    Will not last!!!! So I hate first day reviews of "works great" or "Best *** you'll ever buy" I got this system in May 7th 2018 and installed it that weekend. It's now September 12th 2018 and I've lost my second camera. I lost the first one less than a month after install. Wasn't a big deal at the time, I bought 8 cameras, and I'm only using 6 so no biggie, I have a spare. So 4 months in I just lose another camera. I go thru all the stuff tech support will tell me to do "Reboot, unplug, try another power cord, etc" and yep second camera is dead. So now I get to climb up a pole for the 5th time today (Of course the cameras that keep dying are on a pole 20' in the air) and reinstall my last spare camera.Since I don't believe is only talking about the bad... The range of these camera is fantastic, and you can put them in repeater mode (youtube it as their instructions suck and are hard to follow) and get a lot more range. I have two cameras that the end of my country driveway, about 700' from the base. Now I do have another camera 1/2 way up the drive in repeater mode it's maybe 250' from the base. Picture is great, refresh rate is fine. Setup for viewing on your phone is simple. These are 960p not 1080HD what that means is that you can not read a tag number from one of these cameras. As I write this my truck is parked 30' from my entry door camera in morning daylight (BTW the night vision on these cameras is awesome) and I can not make out the numbers on my tag. Now I have my NVR ran into my bedroom tv via an HDMI cord and a wireless mouse connected so I can set in bed and pull it up like a TV device (DVD, Cable, Video Cameras) and look at and control the cameras on a 48" TV, makes it amazing. This is NOT A SUPER HIGH DOLLAR security system, but the picture quality and night vision are exelent for the money. They got the 1 star rating after the second camera has failed in 4 months. If it wasnt for the camera fails I would have given them 5 stars. These are not 1080HD cameras and you are not NOR SHOULD YOU EXPECT to have pictures that you can read a tag number off of. If you want that quality system you'll never touch it for this kind of money. I installed this at my camp, and it was perfect for that it the cameras would stop dieing :( 1Worked for 11 months then ....... The instructions to get this to work on so it transmits the video to your phone is very poor. Very very poor. They could have paid a college student to do a better job and quintupled their sales. It took me forever to get it working and it should have been about a 30 minute setup. Anyway the system itself if fairly easy to setup and get working, its close to plug and play as you will get and the video is good. However about 11 months after installation it has stopped working. It started to beep exactly like a smoke detector in need of a battery change. I will try to see what's wrong with it and give an update. I was expecting to get at least 5 years from this so right now this should be a showstopper for all prospective buyers. Wait for my update5/8/17Immediately after posting the above review Zosi's customer service contacted me. A bit of a shocker but to make a very long story short they sent me a link for a firmware upgrade. It took 2 weeks but the issue was resolved. Score one for customer service! So I will add a star back to my original rating. 4Horrible App & cloud service Cameras are nice quality, but when you try to use the Zosi Cloud or IP Pro apps remotely to view live steams you run into major problems. The Zosi Cloud app only streams continuously for about 5 minutes and then it freezes. The IP Pro app steams for about 20 min and freezes. You then have to exit the app and then go back in. Tried it on 3 different tablets with exactly the same results.Cameras are useless without a working app. I think it has to do with their cloud service based in China, and they must have some bandwidth limiter on it that times you out after a certain period of time. So these are being boxed up and going to to Amazon today. Worthless! 1Purchased unit in the fall of last 2016. Worked ... Purchased unit in the fall of last 2016. Worked as advertised right out of the box. The smartphone app was not as user friendly as it should have been, figured it out. A month later, once it began to rain, one of the three cameras mounted outside on garage, under eve, and side of roofline to monitor the side of the house had water inside the lens. The other cam mounted unde the eve of the house began to show a snowy picture. Customer service response was quick. I returned the defective cams and they sent out replacements. Unfortunately, the instructions were vague and the replacement cams were a different model from the original two, so the power supply didn't work. They sent out replacement power supply's, but they too didn't work. I sent back the replacement cams and power cords. They sent me new cams and power cords again. Tried to connect everything, but couldn't. Was asked to send pics of various screens. They determined I needed to upgrade the firmware. Once that was done, they emailed me screen shots of procedure to delete the original cams IPC and auto add the new ones. Since last night (May 24th) working as advertised. The delays were my doing. I was out of town for weeks at a time, thus prolonging downtime, I feel that if the instructions/procedures were clearer and complete, and if the two original cams hadn't failed, The system would've been a bargain. Still might be, though... Customer support was very apologetic and helpful!!! 4Save the money and buy a system that the app actually works Ok so the camera system itself is okay. Setting it up is not as easy as other systems I've set up. Definitely not a user friendly system at all compared to other systems on the market. Picture quality is great. Here is the HUGE problem. The app for this system is HORRENDOUS! If you plan on using this system to monitor it from a phone or tablet, it is USELESS! The app barely works. If you look at the reviews for the app in the app store it has a rating of 3 stars for 500k downloads. The biggest complaint is that the app just doesn't work and that the cameras won't load in the app. They just constantly buffer. It defeats the purpose of this system. Had I know this was the issue with this system, I would have NEVER purchased it. I'm actually going to call Amazon and file a complaint because the system is mostly useless to me without the app working. 3Great security camera but be cautious putting your cameras online Just bought and installed all cameras. It is working for now. However, I had problems during the setup as only 1 camera was able to pickup the signal. It took me a while to figure out how to manually add the other cameras.Here is what I did:1. Go to System Setup2. Choose Channel Setup tab3. Click Video Manage button4. Connect the LAN cable to your camera and to NVR5. Under Added Device table, remove all non working camera to free up the channel6. Click Match Code - This would detect your camera and will automatically be added to Added device table7. Detach the LAN cable from your camera and click Refresh so the Wired settings will be removedThat's it! Hope this helps other customers.CAUTION:Be sure to add a password to your admin account. Also a word of advise, only connect your NVR online when you are leaving your house. Don't always make your cameras online as we don't know how secured their cloud system is. Their website is not even encrypted with HTTPS. Also the admin account cannot be deleted or replaced so all usernames worldwide is "admin". That is already a security issue. Even if you add a new super user, admin account is still there. 4Crappy WiFi Range The item claims to be able to reach up to 350 meters with nothing blocking the WiFi signal. I put the NVR (the WiFi router and recording piece) on my front porch as a test, and reeled out several hundred feet of extension cord for a camera as a test. The WiFi between the NVR and the camera failed at about 20 meters. If I took a few steps back (and waited), it worked again, but was very jittery in the capture of video. If I stepped back outside the 20 meter range, the signal between the NVR and camera (keep in mind there was NOTHING but air between the two) failed again.Do not buy. Does not work as claimed.I'm already in the process of returning this and will spend more money on a better system. 1I like it! Works as advertised I bought the 4 channel with the 1 TB HDD. I'm the IT guy at a manufacturing facility and this was purchased to monitor our shipping system. Something simple, well designed, afordable and reliable that could monitor our shipping conveyors, gates, doors and boxes, etc. I purchased it in April of 2016 with very little expectations honestly and it has been solid since day one. Not one issue. The gentlemen that run our shipping dept. are all over 55 yrs old country folks who have little to no tech skills ingeneral and I was worried that this system would prove difficult to teach them how to operate. It was not. Indeed they've learned it well and have adapted nicely. If there is a hangup, thefts, or just odd behavior in general they've been able to revert back to the time frame and see for themselves. We've relied on it and it has delivered.The Shipping dept. is downstairs in a concrete, semi-well lit environment with 8 ft ceilings and this has had no problems with connecting to the cameras. The farthest reach is roughly 80 feet away. All wireless connected cameras. They're all indoors as well, so I have very little experience or information regarding the night vision capabilities.Initial setup was as simple as it could possibly be guys. I merely plugged in the DVR unit, a monitor and a supplied (albiet cheap) small little mouse and began to setup the basic settings (time zone, how I wanted it to record, motion vs. continuous, etc.). It is not on our network at all, so I have it set up as a locally controlled device only. I then plugged in the cameras one by one and they all connected fine. The IT Dept. is upstairs and I was even able to connect wirelessly through the floor. Trust me when I say that is a good test wirelessly. This building was built in 1892 and was built to withstand a nuclear war!! Literally ... there are 3 bomb shelters that were constructed in the 50's inside the facility. Should work nicely for your house. I assure you.I highly recommend it and am here now to purchase another for my house and one more for a friend of mine who has problems with thefts and is interested in this.Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to respond and assist as much as possible guys. 5Caught in the act! What a great investment this was. We have a cabin that we only go to on the weekends and today someone broke in but guess what!?! We got some beautiful footage of this bozo to show it to cops and they made a positive ID. The only negative thing I can say about the system is the power cords are slightly on the cheap side. Even though the cameras are weatherproof I don't think the power cords are so if you plan to plug it in on an outside adapter or an outside extension cord you're probably going to want to invest in a heavy duty weather proof power adapter for the cameras. The footage included here shows these awesome cameras in action. You can even see the guy's face when he realizes there's a camera there and though he pulled the plug on them it was too late.Remote viewing Android note: I am aware of 5 Android apps that allow remote viewing. Two of them work great and three of them are awful. Unfortunately the ones that don't work are the ones referred to in the instruction manual. IP Pro, Eseenet Esee Eseenet+, and ZOSI VIEW are awful. Do not use them. The two apps that I have found to work very well and connect very well are ZOSI Cloud and ErocamPro (I think this app has been discontinued unfortunately but I still have an old copy). This is across multiple Android devices. The footage in my review was captured using ZOSI Cloud in playback mode.Edit 11/15/2018:. ZOSI put out a new Android app that seems to work better than any of the others. It's called "Zosi Pano" in the playstore. Don't bother to register when setting up the app (unless you want to but I really don't see a point), you can just choose "Local experience" at the bottom and then enter your cloud ID and password ect....has been working great for me for a couple of months now. It's less glitchy than any of the other apps so far. 4Cheap and WiFi never pick up the camera , Made in Chine for you !! Would not recommend, WiFi never pick up Made in China for you , plus you trust enough to put ur WiFi user name and password into their Chinese apps ? Interesting 1
