por qualityThe roll we got was wrinkle. No good1Five Starsgreat5Great product Perfect hack for IKEA desk 5Beautiful faux marble countertop I never EVER write a review UNLESS I had a really good or bad experience. This is an awesome high quality faux marble countertop!!! Used it to cover the wood table for my vanity room and couldn't be more happier! Friends thought it was real marble and shocked when I revealed it wasn't! Shipping was fast and it arrived perfectly the only downside thing is I thought I would've gotten more! But for the price you can't beat it. 5If you have a place to cut out.. Don't buy this paper!!!The back paper is not rolled to coincide with top paper. And the color was nothing like what I ordered1Easy kitchen renovation Decided to renovate my kitchen by myself and bought this for my counters. Very real looking. Thick and strong- not like regular contact paper. Easy to apply. (Before and after photos.) 5GREAT FOR DIY I used this for a DIY project.I up-cycled an old outdated dresser and this was the perfect touch. It came out Amazing! 5They are holding up great!! And someone even asked if it was ... I used these to cover my kitchen countertops. They are holding up great!! And someone even asked if it was real stone from far away! 5Watch Youtube Tutorials! First thing is first - you NEED to watch Youtube videos on how to apply this. Not from the manufacturer, but from actual people who are using contact paper. I never could have done this without doing that first. All of the negative reviews refer to bubbles and corners, but if you follow instructions (which they did not provide) on Youtube, those will not be an issue. You need a box cutter, a plastic putty scraper & patience.I love how it looks on my counter top. It took me about an hour to apply because I am very obsessive and wanted it PERFECT. You barely see the lines where I needed to start a new section. No one but me can see them though. This is very thick, durable, waterproof & shiny material. It looks as if I bought a whole counter top.I have tried other brands and returned them all, this is by far the very best material. 5The color I ordered is way off.Not what I expected. Color looks dark green but decided to try it out. I needed more now they don't have this color in stock. Wasted my money.1good stuffworked great5Great looking and easy to use if you know a few things ahead of time When I ordered this, I wondered how realistic it would look. When I got it, I was impressed - the glossy sheen and design definitely help this pass for real marble. If applied smoothly, I'd say you'd have to get within a few feet of it before you'd start to suspect that it wasn't the real thing.Took off one star because it isn't 100% opaque. I covered the top of an old changing table with it, and thought I could skip painting some holes I had filled in the top of the table, since I was covering it with this. While the paper did cover well for the most part, you could see the spots of off white wood filler through the contact paper. Thankfully I caught it early and was able to fix the issue by pulling the paper back, then coloring the wood filler with a brown marker so there was less contrast between the filler and the wood. So if you are covering something with a high contrast finish (i.e. a painted finish with bold stripes, polka dots, etc.), be aware you may need to prime first to get rid of the contrast.Apply with the direction of the roll when possible to save yourself some headaches (what I mean is, if you cut a long piece from the roll, start applying from the short side and work your way down the length of the paper from there). I wrapped a small shelf with this paper before I did the changing table top and tried applying the paper starting from the long side of the piece I had cut, thinking it would go faster that way. Bad idea, I was fighting the natural curl in the paper the whole time and had to gently pull the paper back in spots to reposition many times. On the changing table, I started with the short side of the piece of paper I had cut, and it went much more smoothly. If you must apply from the long side, I highly recommend getting someone to help you so you have an extra set of hands to make adjustments. 4Worked Great!Restored a bathroom vanity with this. Turned out beautiful! Nice looking. Material is good and easy to work with. Ten times better than any thin contact paper and the right size so I did not have to piece it. Well worth the money.5Easy to apply granite-look marble effect counter top self-adhesive thick filmI've used a similar product and had great results. This is just as easy to apply and is a quick makeover for a tired vanity. My vanity was white on a white cabinet in a white bathroom with a tragically red drop in sink. I pulled out that red sink, cleaned the vanity well and vacuumed it afterward for a smooth surface then applied the Marble effect covering, smoothing it out by hand as it went on. Once the top was done I cut out the sink opening with a box cutter and caulked around the edge and under the new white sink for a double seal before installing the sink. Lastly I trimmed the front edge so it wrapped under the edge and installed a new faucet set. What a fantastic makeover! It looks like I spent a small fortune on it but didn't! This product is one of the most innovative in interior upgrades at extremely reasonable prices. If you're tired of looking at that old formica but not ready to rip it out just yet, look no further than this wonderful alternative.5The first thing to be aware is that it does not look like real marble So I was skeptical as well as hopeful after reading dozens of reviews of this same product but which is only 2 feet wide. https://www.amazon.com/Granite-Contact-Adhesive-Peel-stick-Counter/dp/B0109FFUYG/ref=lp_15791550011_1_1?srs=15791550011&ie=UTF8&qid=1498676067&sr=8-1Since our counter is 25 inches I went with this product so that I would have a seamless counter top. The first thing to be aware is that it does not look like real marble. If you've ever had marble anything, this will not make you happy. You have to think of this as a great way to inexpensively update your counter tops with something that will be bright, and clean looking with a nice digital print. If you're ok with that, this product is awesome. I had no idea that contact paper had advanced so much since the 70's when we were contacting drawers and school folders. This is much thicker and does not crease as easily. It's extremely sticky but at the same time, you can pull it up multiple times until you get the positioning right, which I guarantee you will be doing. My bf and I covered a very small counter top that is 25" X 6 feet and it took us 5 hours! I recommend lots of patience and determination. There will be bubbles no matter how careful you are. Don't believe all the advertising that their super exclusive technology prevents bubbles. We were slow and careful and still, bubbles appeared. Some reviewers advise sticking a pin into the bubble but I don't. You can see the hole! We just stuck the sheet down a few inches at a time, pulled it up when a bubble appeared, stuck it down. pulled it up.... rinse and repeat. It's just the nature of trying to get two surfaces to bond together just by pressing. Air has to escape.Helpful tips, cut a hole out for your sink before you start to lay the contact sheet and have someone help you. I did most of the laying while my bf held the rest of it up and away from me. Know that it will also stretch as you work with it so it will likely contort a little out of shape while you work.Don't be afraid to pull it up if you're not happy with the way you've laid it. It will re-stick.We've had it for a week now and love how much brighter our kitchen is. It's super easy to clean, doesn't stain (Yet) and seems quite scratch resistant. We have our toaster oven on it and the heat hasn't caused it to come off which is great. I ended up caulking where it joined with our back splash as well as around the sink so it somehow now looks more like a real counter top of some sort. Fatastic upgrade for the price. 4Looks surprisingly real!! Easy to apply, looks so incredibly real. We cleaned our old formica countertop with acetone, then applied. People can't believe it's an adhesive and not marble. Hopefully it will hold up long term! 5perfect for an easy rental-kitchen update I used about 6 rolls of this product to cover my ugly rental laminate counter tops and it made a huge difference! It looks great in person, and if you're not inspecting it up close, it looks close enough to real marble. I did the installation myself over a weekend, spending about 4-6 hours on it each day. It is important to make sure your countertops are clean- i removed any residue with goo gone, cleaned with soapy water, then finished with 409 to make sure there was no residue. I dried the counter tops with a hairdryer after cleaning. I divided the space into sections no bigger than 26 in x 24 in and measured and pre- cut pieces. I started at a corner by peeling off the backing and sticking down just the corner. I used a squeegee/ scraper to smooth out bubbles and apply as i slowly pulled away the backing. Would have been easier with 2 people but was definitely fine with 1. If a piece gets messed up, misaligned, or wrinkled, it is easy enough to pull up the section and re start. There will be bubbles no matter how careful you are in the application process; it is a fact of life. Live with it. In the right lighting, they are hardly noticeable. More bubbles showed up 2-4 days after applying it and i'm sure with temperature/ humidity changes there will be more.I have had it on for a month now and it is holding up perfectly. I applied it around the sink and it shows no signs of water damage or peeling. Just be sure to always use a pot holder if putting down hot items and always use a cutting board. 5
