To the point of having to remove it. Something is definitely wrong with the filter. I guess the company no longer cares after their customers are stuck with the pitcher. 1Do not buy!! I bought the zero filter system. I used the meter and with the original filters in filter package, both times,(2 filters) I would get zero after testing the water. When I ordered this replacement, I am getting 17 and 12. Why? I will not be buying these from this seller again. And it doesn't taste as fully filtered either. I should be getting my money back!!! 1Zero water for sure! I had purchased a used system at a thrift store but wanted new filters. We have had water issues with our well, filters, RO, softener, etc. ever since flooding from hurricane Florence. We are DIY people so has been a process. These filters and the accompanying test meter gives me a good feeling when it's always now a "0". Wish the price could be a bit better or offers for special on multipacks. I am enjoying drinking our water once again with this product. 5Less than 5 stars This order of replacement filters had a lot of loose charcoal. I went on line to check, because the water was black with particles. I had to rinse the filters several times until the water was clear. This never happened to me before now. I've had to rinse other brands, so I wasn't totally surprised. This why I gave a 4 star rating. 4Don't know if it's the real product I order 2 filters. One filter did not work. After filtering the water it was worst than regular tap water. The other filter worked ok. Would be carefully when ordering from this company. Check water reading as soon as you use filter to ensure filter is working properly. 2Crummy knockoff I agree with other reviewers that these filters are knockoffs. They don t have the zero water logo on them. The company states that all authentic zero water filters have the logo. Check heir website for yourself. I became suspicious after replacing the original filter that came with the pitcher. It takes literally all day to refill the pitcher, suggesting either a design or manufacturing problem that didn t exist with the authentic zero water filter. I will be buying my replacement filters directly from the company website, and suggest Amazon look into banning this product for falsely claiming to be made by zero water. 1Water tastes like perfume These smelled like perfume when I took them out of the bag. When I used the first one, it made my water taste like perfume, which made me feel sick. The taste improved slightly when I used soap to scrub the outside of the filter, but it still made the water taste bad, so I had to throw the filter away. The second filter in the two-pack was usable only after scrubbing the sides with soap. I have never had this problem with these filters before, but this turned out to be a very disappointing purchase. 1Why does the filtered water contain tiny clear/gold spheres?? Yesterday I noticed that the fairly recently installed filter (one of two recently bought) is starting to produce water that includes tiny clear or slightly gold colored bubble-like spheres. These spheres are also noticeable in the upper (white) part of the pitcher, where one pours water into the pitcher for filtering. Of course the greatest concern is that these appear in the drinking water, after filtering.This is extremely disturbing. I have no idea how long my family and I might have been ingesting these unwanted and nearly invisible contaminants in the water filtered through the Zerowater systerm. I'm concerned that I not only wasted $30 on the filters, but that my family's health has been compromised through a system that was promoted as one that protects us. Even if Zerowater (or anyone) were to try to convince me that the spheres are harmless to ingest, I'd have to be a fool to take that on face value. (I have contacted Zerwater directly as well.) 1New filter plugged after being used for just 2 weeks. I am very disappointed in these. I used the Zero filter I bought at Walmart for a few months before it quit working a couple of weeks ago. I figured I got my monies worth. Not with this one! The new one got plugged up after using it for 2 weeks! I will probably get my next refills at Walmart again. This sort of performance is not cost effective. 1Need assistance asap, do I return? Help the first meter read 19ppm and after 9 refills its up to 24ppm. When I bought the filter it was 002ppm, this is my first set of replacement filters. Please assist, do I need to return? Are they defective? Do they have specific instructions? 2
