Customer Reviews

CHEAP SCREWS! The mount works fine but the screws they give you to mount the unit to the wall are TERRIBLE! They are so cheap and were stripped almost immediately. After the first one stripped I figured I was just using too small of a Philips head. I switched to the biggest one I had and before i knew it, all 3 were stripped and i had to use a pliers to get them out.If you plan on mounting the unit with the provided wall anchor, you should be fine but I would not feel comfortable mounting a TV using wall anchors! If you try to use the provided screws to mount in a stud, good luck! Save yourself time and just use 2 - 2.5 inch wood screws! 2Great price, great hanger. Nice slim fit TV hanger. Came ready to install, with multitude of screws (neatly organized and separated into sealed bags) for any TV/wall. There was only one small issue while hanging - there is a place to put a screw that holds both the TV piece and wall piece together, but once the TV is on the wall you need a very long screwdriver to get behind the TV and screw in the screw. Other than that, everything was really easy and its holding my 32" TV perfectly fine. 5A couple critiques I'm really pleased with this TV mount. I've had it up for 4 months now. It's just two low profile pieces. The piece that gets attached to the wall is pretty small (roughly the width and height of a deck of cards). The piece that you attach to the TV is much bigger and what you see in the item description picture. The TV I have mounted with this is a 32" that's 1.5" deep and weighs 15.4 lbs.I have a few critiques for anyone looking to purchase it:Pros- Easy install. The clasp has a few degrees of rotational play in it so if you don't have the wall mount perfectly alligned, you can still rotate the TV a few degrees in either direction (don't worry, it doesn't rotate freely and requires a few pounds of pressure against the corner of the TV to move).- It has a "V/wedge" shaped clasp that makes taking down and putting up the TV really simple. If I need to add a cable to the back of the TV, I just lift the TV up a couple inches and it's off. Putting the TV back up on the wall is easy because the wedge shape of the bracket doesn't require you to have it aligned perfectly when setting it in.- Don't have any worries that my TV will fall down using this mount (I have a mech eng degree for what it's worth).Cons- That "V/wedge" clasp has a little play in it so my TV won't lay perfectly vertical and tilts down about a couple degrees. Trust me, it's nothing noticeable even if you're watching straight on at eye level which I am.- The construction is pretty sturdy but I noticed that the mount that attaches to the TV has bowed out about 1/8" from the center. It's not a big deal but considering this mount is only a 1/2" deep, it's significant percentage more. I was really trying to keep my TV as low profile as possible since it's in a high traffic area. 4It does the job. I bought this for mounting my 32 inch television. The way this is made, however, doesn't really make it user-friendly. The bracket that goes on the wall only really has room for two screws to hold it in. It's steady, but I wish there were more room to allow for more safety. The biggest problem, however, is the design of the tilt. Firstly, there are screws you need to get to on either side of the mount for adjustments. This isn't as big of a problem if your room is empty, bu this is a big problem if you're mounting it in a room that already has furniture in it. Secondly, our television has ports coming out of the back (HDMI), and this mount is so flush with the wall that we have to keep the TV tilted at a certain angle just to have the room for the cord to be plugged in (thereby negating the tilt option, which was the main reason I got it).Maybe it would be better for a smaller television, maybe it would be better with a different style. Like I said, it does the job - my TV is mounted, and looks great. However, knowing what I know about the design problems, I would not buy this again., and couldn't really recommend it. 3Good, basic mount with a couple issues I purchased this to mount my older 30" flat screen on the wall, and the mount worked and seems sturdy enough. The tilt function is somewhat difficult to adjust, and once set, really cannot be changed without the included tool to loosen and then tighten the bolts that are behind the TV near the center of the mount. Also, the washers that came with mine were too small to use the wood screws that came with the kit. All other hardware came with the kit, which was good. Screws for mounting the bracket to the TV, wood/masonry screws, and drywall screws and anchors were all included. A long Allen wrench with a long extension are also included to install and tighten the screws used to adjust the tilt of the mount. The decent instructions recommend two people to set this up. I would probably use this mount again, knowing two things: 1) I might need to buy additional washers and 2) know that once the tilt is set, I won't be changing it without a little work. 3Good for the money, watch the TV weight.... For the money its pretty good. It was very easy to put up and seems pretty secure. The only issue is when extended the weight of the TV causes the second arm to hang out of level and so the TV hangs out of level by about 1/2inch, low on the right. It's OK for me, it just hanging an old TV in the garage work out space but if it was for your family room TV it would be an issue.I will also note that this is for an old 30" TV that is probably close the 44lb weight limit, if it was a modern flat screen they weigh much less and so then it may not be an issue. 4No Complaints. A Solid Product. I'm really pleased with this wall mount. It installed really easy and has a great range on the wall. We purchased two of these, and both seem really sturdy so far as we have had them up for about two weeks now. They have ready been through a really bad storm that literally shook our house, and gave us no issues during that time. They also come with a small gripper for the cords in case you aren't doing anything to hide them behind the wall or with a strip. So far I can say no complaints. 5Fix for anyone having issues of TV looking crooked when pulling arm out I like this mount but as others have mentioned, it does have a flaw. When you pull the arm out, the TV looks like it's crooked. Other people have said they just don't pull it out because of that; which made me think, then what is the point of even having it? I did find a way to fix the issue. All I did was pull the arm out (with the TV already mounted on the arm), loosened the bottom of part you mount directly to the wall & put a shim under it, then tightened the mount against the shim. The shim just needs to be thick enough to make the TV level (I used half of a wooden clothes pin). Problem solved. My TV is straight & looks cool mounted close to the ceiling at the foot of my bed. 4Works For My Needs! Even though the provided screw anchors they provided with this thing were pieces of crap, I still give it 5 stars because it still basically does what it's meant to do. The anchors were just a small problem, heck if you can make sure you hit a Stud you won't even need those. which is another good thing about the way this one is set up. It's Vertically mounted with just 2 screws, instead of being wide spread with 4. So, if you hit the stud with the top screw, you should definitely hit the stud with the bottom ;) See pics of my 24 In HD TV mounted and hanging just fine. 5Short bolts and no cigar. Mount was ok quality-wise. The bolts to attach the TV weren't long enough for my TV (in fact I'm not too sure how well they would work on most TV's for that matter), and I couldn't actually use this in my RV which is what I bought it for. The framed in space in my RV doesn't have enough height to slide the bracket over the receiver part and still fit in the frame. So back to the drawing board. Otherwise, I think it would work for anyone trying to basically 'flush mount' a TV to a flat wall. 3
