A GOOD SOLUTION IF NOTHING ELSE FITS THE BILL! Great for temporary applications or if you just don't want the telephone people festooning your house with wire stapled to every surface. Long phone cords can sometimes be the right choice when you need a phone in a location not easily serviced by a wall jack. I am working from home via computer. To work from home I also need easy desktop access to a telephone. Problem is my telephone jack is in the kitchen my internet connection is in my living room. I don't use the phone at my desk when not remote office working using my computer. This long cord works for the limited role for which it is intended. This phone cord is also great for applications where you want to roam around the house but without the pain and expense of buying an expensive mobile phone with its custom base. This long telephone line is an awesome temporary solution and it works fine for me. No audio quality drop at all. 5Still works. Works as described and has worked for several years now connecting fax to phone line which is a fifty foot run across room. 5Two weeks in and it's already broken So, I've had this cord a little more than two weeks. Sadly, it is already cutting in and out and makes crackling noise when remotely moved at the end that plugs into the phone. The last phone cord I ordered (same size, different brand) lasted me a year and a half. This one, I do not recommend. I am going to spend a little more money on a brand name cord.EDIT: It's now four weeks in and not only is the static terrible, the plug end that you insert into the phone has broken. The cord cover has pulled out of the plug, exposing wires!DO NOT RECOMMEND! Spend money for something else of higher quality. 1Works with TTY phone for the hearing impaired! My husband uses a TTY phone. We used this cord attached to our NetGear Router we purchased on Amazon. The cord was run under the house from the router in another room to Jim s TTY phone in his office. Given the length of the cord and distance we were worried about the phone working. This was an excellent choice and works perfectly. To us it is wonderful to find a product that works for anyone hearing impaired. 5This is exactly what I needed... I ... This is exactly what I needed...I work from home and needed to buy a call center landline telephone with a headset with noise reducing microphone. The phone jack is quite far from my work desk so I had to buy an additional telephone extension cord. Once plugged in, there was no static whatsoever..the calls are coming in crisp. 5Good Phone Extension Cord, Very Good Price I needed this 50 feet extension cord to connect the phone on my desk with the Comcast modem box in another corner of the living room. It works well and makes a good connection with no noticeable reduction of the signal strength, while at the same time being thin enough to be almost invisible where it goes along the bottom of my window front. Furthermore, this cable was amazingly cheap. I would buy it again and recommend it to my friends. 5Super Useful and the Clarity is Off the Hook! So I may be the last person on earth with a landline in their home but, nevertheless, I work from home and it's a must that I am on a phone line. I moved a few months back and no longer have my office space set up in a convenient manner. I often work in the living room but the cable modem/router (where my phone is also connected) is in my bedroom so it's virtually impossible to work with the computer and telephone in different parts of the apartment. Since cordless phones can be a little inconvenient with the charging factor (no doubt I will fall asleep and forget to charge, rendering the phone useless through part of my shift) I decided to get this phone wire. I didn't know how many feet I needed I just knew I needed enough to carry through the apartment comfortably. As I look at this wire I think I could have gotten away with a 50ft extension cable but nevertheless this works like a charm. Over the years I have owned other extension cables much like this and they caused static to transfer across the phone line which was able to be heard by me and my customers. This wire is super quiet and it sounds just like the wires you would get in the packaging with the phone. This cord is high quality and if you have issues like I do I highly recommend this! 5DIDN'T DO THE JOB Ran cord from one side of the room all the way to the other making sure cord was hidden to hook up to the computer tower to the modem just to find out this cord doesn't work. Now I can't return it and have a 50 foot cord. 1The Product Works Great, but... My package was folded differently than the photo. The flip over plastic was a breeze to remove. I freed the modular clips on each end and that is were my problem began. For some reason the ends were threaded through the cable coils and I didn't realize that until too late. It took me over ten minutes to untangle a cord that should have required no untangling. I wish I had been sent the product in the pictured configuration. 3This cable really paid off for me This telephone cord is a good one, and the price was right. I recently got a new all in one printer, which of course had a fax built into it. I didn't even have a house phone, I have used cellular for years. But, I wanted the advantage of being able to send and receive faxes with my new printer. If you have ever went to a library or business to fax something, you understand why, it is expensive. So, I called my cable company, and asked how much a phone line in my house would cost me. Since I already have my TV and internet with them, the price was remarkably cheap, so I hooked one up. Then, I also bought a cheap cordless p hone for the house. I now have them both hooked up and they are working great. Just the other day, I had a copy of the deed to my house faxed to me, which was about 10 pages. It sure was nice to just sit here at the house and wait for it to come across my new fax machine. 5
