    Good solid SSD drive Good solid SSD drive. Not rated the best of the best (read/write speeds are not the fastest) but gets the job done and the average person will see considerable PC or laptop boot up speed improvement. Programs will load up and run faster. For ninety five dollars, this was a no-brainer. Note well that it does not come with cloning software but you can find a number of free programs with a google search. Hope it lasts 5Took about one heartbeat to install and transfer data Work very well right out of the box. I used their transfer software from their on-line site. In fact since I didn't have an extra SATA cables for power and data I used those from my DVD drive. Once I transferred the Hard drive to the Transcend I replaced the DVD cables and used those from the old Hard Drive. For a time I simply tied the Transcend using cable ties to other cables and ordered the mounting kit. I was then able to mount my old drive and the Transcend. What made it even nicer was I bought the drive on a one day sale for $86.00. What a deal. Am I sorry about anything? I'm already running out of room. It won't be long before I'll be buying a terabyte drive. 4Great bang for the buck! Transcend has been in the SSD game since it started! I work as a computer repair/upgrade tech from home and I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and speed of Transcend SSD drives.In the past 18 months I have replaced 5 or 6 old laptop and desktop hard drives with these SSD drives.Their reliability rating rivals Samsung for a fraction of the price. Speed tests usually show 550MBps read and 400+MBps write. Most laptop drives have a hard time pushing anything over 100MBps read and write.This helps for fast boot times and quicker launching programs. I have replaced these drives on everything from a low-end AMD E3 processor to an Intel Core i7. Obviously the better the processor the quicker the system.I have had zero problems or failures of these drives to date.I highly recommend this product! 5The working life of my workstation has just doubled! Bought this drive on sale through Amazon, great deal. It went into an older but still very usable Gateway Core i7 desktop, 8GB RAM that is used for CS4 programs, mostly Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Cloned 290GB of system drive and data from a 1TB 7200 RPM Barracuda using the free version of EaseUs. Boot time dropped from 3 - 5 minutes to about 30 seconds, and program opening times are slashed. This computer is almost 5 years old and barring any major failures may well be usable for another 5. It's a better workstation than it was when it was new. Photoshop editing is quicker than any hardware I've ever worked on. I have yet to render video, but expect those times to be a third or less than in the past. I'm very pleased, this is my best computer technology purchase in years. 5Great performance, seems reliable, avoid using bundled software for imaging The physical installation was easy as are most SSDs.I used this to replace an old 120gb intel ssd as my main drive for Windows. The SSD Scope software included from transcend failed to image my old drive correctly and I had to manually install windows and all of my software. After that, everything worked perfectly.Performance is excellent for the price point of this drive (got it for $70ish for 480gb version on black Friday).So far been using for 6 months with zero issues, no studders, lockups and very fast load times for games like Forza Horizon 3, Witcher 3 and others.Very happy with purchase! Avoid relying on SSD scope to image your old drive! 5Transcend has a winner here! I'm using this as a storage drive in my new PC build. I got it for about $30 off on a Black Friday deal. What a bargain! This thing is fast right out of the box. I'm getting up to 559 MB/s using Crystal DiskMark5. That's right there with an 850 Evo for about half the price. Very happy. I can't testify to the reliability yet. I've only had it installed for a week. Also greta upgrade for older laptops and PCs. helps get another year or two of good use out of them!! 5I do a lot of hdd to sdd migrations for work so I'm familiar with the software that is provided and transcends program is worse This SSD is fast and after running tests it matches samsung drives that are way more expensive. I did have a lot of problems with their software though. This unit rehabilitated an old pc that my wife and I use for video streaming in our bedroom. For this price, replacing the old mechanical hard drive was a no-brainer, and we now enjoy snappy and noise-free browsing/streaming from bed. With the mechanical drive, booting took several minutes with laggy actions once in windows for several more minutes. Videos were also somewhat slow to load. That's all gone with this SSD in place. 5Made my computer faster than ever! WOW!!!! This SSD brought my laptop back to life! I was looking at new computers because my Dell was too slow! It took 2 minutes and 18 seconds for it to boot up and allow me to get online. After installing the SSD, it only takes 29 seconds now This SSD is a GREAT investment and it speeds up everything on the computer. Photoshop used to take 27 seconds to load. Now it only takes 4. Super easy to install and Transcend's SSD Scope utility copied my old HD to the SSD. 5
