Things you must know! Positive1. Easssssy aplication. As long as you follow instructions you are good.2. Moves around easily to get into perfect position before removing solution.3. If you mess up you cam easily spray your fingers again lift it off carefully and then reapply.4.Comes in a really nice box ;)Negative1. After applying takes two days before it is securly settled. (I have had others in the past that are instantly ready to go).2. Does not come with a plastic scraper (or at least mine did not) and they recomend in the instructions to use credit card or similar. Well this protector seems to sratch easily because after using the "recommended" credit card to work out all the bubbles, small micro scratches everywhere. If you use it this way wrap the cleanning cloth around it sobit does not scratch.3. Protector dents. Even after all settled (when dark screen) you can see anywhere anywhere you have rubbed with your nail or anything hard.4. Has a sparkle to it when lit up? Kind of like the skin on Edward from Twilight. Weird.5. Was using this with a case. When I put the case on (after the recommended cure time) the protector easily peeled on both sides where the case edge met the protector edge and caused bubbling. Even after removing and re applying still does same thing.PS. Had purchased this for my wifes phone as well and the same problems there too. 2Great Screen Protector! This screen protector was a life saver.It was easy to apply and I couldn't find a single bubble underneath after the application.I ended up dropping my phone facedown. This screen protector took the blunt of the force and saved my phone as well as the shell. No damage whatsoever to the screen. The screen protector itself wasn't badly damaged either.I would recommend a screen protector to anyone that wants to prevent their screen from cracking. Most modern screens are designed not to scratch easily, but they may still break. This could prevent it. 5Best available! The only one I like better is not available for the Droid Maxx I'm very picky when it comes to screen protectors. I almost didn't get one when I found the SGP Ultra Crystal protector was not available for the Maxx. I decided my screen needed to be protected anyway, so I gave Skinomi a chance. I'm glad I did, this screen protector is the best available. It is hard to tell it is on, the cut-outs are well aligned, it has less glare than the bare glass, and my finger glides across it very well. Most other screen protector companies get one of those features wrong. The only thing keeping this screen protector from being, in my opinion, perfect (like the SGP), is a harder, glass-like layer on top of the screen protector. This glass-like layer prevents damage to the screen protector much better, extending its life. I'm guessing Skinomi's answer to that is the lifetime warranty. The glass-like layer also gives a cleaner look without all the dimples and trails that appear on a screen protector, if some concentrated pressure is applied to it, likely by accident, such as a pen or something in the pocket with the phone. Overall, this is a very nice screen protector and I'm very happy Skinomi supplies one for the Maxx. If they make one with a glass-like layer, I will happily pay for it.The only thing I can't comment on is the removal of the screen protector. I hope it's easy and leaves no residue.Thanks for a great product! 5Adhesion Problems with MAXX I've gone through two of these in just 28 days. In both cases there were adhesion problems causing the edges to peel away. I watched the installation videos on the Skinomi website and followed the directions carefully (even though they are somewhat incorrect in the video--they ask customers to fill the spray bottle with water, but it arrives already filled with the proper solution. The first time I emptied the bottle anyways and the second time I didn't....same results). Both my wife and I have cheap Chinese skins on our old Droid RAZRs that have adhered well for over two years. When the first Skinomi lasted only a couple of weeks, I called customer service and they suggested putting a hair dryer to it, a solution that didn't work at all. Then they sent a replacement. OK customer service, but not a very good product, at least for the phone I'm using it on. 2Does exactly what it claims When I was reading reviews and even looked at some pictures and videos, I saw that some people had obvious installation issues. I was a little bit nervous to mess it up since it's pricier than the standard cheap films. When you apply, it's a "wet" installation, as long as you make sure not to have any dust around it will be fine.What you should note is that the film truly does take a few days to completely settle. After the initial waiting period(Skinomi calls for 12-24 hours, but I used mine after about 4 or 5 hours) you'll notice a lot of streaks, a weird distortion, and some bubbles. I was told this would all go away, and when I woke up the next day, it was a little better, but I wasn't happy. Then the NEXT day when I woke up, it was 100% flawless.I didn't receive a squeegee in my kit for whatever reason, that's my only real flaw with it...but I'm not going to take a star away because I am 100% satisfied with the product. I've had it on for over a month now and with the lifetime warranty, I can't see myself using any other companies from here on out. 5Droid Maxx application The sales rep for my Droid Maxx told me that all smartphones need screen protectors, even though the Maxx uses Gorilla Glass. I decided to research the protectors available currently. Received the Skinomi and studied the instructions and Skinomi video. Also viewed several Youtube videos and steadfastly pressed forward with application. Should have paid a bit more attention to the instructions on spraying both sides of the TechSkin. I ended up with about a third of the screen covered with micro bubbles. After 12 hours most of those had disappeared and I needed to use the phone. After 24 hours all of the micro bubbles had disappeared. Even when the bubbles were still there and visible on the sleeping phone, when the phone was used the colors and clarity were excellent and I could see no bubbles! After using for several days in pockets with keys, etc., there are no scratches. The TechSkin easily cleans to clear when rubbed with soft cloth. To be frank, though, I could care less what it might look like when asleep. Most important thing is what it looks like when being used. 4Great Screen Protector Bought this about a month ago. Application was very quick and easy, after readying the instructions and watching a couple of the YouTube videos it only took about 5-10 minutes to apply. Make sure when trying to push the air bubbles out with a credit card that you lay the credit card as flat as possible so you don't dent the protector too much (yes this can happen, I did it). I had a couple of small air bubbles trapped under the protector but like the instructions said, they disappeared in a day, I think it helped after turning the phone back on and getting some heat to finish removing the air bubbles and setting the protector. It is true that this protector can "heal" itself, I had a couple of light scratches in it that disappeared after about a day or two. The screen protector resists fingerprints fairly well but does still get some. One thing to be cautious of is if you get anything stuck to the screen (small piece of food, dirt, etc.) that you try to rub it off as opposed to scrape it off as this will dent the protector due to it being slightly rubbery. 5This one is the absolute worst so far Not a fan at all. I've seen and even installed s teen protectors before. This one is the absolute worst so far. I didn't care for the thinness of the protector, also I had to trim some of it away, because it did work well with my hard case cover. And although the screen has not been damaged in anyway. you can clearly see that something has come into contact with the film ie. scuff marks, indentation's and the like. Which is not the most flattering my search continues for something suitable for my phone. 1I love em. The extra time and more complicated putting ... I didn't want to post a review until I had time to see what this screen protector could really do. I love em. The extra time and more complicated putting it on process if definitely worth it. I had one for a year, and another for 3 months. 3 months because I dropped my phone and have to replace it, but the screen protector is awesome. I am getting another one for my replacement phone.Beware of heat. I left my old phone in my car on a hot day, and the edges bubbled up. One edge never went back down. Again, operator error, not the screen protector. 5I thought I blew it. I thought I blew it. I read the reviews, I watched the YouTube video instructions (DEFINITELY watch this before you apply the Skinomi if it's your first try with wet application), and thought I had followed the instructions carefully. But when I finished, the Skinomi looked terrible - all sorts of bubbles and defects. I knew there would be some of this according to other reviews, but I thought I had completely muffed it. However, several days later, it looks darned near perfect! Amazing! Because you can move it on the surface after you apply it while it is still wet, it's easy to get a perfect fit. Be thorough in applying the wetting solution to your hand and both sides of the Skinomi, as well as squeegieing it carefully and repeatedly. And once your finished, try not to look too closely for the next 48 hours. In the end, you'll have a nearly flawless skin protecting your investment. Highly recommended! 5
