Customer Reviews

both of which are things I like. The installation instructions were straight-forward This review is for the Suptek Articulating Arm TV LCD Monitor wall Mount.Packaging was simple and the box it arrived in was small, both of which are things I like. The installation instructions were straight-forward. Mounting the monitor arm to the wall went great. The arm/hinges are stiff, yet movable. I had some issues with mounting the VESA adapter to the monitor. The provide screws were about half a cm too long and there were no spaces or enough washers to make the screws snug to the adapter. This could be due to the monitor being a cheaper korean panel (qnix 27, 1440p). No star deductions for that as including all the different screws and dozens of washers wouldn't help most people with compatibility. I should have checked the monitor before installing.Attaching the VESA adapter to the monitor was easy, however, the vertically mounted monitor refused to stay put. It will lean to one side at about a 10 degree angle. I tightened the bolt on the VESA adapter, but it had no impact. This could be due to the monitor being unequally weighted and i feel that a horizontally mounted monitor wouldn't have this issue, regardless, i'm taking a star off as i had to rig up some zip ties to hold it vertical. I also saw no mention or mechanism to change the tilt as the product mentions 20 degrees of tilt. I couldn't find out how. one star for that.Overall, you get what you pay for. This is an incredible price for a monitor mount, however, it does have some issues to overcome. 4Set up went smoothly. 2 people needed to lift tv I bought 3 of these one for a 43,a 49 flat screen and one for a 55 inch curve samsung.. the 55 inch curve is mounted with no problem and is a fairly heavy tv.. very satisfied with product.. the other 2 are for the other 2 tv's that in taking to my place at a campground this summer.. I would buy them again.. 5Easy install and exactly what I wantedThis TV mount was perfect for my needs. I was able to install it and mount the 39" television by myself and I'm in my mid-60s and weigh 125 lbs. If the TV was any larger, I probably would have needed help to attach the TV mount to the wall mount. The only problems I had were with my stud finder which kept changing where the 2x4 in the wall was and finding the 10mm wrench needed to tighten the self-tapping screws that hold the mount to the wall. All of the supplied screws, etc. were labeled and easily found. The only part I wouldn't trust is the small level that is included. I used it with the supplied cardboard guide, and it just didn't look right. I aligned it by eye, and then got my 4' level to check it. The 4' level confirmed my eye was better than the supplied level. This was a very simple install, and I saved almost $100 by doing it myself.5Great Versatile TV MountI mounted this last night with a 39" Insignia TV that is less than 1 year old. I used the 200x200 mounting points without needing the adapters. Everything mounted very secure. I placed 1 of my own washers between the bracket and the TV so that the top bolt would not press into the TV too hard. It worked great.I had previously used a single arm mount that would cause the TV to tip side to side depending on how the TV was positioned. This double arm system is way better and stays almost perfectly level across all positions of movement. When mounting this, I was pleasantly surprised to find the anchors for use in concrete or drywall (I would not mount the TV in drywall only). My particular mounting location had an extra stud between my 16" on center stud spacing which allowed me to use the outer most holes which just perfectly span 8". Centering the TV mount on a single stud should provide a solid mount as well though. Plus there are additional holes up and down the middle of mount if your TV is toward the large size of the rated range. The mount is very stiff to move, but we don't move it much. Once it is set in place, it does not move easily, which is nice. The last very nice aspect is the clips on the mount arms to allow for cable management along with velcro strips and HDMI cable. This really allows for a clean setup with very good stability.5SturdyI bought this product to mount a small speaker on my wall that I could adjust after mounting. I haven't actually installed it yet but it appears to be very sturdy and well built - especially for the price. For my purposes it could have extended a little further from the wall but I can't deduct any points since I didn't read the measurements before ordering and I have figured out a work around solution. Like I said I haven't actually used this yet but I think it will be great for my needs and appears well built.5Easy installation and great price! Easy to install but the instructions could use more detail. Even with the caucus pictures and extra parts leftover, this product was installed within 30 mins and articulates perfectly. Fits our 22" monitor screen and we were able to mount it near our kitchen. 4Wow!I bought a 24" LED TV from Best Buy. I have no beefs with Best Buy, but they only have $79 and $99 mounts for that TV. I tried a white mount for about $40 from Amazon, but the VESA (?) plate covered the HDMI port, so I returned it. This Suptek mount seemed to have the least intrusive VESA plate, but at only $10.99, I questioned the quality. I ordered it anyway and it is PERFECT. Easy to install, adjusts in all directions, and is beefy enough for my TV and then some. They are giving this away, folks. Picture isn't the best, but you get the idea.5Exceeded expectationThis wall mount product is more than study enough to handle our 60" TV. The weight is rated at 100lbs ours is 50. It fit all the connections on the TV perfectly. This was what we expected, but we were very impressed with was how each of the screw types were packed separately along a strip of plastic so you could see exactly what you had and a couple of small levels were actually included for accurate installation. Our studs were not in the right place so we had to mount a cross brace connection between two studs and mounted it on the wall. Very satisfactory.5Nice, small and they look great!First, you have to be handy to set them up. They look great, very small but sturdy, not bulky at all, I got 3 of them and don't regret it. They do swivel (a litte) horizontally AND vertically and it's enough for me. The only annoying thing is the nut behind it for the swivel part, you may have to take the monitor off it to tighten it, other than that they're great. Great price, around $12, can't go wrong. If they fall off the wall that's an installation error not the product.5Haven't had a chance to install yet, but here's my first impressions :) (updated after install)Haven't had a chance to install it yet due to moving around surge protectors. The quality though is very solid, the cable management Velcro is a bonus.Once I mount my monitor I'll leave a better feedback response, oh and the instructions are very straight forward and all screws are nicely separated.EDIT 4/30/17finally installed the mount, went on like a breeze. looks fantastic, very sturdy.epic cable management, only issue i have is the plastic pins on the cable management plug is a tad flimsy but still holds up the HDMI wonderfully. also the knock off velcro strips work wonders for keeping extra cables under check, oh and i wish the vesa part that connected to the monitor swiveled up/down a little (10-15 degrees) but not that big of a deal, just upped the font5Great!This is a really good bracket. It tilts and swivels. The hardware that comes with it is really durable. It has everything you need to do the install. A few things, though. If you plan to rotate the monitor, be sure to measure the diagonal distance from the center to one of the corners of your monitor and add 1/8" for sag. Likewise, if you plan on upgrading the monitor to a larger size, you will have to reposition the bracket on the wall. It cannot move up and down, which would have been a nice feature. Make sure the cross plate fits flush on your monitor; I had to bench grind down some material near the screw holes to fit my 5+ year old off-brand monitor to make it fit perfectly, but this is surely not going to be an issue for modern monitors. Last, you should pre-play with, then tighten the center bolt 1/2 turn prior to installation, to make sure it's plenty stiff to resist "gravity assisted auto rotation," my words for it. I got it all on, then the monitor spun like a pinwheel in the wind, so I had to take it all off, tighten, then put it all back on.Anyway, I wish I had mounted my monitor years ago with this. It's really sturdy, and now my workplace is da bomb.5... to install in my bathroom & I am very happy with the results Bought this for a 23" TV I wanted to install in my bathroom & I am very happy with the results!! I gave 4 stars because the mounting hardware it comes with is crap! Do NOT waste your time even trying to use it. I knew I needed to use drywall anchors (not on a stud) but the ones provided are total junk....the bolts/screws provided are to small for the drywall anchors provided....they just spin once installed & would have pulled out of the wall. Do yourself a favor & just go buy some quality anchors & bolts/screws at Lowe's or Home Depot for the weight you need. My TV is smaller & light weight & this is what worked for me. Spend a few extra dollars & minutes to do it right. I used my drill, 10mm drill bit & small hammer to tap in the drywall anchors before screwing in the bolt/screws. I still need to hide the wires but I just finished & you get the idea. Worth the $12 for sure!!! Oh & it DOES tilt if you loose the rotating bracket on the back. I'm a blonde & a girl.....this wasn't hard at all!!! 4Will always buy these for my smaller monitors, Great and Cheap.Great and Cheap usually don't go in the same sentence when describing wall mounts but I have numerous smaller displays that I need to mount to my walls, these are great at the price point and have 2 way arms and a pivot ball. I have purchased 5 so far and use them for monitors up to 27" without much issue. I can rotate my monitors fairly easily and they stay in position. With heavier monitors they do tend to sag a little when pulled out but I haven't noticed any issues with that and frankly, even the more expensive ones in this size tend to sag a little at full extension. Overall I would highly recommend these mounts for anyone who needs them. Cheap, Prime shipping, and completely adequate for the majority of monitor sizes.Only one caveat: Use hex head Lag bolts that are the proper length for your wall studs and mount this directly on a stud or use large toggle bolts on a sheer wall, DO NOT mount this to drywall only. Even if you use drywall anchors. I would never let anyone wall mount any display or TV to a wall without having it lag bolted to a sturdy structural component like a stud or sheer wall. And even then, with a sheer wall you should use a decent size toggle bolt.5Great mount at a great price Got this mount yesterday and had my 32" TV installed within 15 minutes. It comes assembled and the operation of the arm is smooth and sturdy. Once it was installed I tested it by pulling down pretty hard and it felt solid. The instructions aren't much to speak of but its pretty straight forward. Mount the screws into a stud and attach the TV. I did it by myself but a 2nd person could have made it a little easier. The plate that is attached can accommodate TV screw spacing of up to 200x200 and the kit comes with arms that can be attached that will accofare up to 400x400 for larger TV's. (Most TV specs will list the spacing) My 32" was 200x100 so there was no need for the extended arms. There are finger adjustable screws to tweak the TV position once it's mounted which is convenient. Not sure about the other review that says it fell off the wall. I have to assume it was mounted to the wall incorrectly and not in a stud. The kit comes with drywall anchors but I'd assume most people understand that's not going to cut it. Not sure why they would even provide them. The cheapest mount I saw at the local box store was $40. This was under $17 and delivered to my door in 2 days. Great mount and a great price. Thanks Amazon. 5Lightweight yet sturdy wall mount. Perfect for my RVThis was just what I needed for my RV TV install. This came with the hardware necessary to drive this into the wall stud of my RV and is holding up my 19" TV with no issues at all. The small wire management clips beneath the bottom bar don't hold in place quite as well as I had hoped but that is mainly because I am running a coax cable in addition to the regular power cable. I plan to put a couple of cable wraps Case Logic CT-6 Self Attaching Cable Ties (Assorted Colors) to hold the cables tightly in place. The square steel tubing arms provide substantial strength and I even plan to drill a slot through the top bar and outer arm bar so I can drop a retaining pin in place in order to "lock" the TV in place when traveling. There is nothing about adding these holes that would concern me as far as loss of strength due to the already light but strong construction of the square tubing. With an older, heavier TV that is closer to the weight limit of this arm, your mileage may vary. Finally, although it did not mention in the instructions to do so, I decided to drill a tiny 3/32" pilot hole before driving the provided lag bolts into the trailer's outer stud due to the smaller size vs. an ordinary residential stud. I thought this would help prevent splitting or cracking and had no issues. I also checked to make sure the lag bolts were not too long that they would not poke out the outside of the RV. You will want to check this if you plan the same and add extra washers to the bolt to shorten the amount of bolt that goes into the wall. The kit also includes concrete lag shields but I had no use for them in my application. The only extra thing that might be useful if you're installing this yourself would be to get a magnetic torpedo level Stanley 43-511 Magnetic Shock Resistant Torpedo Level. This is especially useful if you're installing this in an RV like me since you can toss the magnetic level in your RV's tool box to give you another level to make sure your rig is level when you get to your campsite. Just be sure your RV or camper is already level before expecting a good reading from this wall mount. The bottom bolt hole is flared wider than the top to allow you to adjust the level and tighten it in place once located. We've used this mount a couple of times already and are expecting it to outlast the TV we installed on it. I definitely recommend this product.5Holy crap, it's amazing how many people cannot read simple ... Holy crap, it's amazing how many people cannot read simple instructions. It comes with big self tapping bolts and brick anchors, it tells you clearly to use a 4mm drill bit if mounting to a stud, and a 10mm masonry bit for brick mounting. So many 1 star reviews complaining that it came off the wall, and they clearly installed it in drywall. You don't mount a monitor to drywall! For $11, this product is wonderful. Mine came with an uneventful mount too, but sure enough it just leveled when I tightened it to the stud, not a defective unit at all. That said, I'm taking two stars off for false advertising, because the picture clearly says 120 tilt up and down, but it does not tilt at all. 3
