Customer Reviews

Good Quality for the price! This review is for the RiteAV 6 Feet 3.5mm Male to Stereo RCA Male Cable. This works as expected so it is a good value for the money. Still working years later as well. 5Substitute for a docking station I purchased a 6 ft and a 10 ft cable. I use them to play my MP3 (Zune) player through my stereo systems. These could also be used on a TV with audio inputs.Using these through my stereo's allows me to control things (via remote control) like volume, mute etc., but will not allow me to skip over a selection I don't feel like listening to at the moment.By selecting random play on my MP3, I can produce an ecclectic session of music.I may be missing out on some functions available on a docking station, but I still have about $100 in my wallet. I guess you get what you pay for. I am getting all I need by using these cables with my stereos. The cables themselves, are performing well. No hissing or popping sounds. 5Cheap price, cheap quality. If you intend to plug these in and leave them, they'll be ok, but I wouldn't get them if you need something more rugged. They're ... thin. The wire is thin like a set of cheap headphones, but it get the job done. The metal "collars" on the RCA plugs are thin (as in several sheets of tin-foil), but strong enough to do their job. I was worried about having a short in the wire when I first looked at them, but they carry sound well with no problems. For the price, you can't do any better, but if you need something more durable, something that could travel with or plug/unplug frequently don't get these. 3Well made unit, We have a Marantz 4300 wanting to use a MP3 player hook up, this works great. Plus in the MP3, wires into phono jacks in the back of unit, works great. Well made piece too. 5Right Gear for the Right Price The RiteAV 6ft 3.5mm to Stereo RCA male cable is exactly what many podcasters, audiophiles and tinkerers will need for their audio setup. It is cheap and does the job without any major problems. Sure, you could opt to spend more on a "super gold-plated awesome-infused wire", but, for the average person this will work just fine. The best part is, because the price is so low, if it breaks or stops working, it isn't going to break the bank to replace it.This wire is something all audio producers and hobbyists should have. In fact, they should have spare ones too, as a person can't find too many uses for them. 4A second review A few days ago I wrote a review that was not complimentary because I ordered this product on January 13 and I had not received it during the time period established by seller. The product arrived on January 28, several days past the promised delivery period. I guess sometimes shipments are delayed during transit. The cable works and I am happy with the product. The quality of the product appears very good. Like any other cable, durability cannot be easily determined after only a day of use.I think I would NOT have written that first review if I had received the product during the promised delivery time period. I think the seller could do everyone a favor by giving the buyer a way to track their order. 4A wire for sound needs only a wire for sound. This is the third time I have bought a cable on Amazon, from multiple suppliers, that was less than a couple bucks (HDMI, DVI). Everytime I have gotten exactly what I expected: A cable that is not as heavy and insulated as the name brand ones but worked exactly as the more expensive cables. After I read a review that said "All that is going across these wires is a signal, nothing else", it made sense to me that I should not invest the money in a thicker, heavier cable. This set is no different. I hooked this up to my iPod, ran it to a 6 year old stereo system (it had an Audio Video In), and for about two bucks I turned a previously useless, very nice stereo system, into a iPod dock that is better than systems ranging in upwards of 600$.I turned it up as loud as it would go, and I had no distortion. The signal being delivered is analog. Why pay more for the type of delivery, when the end is always going to be the same?If you are considering this, look no further. This is exactly what you want. 5Really, what do you expect? It took a while, but I finally got around to trying this out, and it worked OK for the most part. Materials and construction seem to be pretty standard for cabling in this price range. The bits felt a little cheap, but seemed durable enough for most uses. And at around six feet, you won't be wiring things up from across the room, but it should be long enough for most applications. The sound quality was decent, though neither of the devices I used was exactly a high-precision instrument and I'm not an audio fanatic, so your mileage may vary.My biggest (and, really, only) complaint is that the wiring is a bit loose at the junction with the 3.5mm connector, and cut out if the cable was moved just so. Normally, that would be a bigger detriment, but since it's an RCA adapter, once the devices are connected, there's usually not much reason to be moving them. So the defect doesn't come into play that much. And at these prices, that it worked at all and didn't start a fire already puts it well ahead. So I guess, basically, what I'm saying I wouldn't rely on these if your job depended on it. But if you just want to run your mp3 player or phone output into the TV or something, you might as well pick one of these up. With sales tax and gas money, it's a better deal than driving out to the dollar store. 3Incredibly good product, with very good customer service. First, the cable shipped very quickly. Within a day or two of being sent out for shipping. When I first received the product, It didn't work after 1 day of heavy use. The sound fuzzed out to nothing the next morning. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me a new one. This one has been working with no problems. The cable isn't gold plated in the picture, but all 3 connections were gold plated on both of the units I was sent. There is no audio quality loss from this. It truly is a perfect product for the price. 5CABLE male 3.5 mm plug to dual stereo phono plugs This inexpensive AUDIO cable is your basic six foot long 3.5 mm Stereo plug to Stereo phono plug cable. I am using it to connect the subwoofer output of an ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen 3 motherboard on a PC to the dual RCA phono inputs on a KLH Bassbox V subwoofer. There are probably a hundred other different uses for this cable, but this cable allowed me to easily connect a subwoofer to a PC. Plug the RCS cable into the SW out (3.5 mm) on the PC and the red RCA phono plug to the right channel and the white RCA phono plug to the left channel. Since this is a powered subwoofer, I think only just 1 channel is needed, so I am not sure why the dual phono plug inputs are provided. I suspect that the separate right and left subwoofer inputs simply provides extra shielding for a clearer signal. 5
