Stopped workingI bought two of these flashlights a couple of months ago for my daughters prior to a camping trip. One of them is working great and we really like it. The other one, however, stopped working after 5 weeks and is no longer functional. It started not turning all the way off and was draining batteries by staying on a super dim mode. Then, after changing the batteries twice, we found that it wouldn't turn on any brighter than the very dim mode. Disappointing, especially considering that it was not abused, dropped, or drowned. 2Powerful beamI've bought 4 of these now. Use them when taking the dog for a walk at night. The high beam goes surprisingly far. There are 2 powers and you need the lower one to look at things up-close. The high beam is to strong for up-close. Also I let my dog carry the flashlight home sometimes and consequently it gets dropped. No problem - it's pretty tough. 5Remember where you put this for power outages - comes in so handy!I don't want to sound like a hoarder, but I don't think you could have too many of these. Once I discovered their sturdiness, ease of use and reliability, I started to acquire them for the glove compartments in cars, drawers in bedside tables, and in easily accessible and remembered spots in each room, should the power go out unexpectedly. I live in an area where there are at least two major hurricanes every year, so power outages are inevitable. Fits easily in your hand, doesn't take up too much room on a table, and provides steady, bright light. 5Great little lightThis is a great little flashlight for the price. It's very bright and very sturdy. I'm not so sure how long I'll last if you're using it on high, the batteries will probably burn out pretty quick. Just bring an extra set on hand. This is a good night and a good backup for sure. It's no Streamlight but it's a nice one. I have 2 of these flashlights in the double A battery style and I like those as well. You should know this is pretty fat because it does take three double a batteries 5It is like holding a Torch!!!I t really well made ......since it has two intensity of lights the low consumption type work perfect for almost any normal activity ....but if you need mor power.... you will be amazed!!....It si so far the most potent led flashlight that I ever had...and belive me I am a kind o flaxk light freak.....Of couse ther ar more powerful flashlight but not for this price.Something to keep in account is the weight .......it has a normal weight for this type of flashlights but if you are use to the normla one you will feel it kind of heavy...but for me is pefect because give you the feeling of holding a well made lamp. 5Good light for your purposeI live in prime CA quake country. Went through the '89 Loma Prieta quake and power outage. At the time I relied on a Maglite 3D cell flashlight, which served me very well. Still have that light but technology improved and I've improved my quake kit in several ways. With regards to flashlights, several years ago I added the Rayovac SE3AAAMN-BA 1-Watt Sportsman LED Mini Flashlight with 3AAA Batteries to my kit. It is superior to my Maglite in that it has two light/power settings, the higher one nearly matched the reach of the Maglite. The SE3 is MUCH smaller, fits in a shirt or pant pocket, even can be held in my mouth if necessary, and has a much brighter/whiter light.I recently added the Rayovac DIY3AAA-B Indestructible 3 AAA Flashlight to my kit.The reason I did so was because it also has two light/power settings. The high beam is much brighter (lower burn time) the low beam is less bright than the SE3 (longer burn time). Both are important and have their advantages in an emergency situation. For me burn time is an important consideration. Also I haven't investigated the new Maglite LED's due to their cost. 4Great Value Tough Duty FlashlightI love these flashlights. They aren't the brightest on the market, but for the money they are an unbeatable value.I've absolutely tortured the ones I own and they just keep working. I keep one in my car, one in the shop, and one in the nightstand.I've given two as gifts to family members who were complaining about more expensive flashlights breaking down on them.I even used one in a play at a local community theater in a dark scene where two characters are fighting over the flashlight and it gets knocked to the ground repeatedly. Night after night, for the ten show run, it never failed.If you need a rugged, dependable, bright flashlight that just does what it's supposed to, this ones for you. 5ExcellentThere are several similar but different sized and different battery power units from RayOVac, and all from this "Indestructible" series all work well. Some newer products have even brighter lights but are much more expensive and sometimes a blinding light is not desirable. Very reliable, very tuff, good illumination. We have several of this series, some like this one and some larger / brighter, and they are our workhorse flashlights for home and cars. Pay more for "tactical" flashlights and such if you need that, but for 99% of people, these are super and priced well. 5I really like the quality of the light and the fact that ...I have bought several tactical flash lights from Amazon that are advertised as being 1000 lumens. This little light is brighter than them. My 2 yr old gr son is rough on equipment but so far he has not been able to destroy this one so I bought him 2 more. I really like the quality of the light and the fact that it dosnt have but 2 settings. Bright and dim. The bright is super bright and the dim is a good walking light. Will probably keep buying these instead of the junk so called tactical lights 5Little Jewel by RAYOVACThis little palm sized beauty exceeded my expectations by far. It packs a powerful stream of light for it's size and price. It's beam unlike others fills your immediate space with plenty of light but can also light up a target from a distance. 5
