    Good Not-Wimpy App!iance Cord. All It Needs Is to be Made in USA. Good heavy duty cord.For all those appliance manufacturers who make those little stupid pathetic cords because they figure people are so stupid the might hang themselves with it or use it in the bath if they make the cord longer than a few inches.I'll gve it 5 stars, or heck, 6 stars, if they ever make it in the USA. 4Works great. Fine for a small space heater. I had one reason, and one reason alone to purchase this and that was because I wanted to extend the distance of a portable space heater. Space heaters always seem to come with a warning never to plug into an extension cord, but rather directly into the wall. The problem with that is, the space heaters always seem to have pitifully short cords. When is somebody going to wake up and include at least a decent 10' cord with a space heater? I purchased this cord because it's rated for the power outage of my space heater, and because it's only 3' long-which was just long enough for my purposes. So far, no problems-everything's working fine. No overheating, no tripping circuit's etc. etc. If I have any problems I'll add on a further report. 5Great short extension cord Needed an extension cord for the outside Christmas lights. This was the shortest I could find rated for outdoors. It worked great! It got down to -30 degrees and more some nights but these never shorted out. No matter how much snow fell, the lights plugged in and unplugged easily. I was able to roll the cord into the outside covered plug area to just have the end hanging out to plug the lights into and, well, they worked exactly as intended. Happy with the purchase; will be using these again this next winter. 5A little sticky at first... Like another reviewer, I was completely unable to plug anything into the female end at first. My fix was to stick a flat-blade screwdriver into each slot (when unplugged, obviously) to separate the metal thingies that make contact with the prongs--it's like they were stuck together or misaligned with the slots or something. Since then, I haven't had any trouble plugging anything in, and it of course still makes solid contact with the prongs inside the female end and holds the plug securely. 4Works Great for a Toaster Oven I bought the 3 foot cord for a small toaster oven I have. I was worried because some people said their cord was marked 13A instead of 15A. I'm glad to say my cord was marked 15A. I've been using this for a month and so far it's great. The the prongs go into my wall socket firmly but not extremely tight. Same for the connection from my toaster oven. No complaints here. Similar cord from my local Home Depot would have cost me twice as much. 5Safe, high quality cord Tripp Lite products never fail me. I have several of their metal surge protectors that are great quality and this extension cord is just as robust. I use it on a Black & Decker toaster convection oven that came with only a 2 foot long cord. BLACK+DECKER TO3280SSD 6-Slice Digital Convection Countertop Toaster Oven, Includes Bake Pan, Broil Rack & Toasting Rack, Stainless Steel Digital Convection Toaster OvenNote: Unlike some of the early reviews of this cord, I had no problem at all inserting the oven plug into the slots. 5Doesn t Pass California Chemical Safety Standard - Misleading Product Info I ordered this cord because it claims European manufacturing standards (ROHS) which lower or eliminate lead in the sheathing. You will notice that there is no California warning in the product description. You would, then, rightly assume that, because there is no CA warning, there is no lead in the cord. However, the cord came with a tag attached to the cord with the California warning on it (see pic). There is no ROHS stamp on the cord itself (there is a UL stamp, though). The cord came in a bag which indicates ROHS, but of course, means nothing as the bag could be counterfeit or switched. Also, the model number is not printed on the cord.Either this cord counterfeit or the manufacturer is trying to mislead the buyer.POST the California chemical warning in the ad! 2There products are of GREAT quality and these are no exception I've used Tripp Lite now for a long time. I have 2 of there surge protectors in my home on two different entertainment systems. There products are of GREAT quality and these are no exception. VERY sturdy, heavy duty and rigid these cables will last and perform well. Like there surge protectors they are shielded well and make no noise what so ever. I have had problems with cheaper cables & surge protectors in the past making buzzes and hums after long use. Tripp Lite is quality. Just as good if not better than name brands like Monster Etc. IMO. 5Not correctly advertised, but still good for most applications The two I ordered are just what I needed, but other reviews correctly that point out that these are 10A cords, and not 15-5 (i.e., 15 A) cords. So, they are mis-advertised. But, for most applications (such as mine which was used to reach a light set), these cords work fine. Just don't plan to use them for a toaster or hair dryer.... 4Great For Eliminating Long Extension Cord Piles Love getting shorter extension cords for permanent connections (e.g. TV, lamp, etc). I recently discovered that less can be more with extension cords.I have some 1 foot long dongles that come in handy around crowded outlets. They really allowed access for plugging/unplugging in outlets that I use to avoid. I have 2 ft splitters for the same reason. I got some 10 foot shorties to fix wire excess around the house.PROS:Nice price.Nice black, not white are some obnoxious color.Great for permanent connection, because there isn't excess cord lying around looking messy.CONS:None that I can see.NOTE:15Ax110V = 1650 Watts max. Heaters are often 1500 watts. 5
