    It provides great lighting to our dining area and looks great We went from a pendent light (not sure why the last homeowner put a pendent light in the kitchen table area) to this fixture. It provides great lighting to our dining area and looks great. Very easy to install. Let the board games commence!Please note that you will need to use pliers to adjust the length of the chain, which will leave marks. I used a black sharpie and you cant tell that the chain has been scratched at all! 5Some poor reviews unjustified... I read the "bad" reviews about this, and some of the complaints seem unjustified. For those who complained that the mounting plate bent or was weak - I'll bet you didn't attach it to the ceiling with anchors as recommended! Complaints about the rope, however, are more justified. It's stiff, kinks easily and mine arrived with small tears in the covering. Overall it looks great and the problems are minor, I'm keeping it. 4Like It? Buy It!! :D Love These Lights!! It took a lot of researching for me to finally decide on this light for my dining room. I simply LOVE it! Especially for the price!! I almost got the kind that had glass versus metal--but cleaning the glass every day would be a nightmare (that's what I read in the reviews--no thanks, right? Though I did get a glass one for my foyer, and you can see it in one of the photos--love that, too!). There was one small flaw on the inside of these lights underneath, but no one would notice it but me. I bought the "Original Vintage Thomas Edison Incandescent Light Bulbs - 6 Pack - Tungsten Filament, Amber Clear Glass, 60 Watts, 120 Volts, E26 / E27 Medium Base" here on Amazon for them. You really need 60 watts, or the lights will be too low. I thought with having 4 lamps I'd only need 40 watts, and initially bought Brightech's gorgeous 40 watts. Nope. Plus they weren't dimmable--a deal breaker for me. The ones I listed first are. Hope my review has helped! :-) 5Absolutely beautiful light fixture...amazing quality I posted two photos one with the light on and one with it off. I have 3 Edison's in the fixture which provides a very warm light...perfect for relaxing. The light fixture came well packaged, with all of the parts and instructions included. The installation was straight forward. The weight was a little surprising. I kind of expected a faux pulley system , however the pulleys are fully functional which makes the height adjustment extremely easy. There are other light fixtures that look similar to this one, but for way more money... I can't imagine there would be much of a quality difference between this one and a most pricey one like it. This is by far one of the best purchases I've made. 5High End Look - Great Price! We love our new light fixture over our breakfast nook! Great look for right price. Prior reviews mentioned the flimsy mounting plate....we put a couple of additional screws through it for reinforcement. Worked like a charm! Looks like a high end fixture for just over $100! 5Great Deal! Looks Expensive! Very pleased with this light fixture. Installation wasn't too difficult however you will need another person to help hold the fixture while making the wire connections.I was a little surprised at the weight of the counterweight, it's pretty heavy. The mounting plate seemed a little light weight, but I followed the instructions and used the supplied plastic anchors to help secure the mounting plate to the ceiling along with the screws going into the junction box.I was concerned that the mounting plate may not hold the fixture however once I secured it, it seemed to hold fine. I contemplated drilling a couple of extra holes in the plate and inserting more anchors in the ceiling but I didn't.I purchased led dimmable 60W Edison style bulbs at Walmart and they look great! The bulbs provide a nice warm light for dining and are bright enough to light up the area around the dining table. The fixture is connected to a dimmer switch.Adjusting the height of the fixture is very easy and if you need to make sure it's level you can just adjust how the counterweight is sitting on the cables.Very happy with how good the fixture looks with our table and love that it can be raised or lowered! 5Farmhouse Chic - love it! This light worked perfect for my weekend project bathroom redo. I was going for a farmhouse look and this light pulled the whole bathroom together! I put mine against a wooden base to give it a more rustic feel, and so it would sit out in front of the mirror more. Love it! 5Very Rich Looking This is a very nice light, a few exceptions though, most kitchen ceilings aren t as high as this light is wired for, the counterweight hangs in the way of where you want your light unless you adjust and shorten the wiring before hanging it, also don t waste your money on the light bulbs they advertise because they are way to dark and you ll realize you ve wasted your money, the lightbulbs I bought are Ecosmart 100watt LED the energy usage is equivalent of a 15watt Incandescent lightbulb, I attached a picture of the lightbulbs I bought 5Love this light fixture! I bought this to match the mostly farmhouse style that my older home has evolved into. It looks amazing and functionally it provides a ton of light. I have it set with a dimmer switch, and am using the LED 60 watt Edison vintage looking bulbs. I also really like how the bottom of each of the four fixtures is white, which matches my dining room wall color. Couldn't be happier with it! If you like rustic, and/or vintage, I highly recommend it. 5I LOVE it! I put this up in my kitchen ... I LOVE it! I put this up in my kitchen and it looks great. I did LED lights bulbs in mine- while I love the look of edison bulbs they are too yellow for my taste and I still think it looks great. Easy install, I did it over my lunch break.I would definitely recommend! Came right on time as well. 5
