AWESOME little device! This little thing is like a Swiss army knife for data. I bought a 32GB Samsung EVO Select microSD card to use with it, both given as a gift. Perfect for the newer phones using USB-C as well as older phones using microUSB.I regularly use its OTG feature to flash custom ROMs and relevant packages to the phone without having to use ADB which is sometimes unreliable and is often a pain to get working correctly. TWRP detects this as USB-OTG flawlessly every time and I'm able to transfer packages between the phone and a computer as needed. 5Great little devise This a great little devise much easier than plugging you camera in the computer USB. I also have an old cell phone that had great camera on it with a mini USB port. I am now able to use the cell phone as a camera only by using the mini card reader. 5Excellent memory card reader Excellent memory card reader. Has everything you need (minus the memory card), to add more storage space. In my case, to my 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 phone, which lacks an external microSD memory card slot.**NOTE** Your phone must be OTG (On The Go) capable. If you don't know what that means, just Google it. That would have been another $900+ phone, and another 2yr commitment. My S6 is still a very good phone, minus the missing microSD card slot. More importantly, I only owe $80 more until it's paid off. They can keep that overpriced S8, and I'll keep my $900.I found a much better, and more affordable solution, by combining the two items (128GB microSDxc card, and Vanja SD card reader) listed below.Just slide the memory card into the reader, then plug the mini reader (smaller than a USB stick/thumb drive) into your phone (via the microSD slot, or the new USB Type-C slot). Voila, 128GB (119GB available) of much needed additional storage space "on the cheap." The phone recognizes it immediately. Or plug the Standard USB connector into a laptop or other device. But then I saw the flip-up piece of metal on the end to be inserted into my phone, flipped it up and it inserted perfectly. I was able to quickly able to transfer all my large pic files onto an SD card, so my phone now has a lot of freed up capacity. When going on vacation to adventure destinations where your camera can be dropped into a raging river, off a cliff or into the ocean, this is a great device to back up your pictures to a second device. Easy to use and fairly inexpensive, this worked great on my vacation. I was able to copy pictures from my SD card which my DSLR uses onto my phone. I also backed up the pictures to another USB memory stick which allows three copies of pictures with ease for peace of mind. 5Cost effective yet high quality SD reader. This thing doesn t mess around. As cliche as that sounds, it s a good quality SD/MicroSD reader/writer! What s most surprising is how they got a micro USB to be merged in with a regular USB.I ve honestly never seen that done before, but it feels incredibly sturdy (more so than a standard micro USB connector).Transfer speeds are good, and had no troubles dumping what files I needed to.It s compact, nicely priced, good quality, and perfectly functional.Used on Windows 10, with SD card successfully read on a Pocket PC. 5
