    Impressed! A friend I used to work with many years ago had a ratchet designed like this, I think it was a SK brand tool. I always wanted one (tool envy?) but most of my tools came from Craftsman and Snap-On and I never saw one in either of their catalogs. I saw these and bought both a 3/8" and 1/4" version and am pleasantly surprised. I have used the 3/8" one a lot and intentionally very hard and it is very versatile and tough, hasn't missed a beat. The design is amazing and I don't know why some major manufacturers haven't implemented this design. I do wish it were a little longer, it seems plenty strong enough to handle more torque. I suppose the one drawback might be the thickness of the head but I don't have a problem with it. Maybe time will tell but so far very impressed. 5Very Useful Ratchet I am an industrial mechanic and have been using these swivel ratchets for for about six months now. I can t tell you how useful the swivel head is. Until you experience it yourself, you won t fully appreciate it. There are so many situations where the handle of a normal ratchet just gets in the way. This thing just works!Before I bought this, I thought that the strength and durability would be compromised from the design. I have put it through the test and it has definitely passed. Other swivel head designs have the swivel off center from the ratchet head, which make them clumsy to use. This design with the swivel in line with the ratchet, make using it a breeze.I am definitely a Tekton fan now. 5Great ratchet, just not what I was looking for It s a nice ratchet, not really what I was expecting, the flex isn t exactly what I need, don t get me wrong it s a great ratchet and gets the job done. I should have examined the pictures better. It is a great quality ratchet! I just needed a flex head where it flexes down a little further into the handle. If you are a mold setter like me this will not work for changing nozzles like I had hoped. Other than that no complaints. 5Strong tight pivot, lightweight, yet solid This, along with my inflatable shims, is the most useful tool in my toolbox. Gets me to those hard-to-reach appliance screws with ease. Helps me save money by making most appliance repair jobs a cinch. Well-made adjustable and versatile tools like this help make me more productive and confident in doing small jobs around the house rather than calling a professional service for convenience.This tool feels solid in your hands with a textured rubber grip. It's not too heavy to hold for extended periods of time. And the angling head still delivers powerful turns with no wobbling. Pivoting action is tight and not excessively loose. And it cleans easily so I don't have a buildup of crud. I highly recommend this. 5Not a Gimmick tool I would rate this as a 4.5 if I could. I bought the 3 piece set as I constantly use all three sizes. The swivel feature is amazingly useful! I've become a TEKTON fan. Once you try these, you won't even touch your normal ratchets.Pros;- Swivel heads let you get in harder to reach places- You can swivel straight up to make the ratchet act as a screw driver!- Feels sturdy even with the swivel- Grip is niceCons:- My 3/8 drive stopped was free spinning as if it was broken (while I was ratcheting something with little torque), but I started playing around and it started working again. The ratchet is 100% functional, but this moment made me start questioning the durability of TEKTON tools 5Broke, but good customer service The ratchet broke on me about 2 months after owning. I am not a professional mechanic however I do a lot of auto work. I contacted Tekton directly and they sent me a replacement within hours of contacting them. Customer service was great. I actually really like this wrench, I hope the new one will last. Im hoping I just got a bad one. 4Once you break a nut/bolt loose you can use it like a screw driver Appears to be well made and the ratcheting is smooth. No slop in the mechanism. I would buy again. I think it's a very handy tool. Once you break a nut/bolt loose you can use it like a screw driver, and it affords knuckle clearance . 5Best ratchet for the money I lost my old reliable snap on 1/4 drive flex head ratchet and needed one quick I got this one and I'll tell you the quality is better than tools costing ten times as much I use it every day doing tons of airbag recalls I'm ordering another one in case this one gets "borrowed "again 5MUST HAVE!!! Should have bought this sooner!!! These ratchets are amazing. I don t know why I didn t buy this sooner. It has just enough tension on the rotating head to keep the angle before you get to your source. The 72 tooth design allows for an extremely low ratcheting degree. It s a little longer than your standard ratchet, so more torque! I was taking off o2 sensors with these things. I couldn t be happier with this purchase. Tekton makes it hard to purchase any other tool brand!!! 5Great set of ratchets This is a great set of ratchets for anyone looking for a cheap lifetime warranty tool. Of course with cheap tools usually come some cons, this one is that it is top heavy. All three ratchets are top heavy and not well balanced. The handle is much lighter than the head making it feel like you're holding a hammer. The 1/2 inch is the one you notice the biggest difference while the 1/4 is hardly noticeable. If you look passed the unbalance this is a great affordable tool with a lifetime warranty. The 72tooth/ 5 degree of arc you have to make for it to click is great on the more tight corners. The tool feels reliable in your hand and will get the job done, very nice design and construction.... except for the balance... 4
