    Troubling lack of information about lead content I couldn t be more angry about the lack of information regarding the lead warning. Wash your hands after use???? There s no way I would have purchased these if this warning had been available to me. 1cheap, convenient and just works I purchased this item as am am going to be away form home for a few weeks. Connected it to the light. I am hoping that this would give curious people the impression that somebody is home! :-)As a bonus, I also like the fact that when I come home from work the light is already on.Setup was breeze, came with clear instructions. This thing just works and much cheaper than other similar mechanical switches. 5Works Great I needed a timer to plug my Christmas lights into, this was perfect. I was a little unsure of how to use it because it didn't really come with good instructions. However there is a video on this page that explains what to do perfectly. If you're plugging it into a standard outlet and you put it on the bottom, you will be able to plug things above it. I made my mistake not realizing the plug above it was powering my flood lights and had a larger head on it. Still it managed to fit. Great deal works perfectly for the price 4This product works great, and for my purposes I couldn't ask for ... This product works great, and for my purposes I couldn't ask for anything better. I only give four stars because the timer runs a little short of 24 hours, so if you set the timer to turn on and off at specific times of the day, then it will eventually be off because the timer doesn't run exactly 24 hours. I personally have no reason for that, I use it to regulate a heater so that it comes on and off every few hours (the exact time of day isn't all that important to me). 4DANGEROUS!! Almost caused a fire! I wish I could give this zero stars. I wanted to use this to regulate the light on my fish tank. After setting it correctly according to the instructions, I went to plug it in and there was a huge ZAP as it blew out several of the outlets in my house. Sparks flew, and it left a charred soot mark on the product and on my hand. VERY DANGEROUS, piece of crap product. Do not buy anything from this company or risk a possible fire. 1They are extremely easy to set up and use and they work exactly ... I have several of these little timers to run plant grow lights in my condo that gets virtually no natural light. They are extremely easy to set up and use and they work exactly as intended. Just push down a segment to make it an ON segment and lift up a segment to make it OFF. There's a manual switch at the top of the timer so you can turn your light or whatever on at any time if you need manual control as well. 5Straight up garbage Don't trust this timer for anything important. I needed 2 for my garden (important). I ordered this one because I didn't want to go "cheap". Lol. Anyway, first timer had a stubborn pin that wouldn't go down (can you say hermies?) and it popped out with the slightest pressure. I wanted it to go in, not out lol. Upon opening the second timer I noticed that it's 2 prong, not 3. Maybe I should've read the listing description better, or maybe they should just make their timers the same way everyone else does: with the 3 prong outlet. Needless to say, useless. I've owned dozens (no exaggerations) of different cheap, generic timers and to be fair, they all fail eventually, but I guess just by chance (SARC/) they all worked great from deboxing and were all 3 prong. Woods needs to step their game up. 1So simple it is awesome. It works. Better than I actually expected, even. It comes on and goes off on time. It is just for a single aquarium lamp right now, but I wanted to test this out and see how I liked it. For its price it seems like a great value to control my tank lights. I thought about getting fancy and connecting everything to WiFi.... but why? I have been switching the light on and off myself for years. This works just fine and I would recommend it. Super easy to use, too. 5He loves it and I love it. Doesn't make a ticking noise and is ... I use this to automatically turn on and off my reptiglo light for my Russian tortoise. He loves it and I love it. Doesn't make a ticking noise and is easy to program to whatever times you need it on. 4They need to tell you what a segment pin is The instructions say to pull ALL the segment pins up first (these are the little plastic pieces on the outside of the dial that don't resemble a "pin" at all so I had no idea what they were talking about at first), then push down the segment pins that show what time you want the lights to be ON. They said if it's currently past the time the light should be on it should turn off (it did not). I'll give it another 24 hours. The timer override seems to work but it just turned the lights off when they were supposed to be off anyway. I broke two fingernails trying to pull the little plastic pieces up - you owe me a manicure. The price is excellent and once you understand the instructions it is quite easy to set - I'll give it sometime to work. Perhaps a diagram in the instructions would have been helpful. I really hope this works - I don't want to have to purchase yet another brand that doesn't work. 2
