Customer Reviews

Fantastic and just what I had hoped for!I read all of the reviews, and I mean ALL, and was super confused about the product. The product description seemed to be everything I was looking for, but the reviews were so mixed, I didn't know what to do. In the end, I thought to myself that i would order them and if they weren't for me, I would just return them. Thankfully, I didn't have to! They are exactly what I was looking for. My purpose for them: under the cabinet lighting without cumbersome and ugly wiring. They are bright enough to prepare food under. They have thre settings, bright, dim, off. They do not blind the kids looking up at them from another angle. They actually look sleek and modern. The lights don't have that dreaded blue tinge as Christmas LED lights have. Some people have complained that the batteries don't last long, but I'm not sure what they are using them for and for how long. I use them about 3 or 4 times a day for 10 minute stretches, and after a week, they are still going strong. They have 2 ways to mount them. With screws or with Velcro. I opted for the Velcro. Whatever method you use, the lights are easy to dismount in order to get to the battery compartment and change them. If I were to use these more often and had to change tons of batteries (6 AAA batteries) I would probably just get a battery charger and 12 rechargeable batteries in order not to be wasteful. All in all, I would absolutely, undoubtedly, without hesitation recommend these for daily under-cabinet lighting. Just as with everything, don't forget to turn them off when you are done! 5Looks Professional & Needs to Be Professional Mounted TooI mounted this on the inside of my closet above my head, where you can't see it. Turned on, it looks very much like an expensive lighting system. Automatically upgrades your closet and helps you find things easier if lighting is a problem. Individual bulbs rotate and tilt easily. And even better, no drilling or mounting required! Comes with velcro stickers that you can mount to the wall & to the light track & then just push the track on to stick. And we're talking heavy duty velcro. Has a power button that if you hit once gives you the brightest light, hit twice, dimmer light, hit third time, turns it off. Runs with batteries, a decent amount, I believe 6 or 8 AAA. Which is why I opted for rechargeable batteries & purchased double the amount needed for this light track so I always have a charged set available. There's endless possibilities for this product; under kitchen cabinets, storage spaces...UPDATE: While these look amazing, I couldn't get them to stay up. First couple weeks, I was in love. Then they kept falling down, I'm guessing since you are constantly touching them to turn on/off. Tried my closest walls, kept falling. Moved to the kitchen, underside of kitchen cabinets; kept falling. While the Velcro was super strong, which wasn't the issue, the lights were too heavy for the adhesive to stick.IN SUMMARY: If you don't have commitment issues like me & know for sure where you want to put these lights & keep them there = drill the mount on the wall; these are the lights for you. If you don't own a drill or can't drill holes where you would want to put these = pass! 5Decent, versatile lightFirst, the bad. It's not that bright. I've had plenty of LED-based products (flashlights, lanterns, emergency lighting, etc.) and they all worked wonderfully and were nice and vibrant. This product in particular is very dim and dull in comparison to all of them, so definitely keep that in mind. Don't get me wrong, the output is okay and isn't the worst thing in the world, but I just wish it had a bit more oomph. That being said, the rest of the device works great. I love that it's battery powered and super portable. The fact that each light head swivels and can be angled is very, very handy as well and helps increase the range of light. These features alone make it a lifesaver for power outages. As for everyday activities, it's great for getting light into the various nooks and crannies of your house (i.e., under the kitchen, closets, crawlspaces, etc.). It's also pretty stylish; it feels cheap and plastic-y, but at least it looks great.Overall, I'd recommend it, just keep in mind that the pictures on Amazon make it seem brighter than it actually is. Also, be sure to pick up some stronger straps if you want to hang it on the wall without drilling holes; the included velcro strips are very low quality and fell apart on me within a couple weeks of use. 4Perfect for vanity!!Love this light super easy to install and is very BRIGHT! Perfect for my lady's vanity I put together for her! A must have! 5UPDATED REVIEW: Lights Die After 2 Days12/20/15 - Updated review: I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star because of the problems I have with these lights. I purchased a total of 24 cabinet lights and all 24 of them use up the batteries within 1-2 days of installing new batteries. After 1 day the lights are so dim you can't see anything in the cabinets and by day 2 the lights are dead. We at first thought this was a result of using cheap batteries, so we bought Duracell's to test this theory, but again after 1 day the lights were extremely dim and by day 2 the lights were dead again. So we are 100% confident it's not a battery issue. I am returning all 24 lights and hope the seller refunds my money. I'm very disappointed because these lights were perfect for inside my cabinets to showcase my huge rock and mineral collection. BTW - the inside of each cabinet is 18 inches by 27 inches, so the issue isn't the size of the area I'm lighting up within each cabinet. I've provided a picture to show the cabinet size these lights are being used in.Original review: I bought these lights to install inside cabinets to showcase my rock and mineral collection. I like that there are two settings, dim and bright. I also like that I can swivel each light head around to highlight different areas inside each cabinet. The only complaint I have is that we opted to use the sticky tape to adhere them to the cabinets instead of screwing them in and out of the 12 lights installed 10 of them didn't stay stuck to the cabinet walls. All 10 fell down within hours of installing them. But I'm still very pleased with them and just bought 13 more today. 1Five Stars 5~~Easy to install/Price is Right/Lots of Light~~Living in a log cabin and having asked an electrician about putting a light on the center ridge pole, I knew that I wasn't going to pay over $2000 to get a light installed there. I tried a couple of round ones but was constantly having to change the batteries. Then, I spotted this on Amazon, ordered it and love it so far. Lots of light, easy to install and a lot of light, too. I have vision problems and am kicking myself for not buying this previously. I told my cousin to get one for when the power goes off during a storm. Much safer than a kerosene lamp and longer lasting than regular battery operated lights. Plus, you can put it where you want it to be used. Most highly recommended. 5Just so soI was happy to have found something that would fit under my cabinets, since my kitchen is not well lit. Well, I am dissapointed that mounting this is the biggest issue. I did not want to permanently affix it, because the batteries need to be changed. But the two holes that affix to the plate are very difficult to line up upside down, and one of the two I bought will not stay mounted no matter what I do. Thus, I only have one up & the other sits on the side in case the power goes out. The batteries fade quickly. I bought Amazon batteries, and they must have been old, but one of my fixtures is very dim after only using it a few times. The two part switch is also not functioning properly, perhaps because once the battery runs down, only one level of operation is available. This is fine if you only use it sparingly if on batteries. If I wanted to have it installed, (more costly) I would have bought the one with the power cord. 3Ideal solution for under the kitchen cabinetsI am renting a huge old Victorian house with 12 foot ceilings. The kitchen has one light-a round florescent fixture waaaaaay up on the ceiling whose light is so weakly tepid and brown that makes a prison mess hall seem inviting by comparison. Rather than trying to re-invent the wheel and rewire the kitchen so I can create satisfactory ambiance, I am creating "area lighting" in the kitchen. I have 2 high cabinets over my kitchen sink and if I use the counter or sink under them in the evening, it's like working in the dark. When I first moved in, I bought one RiteLite as an experiment to see how the power was for the area in question. After a week of use, I ordered a second RiteLite-so I have 1 set for under each cabinet. Wow! I love these. There are 4 adjustable spots on each set and the light they put out (adjustable brightness, too!) is perfect for my needs. Since I do not rely on these little guys to illuminate the kitchen, just light up a small area, I have no complaints about the type or amount of light they give. It's a cool blue-white light and quite appropriate for washing dishes, chopping vegetables or plating food. No complaints about batteries being "sucked dry" in a few days since these are only on for specific tasks. I have had one up for 3 months, use it every night and it's still going strong. My only beef, thus 4 stars instead of 5, was getting these installed. It could just be my lack of drill skills, of course. It made no sense to put something like this up with velcro, so I used screws for the under cabinet installation. After a lot of cursing and stopping and starting the drill, and using a nail pounded in under the cabinets to make starter holes, I finally got these up. It was not fun, the screws are tiny and it probably took longer than necessary, but they are up and I doubt the light will tumble down any time soon.Summary-if you use these lights appropriately, don't put them up with velcro, and get an adept person to put in the screws, you will have a great lighting solution for dark spots. 4Bright, But Not For LongWell I bought this to light up a curio cabinet with figures in it. I was amazed by just how much light there was emitting from the unit. Upon first glance it looks kind of cheap with a plastic look and feel to it.. After placing the batteries that came with it and installing it with the 3m velcro strips I quickly found out out horrible the 3m strips were. It fell down 6 times in one day.. So I decided to try the other method and screwed the mounting bracket in to mount it. It too, fell off multiple times. I ended up just laying it down flat behind everything so that I didn't have to worry about it falling constantly. Before the end of the first day, roughly 7 hours of use on high it had gotten so dim that it was time to change the batteries. I figured it was just because batteries that normally come with the product are normally rubbish and added rechargeable duracell nimh batteries in it. Had them fully charged mind you. I was able to get 10 hours of use and then they died.. So for long term use it's complete rubbish. If you just need something for occasional light like a closet, basement, wherever it's fine. Otherwise keep plenty of batteries handy and try and find another way to mount it. Defeats the purpose of having light handy really. You would be better off to get this instead: Lighting EVER Lampux 12V Flexible LED Strip Lights, LED Tape, Daylight White, Waterproof, 300 Units 3528 LEDs, Light Strips, Pack of 5M . It's REALLY BRIGHT and uses very little power, it can be easily separated and mounted.Pros:Plenty of lightHigh & Low SettingsLights swivel and move in various directionsCons:Takes 6AAA BatteriesBatteries Drain FastWont stay up with 3m strips OR Mounting BracketLooks "Cheap"Batteries are a pain to remove and put in 3
