More work, not less It worked for ONE DAY. I had to wait a day for it to cycle before the timed outlets would work (I got digital) somehow the AUTO mode switched at some point and here I am, past my beardies bed time and his daytime lights are still on. Switched back to auto and they're still on. Not sure if I have to cycle again or what?? We haven't lost power, I have the power strip tucked out of reach. I'm confused and irritated. This can't continue to happen, my setup currently takes a lot of effort to swap around 2 times a day for his health and comfort, this was supposed to make my life easier. It did for a day and I enjoyed it while it lasted. 3Reptile owners- BUY this PRODUCT!!! I am SO glad I made this purchase! I don t have to think about my beardies lighting needs, or worry about getting up on time or getting home in time to turn on/off his daytime and nighttime lights/heaters. I have his UVA/B bulb and basking lamp plugged into the 2 daytime outlets, and his heating mat and nighttime bulb plugged into the nighttime outlets. Setup was easy and there s plenty of programmable options. If you have a reptile- this product is a MUST!!! It ensures he s getting the right amounts of heat, UV rays and sleep time. Great additional to keeping your little ones healthy. 5Perfect! I needed a power center for my bearded dragon. I wanted one that was easy to use, reliable, and made well. This Zilla Power Center is just that.It took me maybe three minutes to set, from opening the box, to setting the timers. Easy-peasy! I actually purchased a second one, as well.I've had it for several months without any issues at all. 5Very unhappy! It has broken since I bought it. The timer no longer works. It worked well for about a month and then it stopped working. Not only that, but the day light lights will randomly turn on in the middle of the night. I've checked the timer time and time again, it's set correctly, but it by no means works the way it's supposed to. I'm very unhappy and buying a new different one! 1Works but sometimes acts up So far this has done it's job and just works. When I first got it though, on two different occasions something happened where the day and night modes seemed to be flipped. It baffled me for awhile and honestly still kind of does as I couldn't find and information about it in the manual or online.Nonetheless it was a simple matter of disconnecting power and the battery to reset everything. I will say this particular scenario has only happened to be twice within the first month of owning it. I think it might of been caused by myself testing it's backup battery capabilities as I would random disconnect power it to see if it kept the programming the same and see if my thermostat connected to it worked fine too. It's a simple fix nonetheless and I'm not away for extended amounts of time. I could see how this could be an issue though for others. 4Have a terrarium? You need this! If you have a terrarium with numerous components connected them you need this. We have a day heat lamp, night heat lamp, heating pad and UVB source attached to ours with room to spare. The timer automatically toggles between the day and night plugs and then you have the always on plugs... it is very easy to set the timer and operate, you can also manually toggle the internal relay using manual mode. I highly recommend this power strip. 5Good timer. I've had this for about a week. So far I'm quite happy with it. The plugs are close together, so I had to purchase 6-Inch Power Extension Cable, 5-Pack, Outlet Saver, 18 AWG to get everything to fit because of the power transformers.My fish tank filter and heater are always on and plugged into the right (white) outlets. My lights are plugged into the timer 'on' side (yellow outlets) and my UV filter is plugged into the timer 'off' side (dark grey outlets).I thought it was easy to program, and I have the lights come on at different times on the weekend.It's all nice and compact.. no bulky analog timer.. and is hung on the wall to the left of my tank stand. So far no problems. Fingers crossed.Update 5/19/2019I've had this unit for over 3 years now. Had a power failure this morning, and the unit completely lost its programming. I replaced the battery (a LR-44 button cell) and reprogrammed. It's a pain to program so definitely wanted to have the new battery.I've noticed the clock will lose about 20 minutes every 6 months. That's disappointing, but it's easy to reset the clock so not a big deal. In a perfect world, it would have wifi and an app, but given how infrequent I need to mess with it, it's fine.Overall, still very happy with this purchase. 5Great way to save money and time! I know some reviewers have expressed some confusion with this device, so I am hoping I can clear that up for anyone.1- Anything you plug into the yellow sockets will be turned on during the DAY time (yellow for sunlight).2- Anything you plug into the blue sockets will be turned on during the NIGHT time (blue for darkness)3- Anything you plug into the white sockets will be turned on ALL the time.When you are setting up the timer, turn the raised arrow to the approximate time it is now. Then push DOWN each tab that represents a time slot (15 minute intervals) for the time you want the BLUE plug time electronics to function. Leave the tabs UP for the time you want the YELLOW plugs time electronics to function. The dial tabs will NOT affect any of the electronic plugged into the white plugs.~*~ If at ANY time you switch off the power strip, the power gets cut off, you unplug it, etc. make sure you move the arrow to the current time before you plug it back in.~*~ Otherwise you will see a delay in the timing of your devices.I am personally using this for my aquarium setup. I have my pump and 2 heaters plugged into the white plugs and the lights plugged into the yellow plug. I wanted to make sure there was no accidents or oops where the lights were being left on for long periods of time to not being turned on at all. Our fish on a set light/night schedule and its working out perfect.If for some reason you would like to override the dial timer, there is a switch for that as well. You can turn off the dial completely as well. There is also a master switch to turn off the whole power strip (blue, yellow, and white plugs). 5The unit did not keep track of the time of day reliably, which made it useless The concept behind this is a nice idea, but it was worthless in practice. The unit was reasonably easy to program, and it never lost its programming, but it lost track of the time constantly. Lizard lights are still on at 3:00 am, because the unit thinks it's noon. Now the lizard lights aren't on at noon, because the unit thinks it's 7:00 am. There was never any rhyme or reason to the time shifts, and after about the third day I went back to the old system of two independent cheap Christmas light timers from Walmart. 1Terrarium must have if it worked Works as advertised. Just what I was looking for.UPDATE: After using this thing for a while now I've noticed that the timer runs about 30-40 minutes slow per day. Doesn't take long before the cycle is backward. For this reason I'm lowering it to one star. It has timer in the name and pretty much its sole purpose, but it doesn't time well at all! 1
