absolute JUNK This is the worst I have seen in a long time.. SWR.. not below 3 no matter what.. Swap it out with something else no problems.. This one is crap.. I had to wait to set it up and now past the window to return it.. Dont but this.. I dont think its genuine.. 1Very good NGP antenna I had it for a while now and it does a good job in my Motor Home. Nothing but good reports from others on the road 5Have had good swr performance from the other firesticks I own Have had good swr performance from the other firesticks I own. This one would go no lower than an even 2.0 on all channels. The firefly is more flexible than the original firestick, but does not do the hula on the highway. Good performance and range with an unturned mobile radio, measured 4.5 miles over hills, houses and trees before starting to get scratchy on the other end (the other station was garbled and scratchy by then using a stock radio and 3' firestick) 4Great for motorhome I use this when camped and have a 2-foot Firestick NGP for underway so I don't add to the overall height of the motorhome. Both screw in easily to the base that comes with this kit. The hardest part of installation (of course) was taking things apart in the RV to get to the inside of the mounting spot. Alone, this would add 2 feet to the height of the RV and I would be touching some bridges. Great reception and transmission. 5I had a k40 before and this one gets better signal quality as well as clarity Gets the job done. Great product for a fiberglass motor home. 5"Instructions sold seperately" I would have given this antenna five stars if a complete comprehensive set of instructions had been included. The instructions you get are on the back of the large cardboard packing that ships the antenna. Now, if you want the 32 page booklet on installation, tuning and troubleshooting you need to send FireStik another buck and wait for them to ship that. There is nothing more frustrating them a company that's trying to nickel and dime you on something that by all rights should have been included. I would have been happy if they had added another dollar to the total price and included the booklet. So anyway they get their buck and I get a bad memory about this potentially good product.
