Great accent lightingLove these I use these with my Philips Hue bulbs for dramatic up lights 4Two lights did not work.I ordered the chrome spot light. First one did not work. The power switch (on / off push switch) did not work and the light could not be turned on. I received a replacement and again the power switch did not work. For the second fixture, the power switch was in a permanent on position. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it or with a remote if you had that type of light bulb in it.The light fixture does look good. The seller was very responsive. However, I did not want to try for a third time and continue to waste time. 1DO NOT BUYLess than a month using it and broken the junction of the arm with with the light head. The screw to fix to the table is also faulty, I had to replace it with an old one from another one. The reflector around the lightning head, keeps falling, it does not remain well adjusted, I had to drill a hole and put an screw. Definitively a big: DO NOT BUY. 1Perfect for my needsThis was perfect for my needs ... mounted it on my wall with a CFL grow light for my plants. While the cord could have been longer, I bought extra lamp cord and spliced it together. Then covered the cord with a cord cover that sticks to the wall. Looks great! 5Back Lighting the TVI bought this fixture to go with some color changing LED bulbs I bought that were the wrong size for my studio fixtures. Then I put it behind my TV cabinet that stands in a corner. The backlighting is awesome and I can change the colors to match the mood of whatever I m watching. It also makes watching TV easier on my eyes. Fixture stays cool and adjustments stay where set. Love the application so thought I would share! 5Great little addition of light.Perfect little can to add light to dark corners. We put them on the top of our wall unit and they highlight that area. 5Watch outBeware the clamp is all PLASTIC including the screw to tighten it; when the metal base is inserted into the plastic clamp it cannot be secured in any particular position, it swivels freely, prohibiting diagonal or vertical installation. Max bulb is just 60watts. All hinge tightening nuts are covered in PLASTIC knob that can barely be moved. Haven't decided we there to keep it or not. 3,I needed a light lIke this to replace a similar product whose socket had failed. This is c adequate but I had some problems.First I couldn't get the lamp to bend at the hinged points. I had to loosen the screws slightly, and then it seemed to work BUT the coil springs then flew off one and a few minutes later the other one. They flew off with a lot of force, so use caution. They are designed to hook over a bent metal tab, but it is poorly designed, and they work their way off the tab because the angle of the punched metal tab is wrong. The hinges are tight tho, so I decided to scrap the springs. My earlier lamp had a fitting over the knurled plastic rotating switch handle, and this does not have that feature. But it works fine without it, just not quiet as elegant.I am satisfied with the product, but it is not top of the line for sure. 3Does the jobI bought this spotlight to shine on a company logo on a wall in front of large window at night. That way, I can get some branding when people pass by without running up the electrical bill. I also bought a CFL flood light bulb (GE Lighting Energy Smart CFL 20708 16-Watt, 750-Lumen R30 Floodlight Bulb with Medium Base, 1-Pack) so that the unit won't get hot and be a fire risk. So far, it's worked exactly as planned. It's thin and light without being flimsy. My only complaints would be that there's no easy way to tighten the screws that determine the angle of the light, and the whole thing would be sturdier if it was a little heavier. Other than that, it's a good little spotlight for a good price. 4Purchased for holiday accent lighting. RecommendedThis year I put some new Halloween decorations in the front foyer. I put vinyl appliques on the front door glass, so the decorations aren't plainly visible from the street. I played around with a desk lamp and determined that some accent lighting would help. I purchased two of these to use as temporary lighting fixtures with some LIFX+ bulbs I had laying around.Packaging/Build QualityMy fixtures arrived as two inner-pack cardboard boxes in an Amazon outer box. The packaging did not look like the clear plastic enclosure pictured in the item photos - though I prefer the cardboard. The fixture is unremarkable, and nearly indistinguishable from many other similar items on Amazon (I selected it based on my prior experiences with the Satco brand). The construction and finish quality is fine - no sharp edges, no uneven paint. The cord is a little short (6ft). The base has a little heft, but it is not that heavy. Overall, it's obvious that this is an inexpensive item.PerformanceThere's not much to say here. It's clear that the fixture is intended to house larger BR/PAR type bulbs, but it also workswith the A19 LIFX+ bulbs that I have. The adjustment clamp works fine. Some have mentioned the clamp material (plastic), but it's really not an issue.ConclusionIf you're in the market for an indoor spot fixture that uses A19 base bulbs, this will work for you. I don't really think that any of the finishes are all that attractive for display, but that's not a problem if you plan on tucking them away behind furniture, an indoor plant, etc. If you need more than one, please note that Amazon sells multi-packs (I didn't know that, oops).
