Works perfectly right out of the box Perfect for my need. I have 2 landscape monitors, wanted to add a 3rd in portrait (vertical) configuration to ease reading of documents. My desktop HP machine is ~10 years old, so I was concerned about needing to tweak setting a lot to make it work. I have upgraded the OS to Win10 64 bit.I bought an ASUS monitor- the most reasonable one I could find that swivels to vertical configurationASUS VE198TL 19" WXGA+ 1440x900 DVI VGA Ergonomic Back-lit LED Monitor. Followed the easy instructions; the cables to connect to your computer's USB port is included. Plugged in the DVI cable to the new monitor, turned it on, and everything worked. The only tweak I had to do was go into settings and change monitor #3 to portrait mode.I'm not a gamer, so I don't stress the system too much, but if what you need is to look at documents and other routine stuff, it works perfectly. 5Quad monitor setup on old laptop. Yes you can. These things a simple to setup, work great, and are well made. I am using two of them on my old laptop to run a 50 inch TV and a monitor in addition to the HDMI port which runs another monitor. With the laptop screen, that's a quad monitor setup on an old laptop. These things are amazing. Plus they come with every possible adapter to suit your needs. 5Not 1 or 2 but 3 monitors I recently purchased this product based on the 4.5 customer ratings. I am using this for a third monitor as I was already running two. The installation was very easy and I am using the HDMI port on this device connected to the USB 2.0 on my computer. I would consider the overall set up as a no-brainer. I am using this in the "extended display" mode whereby I can have separate applications opened on each monitor and my mouse movement is from left to right across all three monitors and oh yes, I am running this on Windows 10. Remember, that you have to buy one device for each additional monitor. One device does not support multiple monitors but as you can see from the display, you have different port options i.e., HDMI, VGA and DVI. I hope my review helps. I am satisfied. 5Does exactly what it says and has useful adapters. Does exactly what it says. I used this to get an extra monitor output on a tablet when docked as well as with a MBP. DisplayLink can use a decent amount of CPU on weaker computers keep that in mind. Other than that it works great. Love the included adapters. I have used them for other projects as well. 5If you have exhausted all of your normal avenues for getting additional monitors working - this will work. You may have to update some drivers depending on the age of your computer. If you are unsure, and fumbling trying to figure out if a particular cord combination, or combination of inputs and outputs will work - just jump right to this and save the money and time. You need one for each monitor that is not currently working, but only for the ones that don't currently work on your current set up. This has a small video card on board and is powered. So regardless of what your pc will allow you to do with what is on-board, this will bypass all of that and make it work provided you have a spare USB 2.0 or higher. If you are a frustrated Dell user like me - this is probably your only option. 5Make sure you USB ports work lol I've bought an older Dell computer from a friend of mine. It's running Windows XP, 16/32 bit operating system. Where my HP computer is running Windows 10, a 64 bit operating system. I have some older Games (X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter) and some older programs that Well Not run on a 64 bit OS. So I'm trying to get HP computer and this older Dell computer to run. Using 1 mouse, 1 monitor, 1 keyboard. By connection both computers together by using a IOGear 2 Port HDMI KVM Switch. My Dell does not have a HDMI port. So we bought your Display Adapter, plugged everything in and it worked Great for about 5-6 hrs. Then the USB hub on the motherboard went out. There are 6 USB ports on the back and 2 on the front. All 8 are not working at this time. We've ordered a new 3.0 USB hub it will be here in 2 days.It was working like it was designed to for about 6 hrs. I'm hoping the USB hub is all that not working...Thank you,A C Krauss 5They just work! This is the 5th one of these models I have purchased. They just work - unlike others I have dealt with that have terrible drivers that cause problems. These are so good - folks keep borrowing and NOT returning them 5Awesome Display Adapter Purchased this because I wanted to expand my current setup from 2 to 3 monitors. My DVI and HDMI port were both being used, so I found this option and it has worked flawlessly. I am extremely pleased with how this adapter performs, it's like the monitor is plugged into a DVI port. Will definitely buy another one when I expand to 4 monitors. 5Worth the price and easy to install. Adapter works great. Windows 10 detected the 2nd monitor almost instantly. Also comes with an install disc (which was not needed) Im using computer to sequence lights to music. So having the model on one screen and the sequencer on another really helps my eyes. 5... you know it worked and I couldn't be more pleased.. I purchased this so I could hook up a vga cable and what would you know it worked and I couldn't be more pleased... of course it also comes with the DVI adapter and and yet again it did not disappoint expanding couldn't be any easier just plug and play..... I recommend this product and I will more than likely purchase another one soon. 5
