    Great cord! Great length! GREAT POWER! There's something unrecognized when it comes to surge protectors, and that thing is THE LENGTH OF THE CORD.Damn, when I used a 6ft (forbid a 3ft), I ran out of length to reach around my furniture, but ever since I got the 12footer, life just became that much easier.Do yourself a favor and invest in adequately long surge protectors, they'll make you very happy to have that extra 6feet. 4Good, Solid Surge Protector From Well-Known Company This surge protector does exactly what it is supposed to do. The on-off switch feels solid. The long cord is thick, and seems pretty heavy-duty. It's just a good, basic, solid surge protector, made by a good company.There are definitely cheaper, no-name brand surge protectors available, but how often do you buy these things? I figured I may as well spend a few extra dollars and go with a quality company and get a quality product.If for some reason this surge protector stops working, or some of the outlets do, (as happened with the protector this one is replacing,) I will come back and update this review, but I honestly don't believe that will happen with a Tripp Lite product.[...]. Thanks! 5A lot of protection (High 1080 Joules) I bought this for the price per protection that you get at 1080 Joules which is important to protect delicate Electronics from damage. Also that it has a good power switch and indicator light (Neon Red). A LED Green indicator light says it is protected against surges. No child proof outlet covers though so kids be careful! A 12 foot cable was important to me as an extension cord and a protected outlet strip in one so you are really better off buying this if you want a longer cord. Highly recommend! 5Perfect powerstrip for the office The length of the cord marks the best feature of this surge protector. While it doesn't rotate like some other products out there that costs 3 times as much for the same number of outlets, the length makes it more accessible and makes up for it.Being in Las Vegas, we get a lot of dry lighting storms and connecting electronics to a wall outlet is a countdown to the next Best Buy visit.The black color makes it lay flush and doesn't stand out like the white ones. Especially since surge protectors are rarely moved, I think the dark will camouflage the dust and any scratches nicely. 5I bought this for two reasons #1 Tripp Lite is a excellent and well respected brand. #2 the last one I had was a no name brand that shorted out in a electrical storm and burned out all the equipment on a 55 gallon fish tank. while across the room on the same wall the Tripp Lite had no issues and every thing connected is fine.So I purchased this one, to replace it along with all the equipment in the tank. I am expecting no issues but if there is I will be back to update. 4Quality is questionable I had one of these that would not work out the box. Brand new, it would not pass power to any equipment I plugged in. Luckily, I was able to return this for a replacement, which works as expected. We have purchased nearly 100 of these over the last few years with no failures and no need to claim the warranty. Seldom any issues plugging or unplugging items. It is snug but not impossible to insert or remove most power cords we encounter. 5
