Works great but has some potentially ignorable flaws. The ability to rotate the plugs is very convenient. A few things that stood out though is there's internal receptacles that the outer plugs need to align with. Basically, you can't plug something in and then rotate it 180 degrees. There are I think 4 different angles you can rotate the outer plugs and then plug something into them. Not really an issue but just something to keep in mind. Additionally, the on/off toggle switch just BARELY stays in the off position. It's potentially dangerous if you switch it off than mess with something as it could flip back to the on position literally by blowing on it. Fortunately an easy solution is to just unplug the power strip from the outlet but it could lead to trouble if someone has to plug it into an outlet that isn't easy to reach. 4Reddit brought me hereEveryone said this one did the job, and the material looks like its high quality.5It's fine, I think.It's hard to get all excited by a surge protector strip but I guess this one does its job. To be fair, I'm not aware of any power surges in the past few days, but, facts aside, I'm happy. I needed a long cord...it had one...and that's it. Tripp Lite has the best warranty I have found so far for their product. I have never had to use it but my friend did he simply called and they replaced his surge protector and asked if any products were damaged as they will replace them also his luckily were not but you cannot beat that warranty. If you have ever tried to deal with Belkin you will know what im talking about as their warranty is horrid.Anyway this product is great i personally love Tripp lite products its all I use and would recommend everyone else do the same. 5The right sizeI was looking for a smaller power strip and one with the space for an oversize plug. This surge protector was perfect.4Works perfectlyWorks perfectly4Good Surge Protector for A/V Equipment and Weird Sized Plugs This is a fairly basic surge protector from Tripp Lite. Tripp Lite makes sturdy surge protectors, and I own other products by them without the rotating plugs or USB charging capability. The rotating plugs are stiff enough to stay in the position where you've left them, and work well for spacing out huge wall plugs that would normally cover up two plugs. The USB charging seems to work fine. I use it to power the external hard drive for my Wii U game console.The only reason I'm not completely happy is that I wish the plug at the end was the kind that sits flush against the wall. I had to buy a separate converter extender cable to turn it into a flush mounted plug, because the stiff cable stood out several inches and wouldn't let me push my tv stand up against the wall without it. I hope this is an option on a future version of this product. 4Surge Protectors Here's the thing about surge protectors, most who use them never need them and have no idea what they're purchasing. I'm a tech and also own two audio businesses and have seen the need for surge protection many times. Most common would be lightning strikes nearby and I've seen 5 blow at one time and then you throw them out. Nobody can tell you anything about a surge protector until it's fried and your equipment isn't. If you want multiple outlets you'll find this same device at half the price with a circuit breaker but that may not trip fast enough to save your sensitive equipment.Almost every device you plug in already has some protection but there's a problem with that. If you blow that protection it's off to be repaired with a $3 part and a $90 bill, with this you spend $8 and never miss a beat. For just surge protection inexpensive is fine, Tripp Lite builds much more sophisticated equipment so I trust that they got this right. 4Good amount of protection, ON/OFF switch, Indicator light & a short power cord I purchased the Tripp Lite TLP604 Surge Protector for my microwave. I wanted protection for at least 600 joules, the ability to turn off power with the flip of a switch, and a light indicating that the surge protector was still providing protection. Lastly, I wanted a short cord. I actually preferred a wall-mount without a cord, but could not find one that satisfied my other requirements as well. This Tripp LIte surge protector satisfied 3.5 requirements.I plugged it into the wall, and the Protected indicator was on. I plugged the microwave into the surge protector, and it works. The rocker ON/OFF switch works.So far, all seems good. Satisfied with my purchase. Would rate it more like 4.5 stars for my needs, but otherwise is just what I wanted.PROS:- Indicator light- Rocker power switch- Short cord- Over 600 joules of protection- Reasonably pricedCONS:- Wanted a wall-mount, but not a deal breaker- 5Light it up!Works great. It serves its purpose.5Switch Very Touchy - Bad for computers The switch is very touchy. Even the slightest pressure and the power is interrupted. It may be a brief interruption but I chose this strip because it had a power cord of the right length to fit in with my computer stuff. Unless you set it where it could not possibly be touched by another cord or something, you should make a cover.So, brief interruptions of power. To a computer. . . Not good. I had to make a cover. Mine is a bit fancy but some scraps and some duct tape could get you there. Just consider some shop time and a roll of duct tape as part of the price of this power strip.Unfortunately, the Bel kin units with the recessed switches did not have the right length cord. 3Bright White Surge Protector Great surge protector! I got this for my bedroom, behind the bed - because the walls are white and it doesn't show as much as a black one would. I purchased one with a 4' cord and one with a 6' cord. Both are exactly the same, except the length of the cord. The one with the 6' cord is located below. Both are great.Tripp Lite 6 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip 6ft Cord 790 Joules LED & $20K INSURANCE (TLP606)It is a quality product that is holding up with light use. I purchased this model specifically to hold the adapter for my alarm clock. It's one of those with the huge transformer at the plug and the end socket was perfect. My only problem is, I added yet another huge transformer and can only use 3 plugs total now. I need to get one of those table top USB charging units, as I do not have enough plugs for all my chargers. However, that is not the fault of this power strip - I only mention it, because you can get certain models that have the plugs facing outward and are spaced farther apart.All in all, it's a great product that is bright white - perfect for my needs. I got one for my daughter's bedroom as well and I'm very happy with both. I also purchased 2 of the black with 4' cord for my home office - working as expected. Tripp Lite is my go to product for Surge Protection! 5This is great for my AptThis is great for my Apt. Its old and the out lets are far and few, so I love useing this 15 fr cord for a lot of my things. The 7 ft one is also just as good, but shorter.5Very nice versatile power strip This is a cool power strip. I love that I can rotate the outlets to easily accommodate any power brick and not block other outlets. The USB charger is also a sweet convenience. The one thing I'd change about the item if possible, is the power switch, it seems that it could too easily be switched off by accident. To me, it would be a better design to have it more recessed or have some flip up cover over it or some such. I gave it 5 stars despite this. I love this strip. I carry it in my laptop case with all my other gadgets. It's not small, you need a decent sized laptop case/backpack to carry it, I have an Eagle Creek Convertabrief and it fits fine in the middle section. 5Good long-cord power stripHas a super long cord and I like that the strip is vertical (so you can plug in weird-shaped chargers and not have them take up extra plug-ins). Pretty basic model, seems to be working fine5Good surge protection at a fair price We recently experienced alternating power surges and sags due to a failed utility line to our home. We lost several appliances and other items due to the voltage issues. Thankfully, the utility covered most of our $4000 loss since it was their equipment that caused the issue. However, our computer and HDTV equipment was protected by surge suppressors which "gave up their lives" to the surges, but protected the electronic items as you would hope! I bought several replacement protectors including this Tripp Lite unit which is performing silently in the background until its needed again (never I hope). If your equipment is not protected, BEWARE! 5Need a surge protector strip longer than 6 feet?The Good:- 15 foot length can easily run along an entire wall in my office- 6 plugs with one of the sockets having the ability to attach a large ac adapter on the bottom- Lighted on/off switch with green light indicating surge protectedThe Bad:- NoneThe Bottom Line:I needed a power strip that was longer than the standard 6 feet since my plug is pretty far away in my office. This Tripp Lite 6 outlet has been great since the 15 feet easily reaches my desk. It has sufficient plugs (6 in total) with one being on the end for large adapters. Overall, I would highly recommend if you need a longer power strip!5
