    Exactly as Described, Perfect "MINI" Lamp This lamp is perfect! It is EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED! I needed a very small lamp to fit on a wall shelf in my son's nursery. Nothing too bright, just enough so it wasn't pitch black for my baby boy during rocking and feedings, 40 watts does just the job just right! I've seen a lot of complaints that people thought they were buying a full sized lamp. It clearly states in the title that this is a "Mini Lamp". If you scroll down to the "Technical Details" (which you should always do if you are buying anything online) it says that the height of the lamp is 9.4 inches and that the width of the lamp shade is 5.5 inches. This worked perfectly for me as my wall shelf is only 7 inches wide. To give you a better idea of the size, it is about 1/2" taller than a Little Golden Book. I have also read another silly complaint claiming that the lamp shade itself is a fire hazard because it comes with plastic over it that could melt. It does indeed have plastic to protect it while being shipped, but it also has a sticker instructing you to "remove plastic before use". All in all this is a very good little lamp for someone who needs something tiny, slightly dim, and inexpensive. 5Tiny but Mighty First off yes, it is TINY. It won t light up an entire room. It wouldn t be good for a desk to do your work. It is great for an accent lamp or a small bedside table which is what I got it for. It is compact for moving.I chose a GE Lighting 22239 Energy-Smart LED 4.5-watt, 350-Lumen light bulb to use with it. Found it here on Amazon for a pretty decent price.Yes, the bulb extends a bit over the top of the cover. This could be a bad thing if you need to reach over the lamp to turn it off or reach over it in general. I tend not to mind as the bulb I chose doesn t burn hot at all. I found this out by accident when the lamp fell over and I accidentally touched the bulb. At that point it hadn t been on that long.I purposely left it on for over eight (8) hours, and wrapped the palm of my hand over the light bulb. Not cold, but not hot. It was lukewarm like tap water. So, with regard to the lamp burning hot with the bulb I got it doesn t. If it does, I would also look at the wiring and outlet. Again, this is my personal experience with this type of lamp and bulb combination.The switch is awkwardly placed. I do have to position the cord carefully around to access it. This works because I do have a small area where the lamp is so that isn t too much of an issue.It is lightweight so moving it isn t too much work or hassle.It isn t too bad of a lamp for the price. 4Super Small Lamp!! The lamp itself is pretty cute. Sadly, despite seeing the measurements when I ordered it, I didn't realize how super small this lamp would be. I got it for my daughter's room and wanted a smaller lamp, but this is almost doll-house sized. It takes a candelabra base light bulb, but a standard candelabra bulb still sticks out over the lampshade because this lamp is so small. My daughter hated it. And it's not even worth returning it since over half the price would go to a return shipping fee. Overall this was a terrible purchase. 1has issues It gets hot very fast which is a bit scary. It says it needs 40 watt candelabra bulbs so I got those, but if I screw the bulb in all the way, it's crooked and it gets so hot I'm worried it'll make the shade catch fire. So I don't screw it in all the way. The bulb sticks out the top. Shade gets warm. Also, I don't like the switch. It's just inconvenient and too far down the wire to comfortably reach. I worry I'll know the lamp over when I try to turn it on/off and, the thing gets so hot I'm sure knocking it over would be a huge fire hazard. I did not think such a tiny lamp would be an issue. It's only 9 inches tall. It's so small. But it gets burning hot fast. 2This lamp was perfect for my daughter's nursery This lamp was perfect for my daughter's nursery. It is small and has the perfect amount of light for nap time. It was very plain so I painted it to make it have a prettier appeal. Highly recommended. I have the same brand but another style in my son's room and it has been going strong for the past year. They're the perfect lamp for a child's room. 5Cute Little Lamp! Cute little lamp, perfect for the limited space I have for it. I found the PERFECT lightbulbs too (by accident, I had purchased them and realized they were too small for the device I had). If interested, the light bulb I'm using is GE Soft white 40 wt 230-Lumen Decorative A15 candelabra base. It's so cute, looks like a mini light bulb, made just for this kind of lamp. 5Accent lamp, not "table lamp". The main description is misleading calling it a table lamp in the heading. This is NOT something you're going to put on an end table next to the sofa unless you're an Oompa Loompa. It's a decorative accent lamp that's exactly 9 inches tall from bottom to top of shade. The description says 9.45" but I measured an exact 9 inches.I placed a 3w (15w equivalent) LED candelabra bulb inside bought from Wally World for under 3 bucks. You could use a regular candelabra bulb, but living in hot FL I want to save all those watts used for the central AC and less on light bulbs, so all the bulbs in my house are LED. It does stick out a bit from the shade when using LED though (regular candelabra bulbs won't).But as you can see in my photo, I just placed it above a couple of decorative boxes so you can't see the bulb but still see the lamp. I placed it in a dark counter area between my fridge and laundry closet and it look really nice and cozy.If you want accent lighting in a dark little corner, this is perfect. Again, it's NOT going to light up your living room, it's for accent purposes only in my opinion.I also like to add, I chose from the Amazon Warehouse Deals and open box (possibly a return) was half the regular price and it arrived 2 days with Prime and in perfect condition. So check those deals too. It doesn't come with the light bulb, so get that in advance so you're prepared when it arrives.All total, with light bulb, I paid about $7.50 and feel it was worth every penny for such a cute little lamp. As you see, I got the blue one and hope the photo helps! 5Not a bad lamp, but I do not recommend for young ... Dangerous for small children. My 3 year old put a blanket over top of the lamp for less than five minutes with the bulb in place that it came with, and everything nearly caught in fire!!! The entire lamp shade and her beloved blankey melted in a matter of minutes. Not a bad lamp, but I do not recommend for young children. 3Colors not as shown - Size and amount of light are perfect for my bed table! Lamp is NOT as pretty as photo shows, Color of shade is black - NOT indigo - and light does NOT shine through. I poked holes in mine to make a star-light effect, very pretty! The base color is more of a bland plastic-looking grayish-blue (although it is ceramic).It's definitely better than a nightlight. It will only take the small nightlight bulbs but they come in 15w, not just 4w, so it's perfect for me. I had purchased 40w candleabra bulbs for it but they are super-bright and too tall.Almost gave this 3 stars but I'm making it work and it's very solid, well-made lamp. 4Cute accent lamp Nice small lamp that I use for my home's bar area. I had some slim chandelier light bulbs that fit just fine. This is a small lamp and is a nice accent item but if you're looking to use it as a reading lamp, you might need to get brighter bulbs and elevate it. Alternatively, it can be used as a pretty effective night light if you have elderly folk who need some light at night to get around... It does look really nice in my bar area and gives it a neat ambience without taking up much space. I was looking for something small and this works very well for my needs.Updated : I liked this so much, I got a second one. Takes standard chandelier bulbs. Warm lighting. 5
