Good but expensive Comfort, well put-together, built tough. Sound quality deserves some more clarity. Not worth anymore than $100 if i'm honest. 4Perfect Solution for Three Needs - Highest Recommendation! This product was the perfect solution for me. I have a Tiamat 7.1 analog surround headset which is another great product, but very much unsuitable for use with a Mac either for audio or as a headset because of the assorted wires meant for use with a surround sound audio card, which an iMac obviously does not have. I needed either a USB or single plug analog headset to replace it. I also had a need for some high quality over the ear headphones (I also have some Razer Adaro earbuds which are excellent as well) and a stereo headset for use with my Xbox One. A single product to satisfy all three needs was the perfect solution. The price was gravy, I got these at a significant price reduction. I was wary of some of the reviews that complained of one side or another not working, but this has not been the case for me. I've used these cans with my iPod as well as my laptop to listen to music and watch movies and the sound quality is great. Just keep in mind that the reviews that suggest that maximum volume can be painful are absolutely correct. I've used these cans to listen to music and game audio on my iMac and they sound great. I have yet to try it with the Xbox One because I haven't found any retailers with a stereo adapter in stock but I expect that it will work great in this capacity as well. The MSRP of $300 seems a little high, but considering that these can be used as a legitimate replacement for three separate products that could easily exceed $500 justifies the cost. Any price reduction makes these a steal. The build quality is outstanding as is typical with any Razer product, and the carrying case is very useful. The Razer Kraken Forged Edition earns my highest recommendation. 5NO MIC TO TALK ON THIS HEADSET WORKS GREAT BUT YOU CANNOT SPEAK TO PEOPLE WITH IT. JUST WISH IT HAD A MIC TO TALK ON CONNECTED TO IT. I DO NOT EVEN SEE A PLACE/HOLE/OUTLET ON IT TO BE ABLE TO ADD A MIC TO IT UNLESS I AM MISSING IT. Great sound! Great sound and super comfortable. My son never takes them off and says his head doesn't hurt like it did with his other (very expensive Dr. model) headphones. He says the sound is much better as well. He loves them. 5They aren't Bluetooth, or noise canceling. But WHO CARES with this sound. So I'm getting railed on by a Diskin rep for all of my reviews being either five stars or one star. Which of course means I'm a paid reviewer. Or so I am being accused. I am kind of hoping he reads this one on a good set of head phones. These may not be Bluetooth, or noise canceling, or selling for 50 bucks. But what they are, good head phones. Lol 5It's good, but could be better the build quality of this thing is just amazing, really, best build quality you will ever find ever (i think) but my only complaint would be the sound can be not what you would expect, i guess, also, for gaming, do not use it without Razer Surround, else you might end up really disappointed, and in music is okay... i guess? 3Great sound These headphones will last for awhile because most of it is made out of metal and the feeling and sound is great. Bass is great. Would buy another if it wasn't to expensive. 4Solid sounding, and solid feeling. As someone that plays video games and listens to a lot of music, these headphones are the perfect fit. Especially for someone always on the go. I use them while sitting at my desk playing video games for hours on end. I switch to the inline mic and control cable when I go out. They are a bit more bass heavy than something from Sennheiser or any other reference style headphone. But that's the Razer style. The build quality is top notch. The diamond cut aluminum still gleams after months of use and nothing rattles or has broken. My only qualm with them is they can be uncomfortable after long periods of time because of the shallow ear cups and hard headband. 4Durable, Bass, but tight grip Great headphones over all. There are pros and cons to these type of headphones. They are meant for gaming. So the bass is more of a punch instead of a boom. After breaking in the headphones for 2-3 days the audio becomes more clear and more precise on reproducing sound. The vocals is well rounded for gaming headphones, the bass is very punchy/deep, and the over all sound is well deserving of a 4/5 for me. Now on to design. The cord seems to be durable with a lockable input on the headphones themselves which is a plus for most people. The inline mic comes in handy and works on phones or gaming consoles of course. The padding on the ear cups are nice and soft. But there's one con. The headphones will feel very tight and will bring discomfort if you plan on wearing these for 1-3 hours. But a little breaking in will loosen the grip on your head. Other pros are that these are very durable. The case is satisfactory and ill leave it at that. All metal construction is a major plus if your accident prone and quite a comfortable headband. If your looking for gaming headphones. Give these a try after breaking them in. You might enjoy them like i have. 4
