    Even holds a 950XL Got it for my wife. Although she was skeptical it could hold her ginormous phone (Lumia 950XL), it's been working great. I put one of the extra plates in my phone's case so mine can use it too.Now we can put our phone up and take it off with one hand which makes getting in and out of the car with stuff a lot easier. We were also able to position it so it blocked less air than its predecessor which is nice with the summer approaching in Tucson.In the photo, the old mount was still sitting below this one. 5Great at first but will scratch your vent. At first it was perfect. The magnets are very strong. Tbh u can almost use it without the plate on some phones. But the rubber is soft.. and the metal prongs are thin and cut through it. That scratches the vent plate. Very unhappy with that. Wish they had a harder rubber or plastic covering the prongs the softer rubber on the ends. Also when the metal cuts through the rubber the whole thing doesnt stay on for long. As now its grip is mosty the metal pieces 2The magnets are super strong, and the metal plate is so thin ... I've had this for about a week. I have an LG V10 which is quite big and heavy, so I was worried there would be an issue with it staying secure. So far it's stayed put perfectly! The magnets are super strong, and the metal plate is so thin that it doesn't add any weight to the phone. The only negative I can see, which will vary by each vehicle is, I have a 2013 Nissan Altima, and I have to have it a bit crooked siting in the vent for it to work because the open and close tab of the vent is positioned in the center of each, but it's really no big deal. 5This has been a good mount for my phone This has been a good mount for my phone. I think the only problem I have with it is I own another one from Best buy, different brand, that the clips for the air vent are a lot tougher and closer together than this one. It still holds pretty well in the vent though. Just not as securely as the other one I have. Compared to the price on the other one though, this one is great deal. Buy, it. I sell Real Estate so I'm constantly jumping in and out of the car and plugging the next showing into the phone real quick. I can lay this one right up to the vent in a second and let go and its holds it tight. Great product. Needs a little more grip in the back clips. If it had that, I would give it a 5. 4Not a great design It does work, but for my phone which has an otter box I needed to put the metal pad on the outside of the box to get it to stick. Going with just the plate inside the phone case it would fall off anytime I hit the brakes or slightly bumped it. With the plate on the outside it sticks great. Too well in fact. I can't remove the phone without the whole unit coming with it. Since the base just slides onto the vents it comes off easily. It's annoying to use but I paid for it and it's not worth returning or getting something better. 2frustrating. I have mixed feelings. It is so compact and simple, that I love. I find that the back clasps are just slightly too loose to keep my phone stable. I have an iPhone 6plus. My phone just feels wobbly and heavy on it, and it has fallen a few times. I affixted to the opening of my stereo cover, as it gripped that much better. It worked for a few days, but after taking your phone off a few times, everything weakens badly. The back has now 3 wobbly rubber pieces that lost their grip, and the metal is exposed under. I will include photos later. I love the front design and the magnetic concept with the plates, but the back is flawed. 2The round 4 magnet models are better! We all have the earlier, all-virtually-identical-no-matter-the-brand round, 4 magnet versions of this, and we love them. I got a new phone and a case for it that turned out to be thicker than the case I had on my previous phone. It was just enough that my new phone doesn't stick as firmly as the old one, and often falls off. So I thought I'd try this new, 6 magnet mount that they brag is stronger than the 4 magnet ones.Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that this one is weaker than the 4 magnet ones! I'm sadly sending it back. 1Worked perfectly after a little experimentation Just installed this guy in my car today. At first it didn't work too well. My car has vertical vents and an asymmetrical dash that curves in multiple dimensions. This means that my vents are also not rectangular. At first I tried to mount the base to the lower right-hand corner of the vent. The problem was that the vent fins were still free to move left and right about a 1/2". I thought that was just something I would have to deal with, but after trying some different mounting placements, I found a mounting point that basically put the back of the mount flush with the dash. Long story short, try a few different mounting points. Some may work better than others. Aside from mounting, everything else worked just fine from the first try. The magnetic base is very strong. I have a thin cover over my phone and just sandwiched the steel plate inside the cover. The magnetic is very strong and has no problem holding the phone through the cover, near-vertically and the phone is not that light either. It's a Galaxy S8+. 5Perfect for my new 2019 Tundra... I am not disappointed and am very happy with my purchase. 5Love the WizGear Rectangle magnetic mount. I really didn't think I'd like this WizGear rectangle vent mount. I didn't want to push on my vent. I didn't want the heat to come out of my vent and heat up my iPhone. But I thought I'd take a chance and ordered it, especially because of all the great reviews. My iPhone 6s case is a Spigen with an indent inside the case where the metal plate can easily go. (I see others gluing the metal plate to the iPhone and then putting the case on the iPhone. I don't like that.) The mount attaches securely to the vent. The iPhone attaches securely to the mount. I'm used to window mounts and they shake up and down a lot more. I'm not the kind of person who would glue anything to my dash. This vent mount makes my iPhone almost look like part of the dash. I wonder if in the future car manufacturers will make a magnetic area on their dash. I'd like that. (Also, I just don't direct heat out the vent when the phone is there.) 5
