Comfy For the past five years I ve used a Tactical Ear Gadgets listen only plugged into my lapel mic. I ve only used that brand s ear pieces. Normally when I get a new ear piece my ear will ache for a couple of days until they conform to my ears.I got these in clear large. They seem like they re the same dimensionally as the TEG, but as soon as I put them in I found that they re more comfortable. It feels like they re already the right shape for my ears and it seemed to have a tighter grip than the TEG (that s good in case of scuffles).I haven t had the chance to wear these long term yet so idk how they ll last.My only gripe about these is they come in a left/right pair. I only use the left one, so the right one is just a waste. However, a pair of these cost 60% of one TEG, so I m still saving money.Overall, if you like the TEG one then these are at least as good at a cheaper price. 5Great external mic/speaker for my radio! I am very impressed by the build quality of this mic. Very inexpensive and seems quite tough. I use it with the external "listen-only" ear speaker as I ride a motorcycle. I can hear it 100% perfectly... even without the ear speaker!I haven't had it in rain yet, but it looks like it could hold up.Great product!! 5Quality is lacking At first I was in love. These fit great, sounded good and were very comfortable. After a few uses I noticed that the sound was slightly harder to hear in noisy environment than the ear plug style. These let more surrounding sounds in than the plug style ear pieces. The other issue is that the right ear is splitting where the tube plugs into this. It s almost unusable already and I ve only had this maybe 2 months and used it a dozen or so times. I really wanted to love this but the durability is a huge issue for me. Maybe I just got a defective one but it s frustrating none the less. If you work in quieter environments this earpiece absolutely rocks but if you do events or concert type shows then this is extremely hard to hear with. 2The clearness won t remain clear after a few months of wear, but still an awesome product. I have bought all sorts of earpieces for my career use. What I love about these is the fact that you can hear clearly even when worn on the ear, your ear is not fully plugged like other pieces. Your able to hear like if you weren t wearing an earpiece. During calls it s perfect fit. I m able to answer calls while wearing it on my ear and still be blue to hear pass the earpiece. 5Better than the stock earbug plugs but needs the help of a heat gun to really work perfectly. About a year ago, my coworker purchased a pair of similar earbuds to make long days on surveillance, a bit more comfortable. She didn't need both sides so she gave me the extra one. I loved it! I could finally hear conversations around me since my ear wasn't plugged with the stock earbuds on our surveillance kits at work. Plus, I could still hear walkie convos clearly. Life changing, really.Anyway, fast forward 10 months. We didn't use surveillance for a couple months and this earbud ended up in the bottom of my bag. It was crushed, smooshed and likely heated/cooled daily. Needless to say, it was completely deformed and useless after so much neglect. So I decided to order this pair. They are the same size, same color and same style. For some reason though, these aren't as good. They are stiffer plastic so they don't form to my ear as easily. I gave the extra one to that same coworker since her old one was getting pretty beat up, too. She agreed that it wasn't as comfortable. It is still waaaaayyyy better than the stock earbuds but this one falls out all the time since it doesn't fit quite right and is more rigid.I used my heat gun to help it form a little bit better but it still isn't as squishy and snug as the previous pair. Maybe a few more blasts with the heatgun will help but I'm only giving three stars since these were nearly useless right out of the bag. 3At your own risk! First few weeks it was painful as the material is stiff in the ear. After the first month, it was soft and very comfortable. I loved it. Then the 2nd month it became warped and eventually cracked. Good thing it's a two pack, but now I have to deal with the stiff pain in my ear again until it softens. I'll be shopping around for a better item. 2So much better than the standard surveillance kit earpieces Bought these for work as we use a lot of surveillance radio kits but many of my team find them uncomfortable and that the standard ear bud fixture falls out of their ears easily and can also mean you have to turn the volume up quite high to be able to hear.These solve all of those problems. They are a really comfortable fit and once you figure out which size works for you they are very secure in the ear. Also because of the way they sit in the ear canal they have great, clear audio.They can be a little confusing at first to attach and also insert in your ear but there are plenty of instructions avaialable online and once you've done it once it's easy from there on.Would highly recommend. 5Not good for noisy environments I work as security in an amusement park, so I need to hear everything on the radio as well as in my surroundings. This earpiece only accomplishes one however.With this earpiece I can easily hear what is going on around me. It doesn't block my hearing whatsoever. Unfortunately, in order to hear what's going on over my radio, I need to turn it up to max volume. And even that isn't enough. I will say that the earpiece is comfortable.Overall, if you don't work in a noisy environment this earpiece would be fine for you. 2Vast Improvement with Negligible Downside The Good:- These are comfortable to wear for at least twelve hours, and due to their shape, require little readjustment. In fact, most of your messing with them will be to ensure it's still in your ear, because it's comfortable enough to forget it's there.- They provide both a R and L ear insert, so you can pick your preference, and you have the other as a backup should you lose one.- Co-workers with these stated that they were able to hear radio traffic better with them than the common "mushroom" earbuds. Now that I have my own, I agree with their assessment. I can hear more clearly than I could with the mushrooms, and at a lower volume.- The design is open: ambient sound from your surroundings is allowed through, and this surprisingly doesn't interfere with your ability to hear when traffic is being received.The Bad:- While these being clear is also kind of a benefit (see: Other Remarks), the downside is they discolor easily from wax and are quick to look dirty as a result, especially inside the tube which is narrow and difficult (but not impossible with a little force) to access with a cotton swab. Cleaning them with alcohol helps, but will not prevent discoloration.Other Remarks:- Being clear, there are no issues with matching skin tone for those concerned with appearances.- These are better than the mushroom earbuds in every way. Their comfort alone is enough to justify the upgrade. But the added benefits of clarity, being able to hear transmissions at a lower volume, and being able to hear your surroundings allow me to say without hesitation that they are a *safer* alternative. 4Just need to read the instructions. Received these Zeadio radio ear pieces on time in perfect condition. I was very frustrated at first and could not get them to fit. Read the instructions and look at the photos. I was trying to put them in backwards. Once I got them in correctly they performed well. Stay in the ear and are very comfortable. I will buy again as needed. 5
