    Even with the signal booster, it's STILL not enough. I purchased this cord to power my classroom SMARTboard with my desk and computer in the back of the class. I had to run the cords up into the ceiling, over the tiles, and back down in the back of the room. I searched for a cord with the right length and a signal booster to ensure I had enough power to run my electronics, but this one just didn't cut it. I don't have enough juice to operate my board.It may be that my SMARTboard is a fairly old model. Certain other USB devices will still work from that distance. My board, however, does not.Since it does allow some of my electronics to function, I can't give it a 1. Since I only bought it for my board, and it won't work there, I can't give it a 5. If I can get a board to work, I'll be happy to update my review with better numbers. Until then, meh. 3Works as a HTC Vive headset extension. I can confirm that this extension (32 ft) works for the Vive headset using the following set-up:PC -> This Product, Active USB extension -> original vive USB cord -> Vive Link Box -> original vive headset cords.*Note is is important that the active USB extension is plugged into the PC so that it is powered, it won't work if the original USB is plugged into the PC and the extension is run from that.I have had no issues with lag using this extension (with the original vive USB cord, which totals to a 35 ft extension).The only issue I had, through no fault of the product itself, was that the female end of the extension was wider than expected and did not fit through the 1 1/4" PVC tube (inside diameter 1") I have running through a wall for the purpose of getting the cord into another room. The female extension end is just a small amount wider than 1". 5Works Very Well. Researched the maximum length of a USB 2.0 Cable (Extension) and it is 5m (16'). This cable advertised an Active 'repeater' that would allow greater distance. I took a chance since I needed to get about 25' from my device to a location where the wi-fi mouse would connect. Works great. The cable is well shielded and constructed, seems very sturdy. It is outside in the garage so should get an idea of durability after a few years (that's why I gave it a medium score). I'm very pleased and would recommend. 535' USB Extension Cable - Works OK - Needs Work Most of the time you never need an extension cable, as all USB devices that are plugged into your computer, are used right at the desk. But sometimes you have that printer that is on the other side of the room, maybe you need a USB extension cable to reach? Infact, I am using a 10' USB extension cable for my printer right now, and I have no problems with it!A lot of times, after a hard days work, I like to relax when I get home. So what I did is I routed a video and audio cable to my bedroom, this way I can watch movies and the like. Unfortunately, without computer control, you can't pause your movie if you need to. Or even worse, what if one of those annoying computer popups come up just to annoy you? So, thats why I bought these cables!These cables are actually very nice, they are a little dark in color, but have a transparent look to them, you can see the metal twinned cable inside the insulation, pretty neat. Incase you are not good at your measurements, 10 meter is 35 feet, so its the perfect amount of cord to go from one room to the other, provided your other room is right next to the computer room.I am using one of those cord thresholds to keep all the cords in place, that way I don't trip over them. Everything is plug and play, just connect the cables to your PC or MAC, and then connect the keyboard and mouse to them at the other end. Now there are some devices that won't work good on a cord this long, mainly digital camera's and the like.However, for simple keyboards and mice, this cables work great! I was able to totally control my computer as if I was right in front of it. I have already watched several movies and navigated the internet with them. For simple things like keyboards and mice, I highly recommend them, 5-STARS.UPDATE: 11-20-11Since I got these cables, I was using them to operate a keyboard, mouse, and a card reader device. I was able to operate the keyboard, mouse, and card reader all this time just fine.However, though the keyboard and mouse still operate properly with these cords, all of the sudden, the card reader no longer functions.I have actually attached my card reader to my PC's port itself, to find out weather or not it was the card reader, or SD card itself. Nope, it was most certainly the cords.These cords seem to be made of high quality, they are quite thick, so I can't understand why they would work one day, and not the next.My rating is now 4 out of 5. 4Works great for my Logitech HD C920 My need for this cable was to operate a very good USB2 HD 1080p camera (Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, 1080p Widescreen Video Calling and Recording) from across a room. On receipt of the cable I was a bit put off by its packaging, which demurred regarding its use with USB2 cameras. It thought about sending it back unopened, but decided it was worth a try. In a nutshell, using a USB2 port both with and without this extension, there was no discernible difference in performance that I could detect. I recorded from the camera at 1080p with voice (from the camera's dual microphones), a pretty good subjective test. It may be that Logitech's camera is just that good and maybe the cable won't work that well for all USB2 cameras, but for my money it is a 5-star product. 5Long cable works great! 30 feet is a long distance for a reliable usb signal. Used to use 15 foot high quality cables with a powered hub at the beginning and end and extend it another 15 feet and add another hub then attach what I was going to use with it to the hub at the end. It worked. When I saw these cables I was not sure they could do as well as my cables and hubs. When I connected this cable I used it on a usb3 port so it would have enough power for the cable itself and power for what I attached to the end. I was surprised as it exceeded all my pervious attempts of long usb cables that are about 30 feet long. It works bidirectional with excellent performance. 5USB Cable 32 foot I ordered this cable hoping it would work for what I wanted it to. I use the cable to connect my Canon 700D ( T5i ) and my laptop. The laptop is a older ACER that has USB 2.0 so this cable should work fine. When I tried the cable the first time it worked just perfectly !I do nature Photography as a hobby. I'm fully disabled so it's not easy to do but just recently my wife decided to get involved in photography. I had upgraded from a Canon Rebel XS to the 700D , I thought at first I'd keep the XS as a spare camera but when she found out I had upgraded she asked for the older camera. So now I have someone to enjoy my hobby with and also someone to carry some of the equipment. I have severe heart problems and can't carry much weight , my wife does this for me now and it works great. Sorry, I digress , we use the Plugable cable to connect the laptop with the Canon software installed to the camera. This makes it possible to be 30 or so feet away from the camera and see what the lens is seeing and control the camera as far as shutter speed and aperture size go. This way we are 30 or so feet away and don't disturb the insects or small animals we photograph. The camera must already be pointed in the right spot but this cable helps so much. I've had some other photographers tell me that the cables they buy don't work at these kind of distances but this cable is a Active cable , that means some of the power in the USB cable itself is used to boost the distance that a signal can be pushed down this 30 foot length. I made sure to try it many times and on both cameras and it works wonderfully in all instances !!!! I'm really happy this cable is available . Some cameras may require a more powerful signal than my Canon so I can only speak to the use of the cable with Canon products. 5Cable works perfect for my use, WebCam extension I use this cable for my DJ broadcast with a WEBCAM. The cable has worked fine for a couple of months and it failed. Upon checking the warranty it expired the previous day. I was disappointed that the cable stopped working and posted my review of the product, which was originally 1 star. I really didn't want to go through another replacement with an Amazon order(I have another problem with another company for a different product), so I was going to write it off as a loss since the cable was not expensive. Well the next day the company contacted me (Roz) and was concerned the cable had failed and apologized that it had failed, something that is not common with their products but it happens. They offered to send me a new replacement cable! This has been the most memorable experience that I have had with a companies customer service on Amazon, and I wish other companies would take note. Good customer service goes a long way and because of it they have gained a loyal customer. I ordered another cable today.DJ Danny T 5Perfect for Oculus Rift Third Sensor This cable has very great quality and more than enough length for my third Oculus Rift sensor. The material feels better than it looks in pictures; it is strong yet flexible and the metal components of the male and female connectors feel as if premium quality. For the current price of $15.95, this is the absolute best option on the market, whether you need it for the Oculus Rift or anything else. I would still recommend this for its full price. 5Does not work well for continuous WiFi adapter use - maybe ok for other non-continuous uses - avoid for wifi !! Love the length (wanted to be able to mount wifi adapter outside) but HATE the fact it will apparently overheat and stop functioning, time and time again - never stays on very long !!I use it for a wifi adapter and it works ok for maybe 15 mins or less then it seems to shut down, and I have to disconnect and reconnect to get it recognized. It does not seem to get great wifi signals either - I think the equalization for the cable length is not engineered well - just thrown together I suspect.I bought 2 (TWO) and they both perform identically-BAD, so I either got 2 bad ones or it is not engineered well - POS !!While I have 2 20 foot extensions that work lovely, just not long enuf - may swap the active ends from older extension to this one and see if it performs differently. 1
