useful if you have a case on your phone Haven't had it for too long but so far it's kind of "meh" for a flash drive.Pros -Small - would be tough making a flash drive any smaller that includes both a USB and microUSB connectorRead speeds - as advertised. Crystaldiskmark putting sequential read speeds between 147 and 151MB/s over USB3Recognized by a Moto X ForceCons -Write speeds - Top out at ~6MB/s in synthetic benchmarks. Must be hitting some sort of cache limit, Windows transfer graph on substantial files (80-100MB vid files) show writes peaking at 11MB/s then quickly dipping to 500k before slowly cliimbing again.Exposed connectorsMicro USB connector seems a touch long. I can understand, useful if you have a case on your phone, but if you have a thin/no case or one that doesn't cover the area around the port, the drive sticks out further than a normal micro USB connector, could possibly put more strain on the internals of the port if it gets snagged. No lanyard/wrist strap 3Effective, tiny, made it through the wash. Small enough to forget you have it in your pocket, incredibly useful for instant transfer to Androids, computers, etc, and survived the inevitable laundry gauntlet. 5Versatile It works right out of the package. This allows me to load larger files from my computer, and then have access from a tablet or phone.Works well enough for me to play videos. The packaging is terrible. Item is not protected, and you risk damaging it while trying to cut it open. Opening the package can be dangerous if you cut yourself. 3It's a thumbdrive. The thumb drive works and works well for data transfer between my PC, Chromebook and Smartphone. The two connectors fit well and allow for fairly rapid data transfer. So why only three stars? There are two reasons:1) The protective plastic cover is a bit hard to move across the micro USB port at times and I'm concerned that it will break.2) The included software for Android is basically another file / space manager that does not work as well as Googles own Files program while taking up significantly more space and requiring more resources and permissions than I'm comfortable giving. 3Worked once but never again I bought this thinking it would be a great way to back up photos from my while traveling. I checked it out before I left and it was awesome. I even bought a second one so that I would have plenty of storage but neither ever worked again. I love Sandisk memory cards but this product is totally disappointing. Sandisk is replacing them and I hope it helps. 2Check Compatibility! Make sure your phone is listed as compatible on their website. I originally bought it for my Blu phone but it's not on the list ...luckily my back up Samsung Galaxy 3 was on the list. It was so easy to transfer the files!! If your phone is on the list it's definitely worth buying!! 4It has a design flaw. Whe cover does not ... It has a design flaw. Whe cover does not stay put while you insert the drive in your pc. Should have a lock position so its easier to insert into ports 3Tiny and works perfectly in my phone, tablet and notebooks! Great! Really tiny and useful.Just inserted into tablet and later on the phone to send some pictures from one to the other.Read speed is great ! Over 100Mb/s ...I got 130Mb/s in notebook.Write speed is a bit dissappointing to me. I could not find the write speed in product description so I was expecting more than the <7Mb/s that I am getting.I read about some complains about insertion task, Just take the device from the moving part not the transparent body.again, it is really tiny, I cannot expect to not be sliding when inserting it. 4Great speeds, below average build quality For the price, I guess build would just be a bonus. At below $20 for 32GB, I understand you're paying more for functionality than durability. That being said, I've purchased $10-15 drives with significantly more substantial plastic than this one. I currently use a metal Kingston drive, but I had to go out and buy a new one because it had gotten so banged up over the years. Just looking at this one I could tell it wouldn't be able to stand nearly the same wear and tear. My biggest concern was that because it has moving parts, everyday use would add onto the damage of being put in and out of bags, computers, pockets, etc. Additionally, the loop for a keychain is abysmal. The plastic there is the most frail of all. All that being said, speed/price/size are unmatched at this price, which is why I bought this product in the first place. I did my usual 4gb video read and write test and it was slightly faster than my previous device. If you know you're not going to need a super durable drive, definitely spring for this one. But if you plan to use it in a variety of devices and store it in a variety of places, I recommend spending the extra few bucks on a full metal built alternative. 4Better make sure it works with your device(s) Sounds like a great idea, but implementation is poor. Spent over an hour downloading and installing their Memory Zone application and upon first try, got the message that my phone device wasn't connected. I checked all connections for tightness and they were tight. Then I got the message that the OTG may have been disabled in my settings and I should search for OTG and make sure that it was enabled.. SanDisk provided a handy link for my settings. I clicked on the link, went to settings and after paging through several pages, could find no mention of OTG. So I went to the next screen on the phone. Then I received the message that said that maybe my phone may be incompatible with the Dual USB drive. Again they provided me with a handy link to their compatibility website. I have a Motorola Moto Z Play Droid. Although I saw that terminology on several Motorola items, I found none with ALL of those terms on a single line on their website. Back to the "diagnostics" on the phone. The next screen said that "Certain mobile devices do not support exFAT" and I may need to format the drive to FAT32. Again they provided a handy link to find out more about this. I clicked the handy link and was directed to a website that described that there are several free programs I could download to perform the format. At this point I had already wasted over an hour. I was not going to download yet another program to make this jump drive work. In frustration, I went to the next screen on the phone, which informed me that my battery might be low (it wasn't). Then it said that if I still wasn't able to connect, I should contact them. No phone number. No website. Nothing. After providing all of the handy links on prior screens, they didn't have the decency to provide any contact information for their own company! Their jump drive now provides the same value as a CD that was incorrectly written to and now used as a coaster. I'll use the drive as a regular jump drive that should have been a great idea, but sadly, failed miserably. 2
