    Great SoundWe had two-way speakers in our travel trailer that weren't giving very good sound. Installation was simple for me, and they sound so much better. Deep, crisp sound. They sound Greta but not as good as my JBL speakers.5Great speakers for the priceI bought two sets of this speakers 3 years ago,. at first, they were an upgrade over my factory speakers; deeper bass and the highs did't sound so harsh. Recently, though, I bought a 4 channel amplifier to connect a new subwoofer and manage to plug the front speakers on it. The difference is outstanding, they became alive, the soundstage is bigger and the sound in general is much more detailed and bright. If I have a complain is that now the treble is a bit to loud for me, so I have turn it down to the minimum in the stereo.5Really good sound. Best bang for your buck I installed these speakers in my '17 Subaru Forester to replace the Blaupunkt aftermarket speakers that I used to replace the factory speakers. Night and day difference. This is comparable,if not better, than the Kicker speakers that I installed in my friend's '18 Subaru Crosstrek. Bass is really present. Mids are clear. Highs are ok. These speakers are very responsive. I use these with factory head unit. You will be pleased. 5Great speakers for Ford vehicles. Easy to install using speaker adapters for the wiring. The price is much lower than my local box store for these. I installed them in a 1997 Ford Ranger single cab which is laughably a bad place to install any speakers. I used Metra speaker adapters and had all four of these speakers in and done in under 45 minutes. They fit perfectly into my doors and the rear panels. Ford has these things firing at your legs and then in the rear they fire at the bottom of the seats. Horrible for audiophile needs. That said, I'm getting good sound out of them. I am running a subwoofer and have these crossed over at 125hz so that they don't vibrate my door panels or destroy themselves if I crank up the music. 52002 4runnerBought a used 2002 4Runner and the previous owner had done a good job on the front component speakers, but skipped out on the back speakers. So, it wasn't like my sound was hurting, but I wanted better. Installed the TSA1376Rs in the rear doors and bingo. Good mids, and crispy thuds. Did some simple EQing on the head, and the overall sound is much improved. Well worth the $ and easy install.5Quality on a BudgetThese 5.25" speakers are great for improving your car audio system. I have had these for almost a month and I am very pleased with them. There is such clarity in the higher frequencies that I can hear bits of songs I could never make out before on any kind of speaker device including headphones.However, although the frequency response goes down to 32 Hz, and it does, it is very weak. These speakers are meant to be paired with a sub. I am working on getting a sub at the moment and I'm sure it will sound amazing. I have the 6.5" of this series installed in the back dash and while 125 Hz is strong in those, anything below is lacking as well.The highs are quite strong, be sure to utilize your EQ. I have a Sony with a 10 band EQ and I take 1 dB off of the 16 KHz and add 1 dB on 8 KHz. It subtly takes the hiss off of drums and voices, then boosts clarity and prominence of instruments like guitars. Though even if you have a 3 band 1 off the treble might be advised if playing high volume music. These speakers can put out more high end than your ears might be used to listening through any other device.These speakers are high quality and budget priced. If you are budget minded in your upgrade, these are worth the extra $30 over the cheap ones. You really do get the best of both worlds.5Great sound quality for this price point. (Beware of Kicker speakers). I have had Kicker subs several years back and loved them so 3 months ago I purchased 2 pairs of Kicker 40CS684 at $45 per pair to replace my factory speakers on 2006 F150 Supercrew, running on a pioneer deck at 35W per channel and no amp. They did sound slightly better than factory OEM BUT 1 speaker blew at 2 months and a 2nd blew out at 3 months.I purchased this set to replace the 2 blown Kicker speakers at the recommendation of a friend. I was skeptical of the paper cone and bland appearance but they have significantly better range, clarity and bass. All around they sound twice as good as the Kickers ever did. I am not giving these 5 stars because I feel they are the best speakers out there, I am giving these 5 stars because I feel they are the best speakers in this price range. I plan on buying another set of these to replace the other Kickers. 5The highs are clean and crisp but not harsh like some other brands I have put together several car audio systems together over the years and have used equipment from most of the usual companies. What I have learned is that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on equipment. Most people can not tell the difference between an average priced system and a system costing thousands. Much of the difference is detected using special equipment. What you need to consider is the overall quality of the equipment. As expected these Pioneer speakers have a very high quality sound and build. The highs are clean and crisp but not harsh like some other brands. The mids are also very clean with a good amount of bass. The only extra item I used in the install was foam sound rings. These replaced the factory speakers in aa 2017 Ford SHO with the Sony premium system which is OEM amplified (total system of 400 watts max). It's not a massive system but it can be turned to the max volume without distortion. It's so loud, you cannot sit in the car at that volume without discomfort.Obviously the type and size of enclosure will dictate the amount of bass you can get. Don't expect to get lows that will rattle you vehicle but there is plenty on tap. Most people will enjoy these speakers. In my opinion, they have an overall pleasant sound, no harsh highs and a clean consistent mid bass. Best of all they won't break your wallet. 5Five StarsSound is awesome,good price,and its a pioneer a trusted brand in my book5Amazing upgrade! I purchased these speakers to replace what I though was my factory door speakers. When I bought the truck only the driver door speaker worked but it was extremely quiet and rattled a lot, so my thought was that my other door speakers might have been blown. When I went to do the install I was able to use the wires the previous owner had already spliced in to the factory harness on the driver door, and wow what an amazing sound. Come to find out there was a set of Rockford Fosgates installed already. Upon taking the passenger door speaker out, I discovered that it had simply come disconnected, so I plugged it in to check the operation and it worked fine. I must say that the one new pioneer speaker surpassed the performance and quality of the two Rockford Fosgates that were already installed. I am very happy with my purchase and I recommend these speakers to anyone looking to give their stock system a fresh sound. These speakers have added so much life to my vehicle that I am even considering holding off on the sub woofer installation I was planning. 52016 Honda Civic LX Sedan - Rear Speaker Shopping List: Metra 72-7800 Speaker Connector [$6] Sound Dampening - Noico 80 mil 10 sqft car Sound Deadening Mat [$22] Pioneer TS-A1686R A-Series 6.5" [$48] -(Great sounding speakers, even with a pretty weak OEM stereo, You can get an equalizer on your media device to greatly makeup for some extra bass/volume, and speed up the break in period. The bass is much cleaner than the crappy OEM speaks, not as boomy, because they aren t boomy, they likely, won t be boom heavy as the crap OEM speakers. Given more power/and an equalizer w/ bass boost, you can get a LOT more performance out of these speakers, than OEM.***These speakers will not sound that great before they are broken in!***Very clean mids and Treble! Now I need to replace the front 6.5s .. LOL..)If you want massive bass, buy a sub! These speakers can handle amazing bass without distorting, but can rattle your car with the massive sound, even with dampening! They are currently the only speakers working in my 1996 F250 (amp for the rear speakers is on the fritz) so there these are running solo. The sound from them is excellent. The bass is strong and low. Of course not sub woofer strong but impressive for 6.5" speakers. The bass levels are perfectly acceptable for everyday listening. You won't win bass competitions but they sound great for their size. The overall sound is smooth and well balanced. The high frequencies are strong but not harsh.I nearly always buy 2 way speakers. I've always though anything more was just a gimmick. It may be but in this case it's a gimmick that at least sounds good.These speakers work well in their own and would work great with a sub system bolstering their decent bottom end. Add in a matching set of rear speakers and I think you would have an excellent system without breaking the bank. 5Overall nice speaker thoughPaired these up to a Kenwood amp on my motorcycle. The mids and highs are crisp and clean and by adding tuning tubes I was able to enhance the bass but if you want something that "thumps", you'll need a separate sub-woofer. Overall nice speaker though.4Sounds great!These little guys pack a punch! I'm pushing them with 75W at 4ohms and they can handle it. Keep in mind they are for highs and mids only as part of a larger system. I've read reviews where some people comment there's not enough bass.......huh? Of course not! They're 5" speakers.5Pioneer is always a beautiful addition.Pioneer is the best all-around performer in automotive audio. I ve bought about every full-range speaker you can buy, and I ve never been disappointed by pioneer products.52010 Ford F-150 Supercab replacement speakers. These are better speakers than my original Ford F-150 factory speakers. The price is right and the sound quality is perfect for my needs. I just needed to replace a couple blown (torn) rear speakers in my 2010 F-150 and these worked perfectly and were a snap to install. I ended up replacing all four factory speakers with these and so far they sound great. The install easier than removing the door panels. However I was able to to the whole truck in less than an hour. If you need to watch a couple YouTube videos on door panel removal for you vehicle. Easy peasy and much cheaper than taking it in. I love 'em so far. 5Great set f speakers f r moneyThese pioneers were easy to install. Great sound quality. Midtones are clean, lows are passable, and acceptable highs. Highly recommend especially at this price range.5Believe I'm an audiophile snob. So when I started to look at replacement speakers for my truck, I was very resistant when it came to these Pioneers. At under 100 bucks for both the front doors and the rear 5x8s combined, my expectations were low.I have spent ridiculous amounts of money on audiophile speakers in the past and thought I'd give my bank account a break this time around.So impressed by the quality of sound and the sound stage of these bargain speakers. Paired with two 12'' subs these are excellent. Arguably, I would give the pioneers the nod compared to the infinity kappas they are replacing. Don't believe, hear for yourself. Cheers 5Wow, just wow! I was using the Kicker 40CS654 Coxials (100W RMS) with my stock "premium" audio system head unit (2008 Civic Si). It was louder and more clear than the stock speakers but did not produce as much bass.I bought the Pioneer TS-A1683S (50W RMS, hard to find now) and dropped it in the rear deck and it was super loud and clear. Bass was loud and punchy just like the stock speakers but with less distortion!That's when I knew I had to purchase these! 50W RMS feels perfectly matched with the factory amplifier which is also manufacturered by Pioneer. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a Honda or Acura with the "premium" audio by Pioneer. 5
