Description

The SANUS VLT6 Advanced Tilt Premium TV Wall Mount features a revolutionary design, providing 5.7" of extension on a tilting mount.
The extension allows even the largest of TVs to achieve the maximum listed tilt range.
Large TVs installed on traditional tilting mounts often hit the wall, limiting the maximum tilt that can be achieved. The VLT6 solves this issue by extending from the wall, offering TVs a larger tilt range. More tilt translates to better glare reduction.
An open wall plate design allows the VLT6 can be mounted directly over electrical outlets for a super clean installation.
Compatible with most 46"-90" flat panel TVs up to 150 lbs.

Great mount for getting into tight spaces! Here was my dilemma, I had an 8 inch recessed space above my fireplace that was only 2 inches taller and less than 1.5 inches wider than the TV I wanted to mount inside it. I knew that once I got it placed, if I could, there would be great difficulty getting behind it to plug it in and insert cables. I didn't want a fully articulating mount as I wanted it to maintain a low profile but also knew a standard tilt mount wouldn't do. Stumbled upon Sanus while doing product research and after seeing a lot of positive reviews decided to check out what they had to offer. Called their 800 number as well and talked to a customer service representative who was very knowledgeable and pointed me towards this mount. I hadn't planned on spending this amount of money on a mount, but in the end it was money well spent. It did take a bit to get it into the space, and yes there were some pinched fingers and a few swear words, but I don't think any other tilt mount would have been as easy, both getting it mounted and getting everything hooked up after mounting. This mount not only allows one to tilt up and down but also side-to-side tilt as you can operate the extensions independently. This came in super handy when hooking up the cables on the back of the TV. In addition the post mounting leveling allen screws on the top of the arms made centering it in the space super simple. Very pleased and will be purchasing other Sanus mounts for my future mounting needs. 5SIMPLY THE BEST!!! I just bought an 82" Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV. If you know anything about TVs you know this was a significant investment. I wasn't about to trust this TV to anything but the best when it came to mounting it.I'd purchased and installed Sanus mounts before and I've always been happy with their strength and security. I was pleasantly surprised with how much they have improved since the last time I installed one.The instructions are clear, and if you have any problems you can call their service center and talk over your installation with them.Additionally, I love their positioning calculation instructions. No guess work involved! Just put in the numbers and it tells you exactly where to drill the holes to get exactly the height you want.Finally, I really loved that this model has the ability to tilt, pan, and extend a bit from the wall. That makes it so much easier to hide the cords and cables as well as get the exact viewing angle needed for your seating position.Not only would I recommend this mount for your large screen TV... IT'S THE ONLY ONE I'D RECOMMEND! 5My Favorite TV Mount Tried a cheaper brand but had to return it. Sanus makes great mounts and this one is superb and reasonably priced for its features. It comes with a template, lots of hardware to fit most brands including my Samsung 55, an internet video link and was very easy to install. I really love this design because it allows for left/right movement and up/down movement after the brace has been attached to the wall. I was off 1/4 inch from the mantle on the right side, which actually was noticeable, but the adjustment screw fixed that. Centering between two posts was accomplished by nudging it to onside. Also the additional 3 inches or so pull away feature allows you to hook up cables without lifting it off the wall. That is great for backs, especially if you do not have a helper. It tilts and can swivel left or right if need be. Kudos to this design! 5High quality! You're getting what you pay for. Do you really want to trust your brand new $2K TV to a cheap $36 wall mount? You get what you pay for, so I'm happy to spend a little more knowing I'm getting a robust design with quality materials.Pros:- High capacity lag bolts for studs = can hold plenty of weight = TV not go 'boom'!- Fits directly over outlets with room to still plug things in if needed (i.e. why I bought mine)- Mounting slots allow great adjustability for mounting position or finding studs- Tilt feature is sturdy and holds in place when tightened- The left and right 'arms' that allow it to move away from the wall can also be used to adjust the angle of the screen left or right depending on your viewing angle. Not exactly 'full tilt' motion, but still nice.Cons:- Pricey- Don't listen to people that trust their $2K TV to drywall anchors! Use the quality lag bolts given and drive them into studs; far more loading capacity that way. A lot of the cheaper mounts seem like a good deal but will give you smaller capacity, less room for adjustments, or poor quality parts like lag bolts that sheer off when tightening. Sanus uses quality materials that I've never had that happen with.PS: Anyone showing a picture of a busted TV that ripped out of their drywall needs physics in their life. 5Quality mounting solution for larger televisions. The kit is complete with all the necessary mounting hardware and comes complete with very detailed instructions. The ability to move the set away from the wall and angle up, down, left and right is an added bonus including the ability to slide left and right and adjust levelness with setscrews on the left and right mounting brackets.Removal of the set is somewhat difficult but not very depending on the size of your set, the pull tabs on the bottom work well to unsnap the bracket from the wall mount and then lift up and out to remove the set from the wall.Given the ease of installation, detailed instructions, quality mounting hardware and range of motion that this bracket offers, it's a no brainer to use this bracket to complete your wall mount installation. 5that wasnt the smartest thing to do but when your wife doesnt arrive for 5 hours and you have 75" of 4k HDR to enjoy, you get creative Installed a 95lb, 75" TV myself using this. Yes, that wasnt the smartest thing to do but when your wife doesnt arrive for 5 hours and you have 75" of 4k HDR to enjoy, you get creative!Actually, the setup was a breeze. The instructions and videos were perfect and allowed me to install it perfectly level on the first try. Since the brackets hook in and use gravity to lock, all i had to do was lift it up and get at least ONE hooked in. Then I could let that one hold the other side while I adjusted and locked the opposite side.I have only one complaint of the product - I wish there was a way to lock the two sides so they move together. That way I cant angle it left or right, just tilt. Basically - tilt lock.Sanus - take note, put something that allows me to lock both sides together so they cant move independently of each other and its a perfect product.Still, giving 5 stars on the premise that I installed a 75" tv 46" in the air by myself. Couldn't have done it without a good product. 5AWESOME!!! Product I cannot speak highly enough about this product and the company's level of service. I was feeling really intimidated about mounting a 50" TV over the fireplace (getting it level, at the right height, etc). The last time I mounted a TV was 10 years ago. I ordered this VLT6 unit specifically because the TV is an older model and weighs quite a bit (150 lbs). Although it cost quite a bit more than some comparable products, they competitors did not have the weight capacity.The box arrived on time and upon opening I found a very well laid out packing arrangement, with all hardware and the mount arms in a removable rigid cardboard tray, and the wall bracket underneath.All hardware needed to install the unit was fully included and the instruction booklet was very clear about the tools needed for each of the 3 supported mounting surfaces (wood studs, metal studs and concrete block). The manual; was very clear on how to install the arms on the TV and the bracket on the wall.One feature offered on their website is a mounting tool - I can't adequately enough my gratitude for this! You put in the Brand and model of TV you have, where the arms are mounted relative to the TV, how high you want the TV off the ground - the app then computes and displays how high off the ground to drill the top and bottom holes for mounting. This was worth the extra cost of the product for me - I could have wasted a lot of time measuring and calculating where to put the holes and probably getting it wrong a couple times. With the app, I was right on target for where I wanted to be. Mounting was simple, just lift, hang and lock the bottom in place.Next time I need a mount I'm going w/ Sanus and will recommend to anyone who asks. 5Prepare for a Kafkaesque Journey! If you have metal studs in your wall (do you...are you sure?) you are purchasing a very expensive and impractical paperweight, until you also purchase a metal stud installation kit. Oh, and that kit won't have the necessary washers, so be sure to purchase those separately. Oh, and the size of the washers is in metric in the instructions, so be sure to either do the mathematical conversion to US system or wait until you get the kit and bring a screw with you to the hardware store and try a bunch of different washers out until you find one that fits. Oh, you're also going to need a rather large 1/2'' drill bit (or you won't be installing anything), so make sure you have that before purchasing this. Oh, and if you don't have a stud finder, just buy one before purchasing this. Oh, and buy some drywall epoxy ahead of time because you'll likely make a bunch of holes.Ultimately, I'm convinced Sanus and the makers of the metal stud installation kit are both attempting to abdicate themselves from legal liability if your TV falls off and kills a child, by intentionally omitting key elements of the assembly process in this expensive kit. So, if you don't buy the right wall mounting kit, Sanus's lawyers are going to say you didn't install the wall mount properly. If you buy the metal stud installation kit (which is missing the washers) and either: proceed without washers, or purchase the incorrect washers, then the metal stud installation kit maker's lawyers are going to claim that you didn't install the wall mount correctly because you deviated from the instructions. In the end, the thing is on my wall and it seems alright, but do not expect to be purchasing a kit that includes everything you need to install this wall mount. I had to spend about $50 and make 3 trips to the hardware store just to mount this on my wall. Ridiculous. 1Worth every penny So there are cheaper TV mounts out there, but I did not want to hang a heavy, expensive TV on a $30 mount. Sanus makes a great product. Everything is well packaged. Instructions are wonderfully clear and they give you a template for finding the holes on the wall. I am so used to seeing confusing instructions with little if any description of what to do, this was such a pleasant surprise. Separate instructions are provided for concrete installations and/or metal studs instead of traditional wood studs (though I believe you have to purchase separate mounting hardware for metal studs - check the manufacturer's website, where you can access the installation manual).In terms of features, you can adjust height, lateral position, leveling, tilting, and distance from the wall after hanging the TV, which is phenomenal. Also being able to pull the TV away from the wall several inches really helps with accessing power and A/V ports.Installation was easy. You will want a second person for hanging the TV. Also make sure to have a stud finder, screwdriver, measuring tape, level, drill, and socket wrench set. I also used an awl to help find the center of the studs but you could use a nail.Overall very happy. If I ever need another mount, I am 100% going with Sanus. 5Nice sturdy mount for my 75-inch TV Nice sturdy mount for my 75-inch TV. I had bought two mounts in order to compare them, this one and a $40 cheap brand. Side by side, the Sanus was by far the more robust of the two, so that's what I decided to use, given that I'm entrusting a $2000 TV to it. The wall mount is plenty wide enough to accommodate most stud widths. The telescoping and tilt movement of this mount allow you to get behind the TV to hook up connections and position it exactly as you want. 5
