TV's signal OK, DLP Projector's Video has Jitters. Hi:This is my SECOND of #__ HDMI Splitters. The first one made by Fosmon a 1to2 workedfine on my DLP Projector, but the HDTV's Video was degraded (rainbow black dots in bright/whiteareas) and the HDMI signal was missing the audio portion to the HDTV.This SANOXY one works perfectly fine on my HDTV, good crisp video and audio; BUT theVideo signal on the DLP Projector is all JITTERY, with diagonal lines and faded, off colors. It's like the timing on the HDMI signal is off. I tried selecting other resolution's on mysource, a Samsung BluRay DVD player (480P - 1080i), but they all look the same JITTERYvideo, with exception to the 1080i signal which was "out-of-range". Cycling power, and/orinputs/outputs and even if I disconnect everything else from this 1to4 HDMI splitter, theDLP Projector's video still is all JITTERS. When I go around the 1to4 splitter directly tothe BluRay's HDMI output, the DLP Projector's video looks GREAT. I have tried a bunchof different cables before and after the 1to4 splitter with the same results. HDTV'svideo/audio FINE, DLP Projector's video all JITTERY!!Never thought this would be such a hard thing to do, splitting one HDMI output to 2 devices, aHDTV & DLP Projector. I guess I'll be sending this one back too, and trying another HDMI Splitter.Hopefully one of these splitters will like both of my display devices.Gregory Gately (K9OY)Brookfield, Il. 60513 2I bought these splitters 4 months ago and they perform ... I bought these splitters 4 months ago and they perform so poorly I am now going to have to replace them all. I had a lightening strike that burnt out my old splitters and subsequently replaced them with these. The old splitters worked flawlessly. When I replaced them with these, I have been nothing but trouble. For one when any one turns on a television all of the splitters go dead for about 15 seconds. That means when someone turns on or off a TV in the bedroom the TV's in the family room, kitchen, etc go blank for about 15 seconds. Also under many circumstances they fail to pass through the audio component of the signal. If you turn the source on and off that often coerces the audio trouble. I would encourage any one interested in this product to look for a higher quality one. 1Laptop to Monitors -- Have to reset sound Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Hooked this up to HDMI port of Laptop and output to two LCD computer monitors (not full TV's). Works great, get good picture on both monitors, except sound on laptop does not work. Can see pictures fine, but get no audio. I think this device assumes you are using this with a full TV and not with just a monitor. As soon as you plug the splitter HDMI cable into the laptop, there is no sound. The speakers attached to the laptop stop making sound. When you unplug it the sound comes back. If this was laptop to two televisions, probably no problem since TV's have their own audio player. Monitors rely on laptop for audio, but this appears to disable laptop audio.Anyway, I need to see if there is a fix for this or return it.OK, now I fixed it. I went into the laptop/windows control panel and selected sound. When I opened sound I saw that either this product or a new monitor I purchased to use with it had installed a new sound speaker which the laptop defaulted to whenever the HDMI cable was plugged in. I fixed this by clicking on the new sound speaker and under properties disabling it. Then the sound came back on. So my problem is solved.Actually, I do not know whether my problem was caused by a new HDMI computer monitor I purchased to use with the splitter or by the splitter. The new HDMI computer monitor was plugged into an output jack of the splitter. All I know is that when I plugged the input cable of the splitter into the laptop, the sound stopped working. The above of going in to the laptop control panel and disabling the new speaker is the fix.So I give this 4 stars because with the above fix everything is working perfectly - sound, picture, everything. 4Worked Well but Failed After 1 Month This unit worked well with no issues with video or audio driving three TV's, but it failed after one month. The power LED illuminates but neither the input nor any of the four output LED's illuminate and there is no video or audio to any device. The unit is said to have a one year warranty, but there is no manufacturer or warranty information anywhere on the the unit, the box, or the small three page instruction booklet. The only printing anywhere is the words "HDMI Splitter" and some certification stamps. I will contact the seller and attempt to get it replaced. The Amazon page for this item shows a different seller than the seller who shipped my item. So here goes. More later. Due to very poor reliability and the lack of information about the quoted one year warranty, this item is not recommended period. 1HDMI Spliter Update 8/28/2016: Beware: I used it for about a year and half but along the way it seemed to interfere with something and was passing the images with lines. It was making it seem like my tv was having issues, but instead it was this splitter that wasn't transferring the image clearly. So beware! I had to stop using it and just put my tv box directly to my tv. This unit seems to over heat.Super High Tech! My fiance use to work for DirecTv back in 2007, I remember him asking himself ( why haven't they invented an spiltter of hdmi because his customers drove him crazy wanting him to split the signal, so they won't pay for an extra receiver . Now I showed him this HDMI splitter port 1x4 4port 1080p when it arrived. he was still in denial, until he actually installed it himself and saw for himself that it worked wonderfully. =D.... Now he says this is one of the best technology they have ever invented. 3Works fine (while it works) but longevity will always be a concern I purchased this splitter awhile back (11/2014) and it just started failing. I suppose I shouldn't be complaining since it was only $18 and it has lasted 18 months-ish but this is a piece of equipment that I would gladly pay more for if the quality was higher. I think all of these HDMI splitters are made in China and just aren't made to last. I think to maximize unit life, a cabinet cooling system should be installed along with a beefier power supply as this thing seemed to run better with more juice. All in all I guess you can't complain about something that costed so little but I'd still prefer a pricier alternative that was a little more robust. 3Don't Let Them Switch Products on You! The actual Portta brand HDMI Splitter w/power button is great. I bought one in 2013 and it lasted 2 years (which is a decent length of time for these kinds of things that are powered on most of the time. I bought a different brand that had no power button in November 2015 which lasted only a few months. I have found that powering off the unit from time to time extends its usefulness. Anyway, I once again ordered a Portta in January 2016 and was happy to get what I wanted. Then just to have a backup unit for the future, I ordered a second unit this month (February). I was not aware that my reorder was from a different vendor. This time, despite the label indicating a Portta brand HDMI Splitter, I received a generic brand with no power button that looked nothing like the unit advertised on Amazon. I am returning it for a refund. I have since re-ordered from the previous vendor I had in January. 4Doesn't work with ALL output devices (i.e. Slingbox 500) I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but this doesn't work with ALL display/output devices. I have two TVs (one 1080 and the other 720) which worked fine. However, I also have a Slingbox 500 that I wanted to connect, and that wouldn't detect any signal at all. I disconnected both TVs and connected the slingbox with the same HDMI cable that worked on one of the TVs, and still nothing. Finally I hooked up another splitter I had (the mini version PET0104MP from the same manufacturer) and that worked flawlessly with all three devices attached. I don't know if there's something wrong with the engineering or if maybe I got a defective unit, but it's going back and I guess I'll order another PET0104MP...or maybe go with the Sewell that someone else recommended... 2Its 1 input 4 output hdmi It works perfectly fine I've been using it on 3 vizio led tvs for almost 3 years now and have had 0 issues. I recently moved locations and upon removing the power adapter the prongs broke off in the outlet. Rather than to kill myself i contacted seller and asked to purchase a new one and they sent me a new better one free!! I was being finicky about shipping cuz it took like 5 days but thats pretty fast considering it came from kowloon china and they covered the $8 international shipping charge to get it to me. Thank you guys!! 5Using to share TiVo with 3 TVs in 3 different rooms I have 3 HD TVs in 3 different rooms to which I wanted to connect the same HD TiVo. One of the TVs does not support hdmi, the other two do.I have previously tried a 4x2 True Matrix High Speed HDMI Powered Switch w/ Remote Controller (HDMI x.v. Color) but had problems with the TiVo showing errors on the non hdmi connected tv such as "hdmi output not supported / permitted" when none of the hdmi TVs were turned on. To resolve one would have to turn on/off the TVs in a certain order which became very annoying.I have had this device for 3 weeks now with no such problems. A 30 foot hdmi runs from the TiVo to this splitter, then a 15 foot hdmi Runs to a Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System and then to an Apex LCD. A separate 10 meter hdmi runs from this box to a 32" vizio. Picture looks great on all 3 TVs with digital sound when available from source.Component video and optical Audio are used to connect the tv in the same room as the TiVo. 5
