Customer Reviews

Works fine. The remote shutter works just fine. I've had no problems with it. It secures nicely into the camera and there was no trembling. I use it on my Canon Rebel EOS T3. 4Works on a Canon EOS Rebel XTi I use a shutter release exclusively while photographing products for my web site so it gets a helluva workout. My OEM shutter release was acting up and only infrequently triggered the shutter. Once I figured out the remote was most likely the problem I looked into a new one. The price on this one was good and it said it I would fit my older model Canon EOS Rebel XTi.This remote has the features I was looking for: half-press for focus, full-press for shutter trigger, shutter-open lock, and a long 3-foot cord.So far so good and works every time! For a small price I paid this little gadget got rid of a lot of frustration! 5Far out It does everything I need it to do. It is simple to use. No doubt a Fair purchase. Ive been working on my Star photography, and this product made it a lot easier. 5Sticky button. Need to get used to. It s a little hard to use during a shoot only because the button is sticky so it s hard to focus then capture quickly. I only rated the low light med cause I don t entirely know what it means by that. But it s super simple to set up; just plug it in I would recommend to get an extension though, cord is short. 3It worked every time. I used this shutter release with my Canon T3 1100D while taking group shots for yearbook. With the camera mounted on a tripod, and me standing off to the side to direct the group, this shutter release button was perfect for getting steady shots every time I pushed the button.Pressing the button in halfway would allow the camera to auto focus, and then pushing it in would snap the photo. I'm pretty sure there's no "halfway" position while pressing in, but if you've got a pretty steady hand it's no problem to hold the button in.The cord isn't very long (6ft or so), so don't expect to go all "Wizard of Oz" twenty feet away behind a curtain. In all, this was a great and cheap piece of equipment for a growing yearbook staff where kids break things all the time. 5Happy user I bought this product to minimize camera shake with my Canon T2i (550D) when taking long exposure shots at night. This product does the job perfectly. First of all the cable is long enough so you can work comfortably, and secondly its pretty simple to use even in bulb mode. Its also great when shooting video on a fully extended tripod so you don't have to fiddle around to find the shutter release button to take the camera out of sleep mode. 4To Improve Your Photos Without Going Broke This is one of those occasions where there's no real reason to pay for the name brand. This does everything you expect it to do and does it reliably. I've had this for a few weeks and in daily use, have found no problems at all. It folds up nicely in my camera bag; the cord is insulated well (not shoddy); the button action doesn't stick or freak out. I use a Canon Rebel T5, if you're wondering if it works with that particular model. For a few bucks, your photos will be sharper (less shake). This is even with IC turned on. Yes, it helps, and for a few bucks, there's no reason not to snag this puppy. 5Great low cost shutter release cable This cable release worked well with my Canon Rebel T3. It will either take the photo by pressing it once (which will allow the camera to auto focus before the shot), or it can be locked into a bulb setting thus keeping the aperture open until it is unlocked. This is great for fire works shots and when using photo painting techniques with numerous bursts of lighting or flashes. The only downside is that the cord could be a little longer. Then again, if you need a remote with distance in mind, then a electronic remote might be a better option. 5I love this shutter release I love this shutter release! It is very easy to use and will make a nice addition to my camera outfit. I only wish the cord were longer so I could be in some of the group shots and click away. That stated, this shutter release does not use batteries and responds quickly when pressed. So, no worries about battery corrosion or interactive problems with the camera's programming. I'd recommend this one. 5Works great with Olympus OMD EM1 MkII Works great with EM1 MkII. The cord is a good length (1 meter not including trigger body). I like that the trigger body is small, but not too small, so it's more portable: 3 1/4" (8.2cm) long, 7/8" (2.25 cm) wide, 5/8" (1.5cm) thick. The EM1 MkII has a descent phone app that you can use as a remote trigger, but you have to connect to the camera as a WiFi hotspot first. Then you can't use your phone for connect apps. For that reason, a wired trigger is nicer at times. 5
