The flatter the phone, the worse it gets. I've used protectors like this for my IPod 4, and then my S4.There are several reasons to pick these over the competitors. These are applied with a wet solution, so when it dries, there is a seamless, bubble-free screen. It protects against scratches and even self heals to a certain extent. What I really love is that I think it also saves the glass.With one of these on, I dropped my S4 and IPod, and neither of the screens had broke. I think the fact that it is a more "organic" grip on the glass of the screen makes it give some support to the glass. In the end that means that it absorbs some shock and may help to stop the screen from cracking.Now that's just a theory that I can speak to because I'm a physics major, but I do know that the screen protectors have some cons to them too. Like any protector, they may peel off. Now these aren't like the peel and stick ones, because with the wet application you create a seamless seal between screen and protector, unlike the other style of peel and stick style. But I've put my S4 in my pocket, and when i pulled it out again, the protector had peeled off. I don't wear tight pants, but I think that if the corner of the protector is rubbed the wrong way it peels off. And once it does, you're sunk!Good news is that with the lifetime warranty, you give CS an email, and they'll send you a new one!I think the reason that I keep losing the protectors to my pockets is that my S4 is really flat, so it makes a lot of contact in my pocket, and once its rubbed the wrong way, you end up with it peeling off.This ships in a little manila envelope, so it ought to fit in a mail box: no need to keep an eye out for the mail man. 4Great Company to buy from This product didn't work well for me. The material is a really flexible and rubbery feeling. At first it worked out great but after a while I notice that if my fingernail hits it with just enough pressure it leaves a mark, and I dont have long fingernails.I would rate this lower but I am rating it 3 because of the company. They have a warranty on these things so you can go to the company for replacements, but I had also left a comment about my issues and they sent over a different model of screen protector that worked out a lot better for me. The product they sent me was more plastic and stiffer, and more of a screen protectors that I have used in the past. So if anything, I would look for a different product by this company. 3Keys... my son..... and skinomi face off! I'll make this short and simple. My son took my keys to the front of my Galaxy and proceeded to scratch at my screen. My husband told me and I said, "How bad is it!!!!???". I knew there was going to be a huge scratch or something wrong w my screen. My phone was UNHARMED. I was amazed to be frank. I have small children and several older ones and this cover (after trying many others) is my 'go to' brand.I'm sure I will need covers soon for my kids phones since they are getting that age now and this is definitely not going to be my last purchase of the techskin from Skinomi. If you want something that is gonna work... has a guarantee... and will save you the gray hairs from worry, I would go with this screen protector. It saved my phone from my son. I don't need to say much more.Also, when installing you will have a few bubbles but those will go away. Mine did and I was skeptical about it at first. 5Perfect! Screen protectors are very important to consider when having an expensive device such as the Galaxy S4 and you want to make sure that the screen protector will do its job or otherwise you will get a crack on the screen and nobody wants that. This is my first time buying a Skinomi screen protector and I was a little skeptical at first but I think I made the right decision in the end.I had a little problem installing the screen protector at first but the box includes everything you need to install it. I didn't bother reading the directions when I got it but make sure you clean the screen then wet the screen protector and apply it to the screen of the phone. Skinomi recommends leaving the phone to rest without the battery for a solid 24 hours and this process leaves no bubbles at all. My other screen protectors have always left bubbles on my phone. It's a great screen protector and does a great job at protecting the screen and who doesn't like lifetime warranty?Pros:+ Protects that beautiful screen of yours from cracks+ Lifetime Warranty+ Fits perfectly+ InexpensiveCons:-NoneOverall, I can say I am happy with the purchase I made. My phone feels secure now having installed this screen protector. Most of the other screen protectors are expensive and a rip off in my opinion but this one is perfect. I once had an issue with one of the screen protectors where for some reason it looked like there were some bubbles/smudges that would not go away, no matter how many times I had reapplied the screen. I contacted the company and send them some pictures of what I was experiencing and they shipped me a brand new protector with no issues. Turn around time was less than 24 hours for them to ship out a new screen protector.I have also used other screen protectors from other companies, but by far Skinomi has been the easiest and quickest way to ensure that my screen is protected from daily use. Totally recommend using these screen protectors if they are available for your device. Worth the little bit of cost for that little bit of extra comfort of knowing that it will protect your screens. 5Can be great I screwed up. Ruined the product and today found out I lost my phone's warranty and that jump program. I got too much fluid on my phone and set off that little dot. But, the battery wasn't in it and I waited to turn it back on so yeah.Look, while I may have wasted money on thus, and im out a ridiculous amount between insurance and jump should my phone break, or I want a new one. . . Thats largely on me.I found tge " stop! Check this yt Video first!" AFTER I messed it up, also my bad.Just want to be clear . This CAN set off your waterdamage strip, same reason they tell you to turn off your phone. Presumably even if you did it right.So. Fine product if you don't mess it up. But seriously, you can really mess it up. watch that video and be careful. 5Damaged Surface due to Packaging After ordering a Skinomi Screen Protector for my 8" Galaxy Tab 4 and loving the results, I decided to purchase this brand of screen protector for my other devices.I have now ordered two of these now for my wife's Galaxy S4. The first one went on with no issues, but after it completely cured, two days later, there is still a pattern to the surface of the protector which you can see here; i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff482/vladimir___/protector.jpgSo I ordered a replacement for the original damaged one. When the second one arrived, I paid closer attention to prior to removing it from the packaging. After examining how the cellophane bag was stuck and adhered to the screen protector, I removed the screen protector from the cellophane bag and it displayed the same pattern to the protector's surface as the way the cellophane bag was stuck to it.This surface damage is apparently a result of the cellophane bag sticking to the screen protector and probably sitting in a hot warehouse for who knows how long.I also ordered two protectors for my Galaxy Note 2. One of the two boxes had an extra piece of packaging material that prevented the cellophane bag from contacting and damaging the surface, the second one did not and had a similar pattern in the surface of the protector.So if you're purchasing this protector for a device that has just hit the market like my Galaxy Tab 4, you're probably safe. But if you're purchasing these protectors for a device that has been available for a while, you protector may have been sitting in a hot warehouse with the cellophane bag adhering to and damaging the protector's surface. 1Best screen protector I've ever bought I've purchased a few of these now for various electronics, and they are the best screen protector I've ever used. I have always gotten annoying bubbles and streaks with screen protectors, but I find I don't have this problem with TechSkin, so long as I carefully follow their instructions. I have applied several of these bubble and streak free. When they tell you in the instructions that the microstreaks and bubbles will disappear within 24 hours, they aren't kidding. Just make sure to carefully remove all the dust and lint from your screen. Applying screen protectors is always a challenge, but I do find the moist application method to be as efficient as any I've tried, and it's nice that Skinomi includes a bottle of solution for this purpose. I do find TechSkin to be a little softer than most protectors due to its thickness, but I've never had responsiveness issues and have had my screen saved from deep scratches more than once. I recently got rid of my Galaxy s3 and the screen looked brand new after a few years of being protected by TechSkins. 5Samsung S4 The protector had bubbles when I first put it on, I got it out as much as I could and continued on. A few months later the corners started coming up which caused dirt and stuff to get in on the protector and now the protector is coming off.. I have not been able to get in touch with someone and this product is suppose to have a Lifetime Warranty.Update ~Customer service was great with honoring the warranty to my screen protector and helping me with details on how to take care of the screen protector, should I have any issues in the future. With that being said im adding another star and a half more stars to this product and if I have anymore issues, I shall return. 4VERY Disappointed! I purchased this protector just recently due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback it had received. This was my first Skinomi product, but by far not my first screen protector. I've used many different kinds on many different devices to varying results. After watching the videos and reading all of the instructions, I prepared my phone and took out the contents of the package only to find that the application solution bottle was EMPTY. Ok, not a huge deal, I've used my own solution before. On to the installation. It was after I placed the protector that I noticed that it had several noticeable scratches and one obvious defect that was impossible to fix! This was right out of the box! I am going to have to use it for a few days until I can get a replacement, but as of right now, if this represents the quality of their product, I'll be looking elsewhere.Update 7/2/14Ok, it's been 5 days since I have applied this screen protector to my phone and it doesn't look any better. There are still several noticeable artifacts on the screen and it looks HORRIBLE! To their credit, it was one of the easiest and cleanest screen protector applications that I have ever done. Also, I contacted Skinomi via email on Sunday to ask for a replacement and they have yet to respond. I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of this whole "life time warranty". I'm going to try calling them and will update again.Updated 7/9/14I contacted Skinomi on the phone and the rep was very helpful and sent out a replacement. I received it on Monday, but haven't used it as I had to replace the other one with a different brand screen protector. I opened this one up and the solution is there but the screen protector still appears to have those odd swirl effects and a few places that look dented. I'm gonna hang on to this one just in case the Tech Armor screen protector that I have on gets messed up. I have updated my rating to 2 stars for the customer service and quick warranty replacement, but I still cannot in good conscious recommend this product. I would not buy again. 2
