    Disapointed When this cable arrived, it was obvious no care was taken when it was thrown in the box, rattling around on other items in my order. It came tangled! I still expected it to work. Nope. When I plugged it in, I could hardly hear it. I wiggled the jack and it got real loud, and then quiet, and so on. It seems to have a defective plug on it. I was then worried my new stereo was defective, but I tried it with my laptop and different speakers with the same result. Parts express is a good company, but this cable is no go. I am a firm believer in cheap cables, but that may change... I decided not to return it since it was so cheap. 1Perfect! Just what I needed I was actually out on the lake for a week, when my buddy tripped over and broke our aux cable. I was so bummed because as most of you know in the California/Nevada/Arizona area, radio stations on the lake are practically impossible to come by. So I ordered this bad boy, added a little express shipping, and had it in plenty of time to enjoy the rest of trip with clear and wonderful iPod to stereo music. I can't say anything good for the product itself other than I do recall it being fairly inexpensive (even though my super expedited shipping was not, but as one would expect with expedited shipping, lets just hope the postal service doesn't actually go bankrupt and we are all forced to pay excessive shipping rates through the private shipping entities.) Anyway, great shipper, no problems with the transaction, and it was a good aux cable, nothing fancy, but who needs a fancy aux cable anyways? 5At least the length was correct Used to connect a music player to the aux jack in my car stereo. First cable was mono only----only got sound out of my right speakers. Replacement cable they shipped me had a different problem---volume had to be cranked WAY up before you heard anything, and even then the sound was very tinny with no low end. The shorter cable that I was replacing had none of these issues...so I know it's not a problem with my equipment. The seller, however, sent the replacement at no cost and refunded my money promptly when the replacement cable also didn't work. 1The sound quality sound good the length of the wire or quality doesn't seem ... I use this cable to connect my phone to my amp which is connected to my bookshelf speaker, I need the extra length so i can listen to music while on my bed and this is more than enough. The sound quality sound good the length of the wire or quality doesn't seem to affect it which is good if you want a great cheap aux cable. gonna buy again. 5My cats and i enjoy punk rock in my garage now. Works great for the price. I Needed this to connect a small speaker to my pc in my garage while i set stuff on fire and hang out with my cats. I dont use it on the go so I can't speak to how it stands up always being moved and bent around. If you plan on plugging both ends into something and never touching it again, I can assure you it will work. 5I would not recommend it to someone who wants an aux cable for ... This is a cheap cable but worked well while it lasted.Pros- I used this as the aux cable in my car for a couple of months and it let me play music off my phone with a decent level of quality.Cons- Cheap construction. It shorted out after a few months.Conclusion- For the inexpensive price you can't be too critical. This cable worked well while it lasted. I would not recommend it to someone who wants an aux cable for car use but if you wanted to use this cable for an application where it would not move often (connected my record player to a soundbar) I think it would work quite well. 3A good quality cable for the money. This cable does a great job for something that costs less than $5. However, it does have a bit of distortion, and cannot muster very loud volumes (this is also dependent on what you're using it for. I'm using it with a Vizio TV, and depending on what you want to use it for, the volume may be fine).That being said, I was impressed with the build quality-it felt like a good cable that might actually last a few years with normal use; as I have it constantly connected at one end, I suspect it will last quite a long time. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the cable was gold-plated (even though this hardly makes a difference in audio quality, it's something audiophiles and geeks appreciate).All in all, a good deal for the money. This is probably the best 12' cable you can get under $10. (The more you pay, the better quality you get. It's not a studio-quality product, but it gets the job done in most consumer situations.) 4READ THIS. (Updated Review). Avoid this! Will break quickly. Updated: (4/1/16)I was surprised by how inexpensive this product was. Compared to other vendors and similar products, you can expect to spend much more for a similar. Are you getting a better product? YES. A wire is a wire, sure. But when it comes to something this length. Quality is much more important. After about 2 weeks of use and my initial 5 star review, the wire was useless. I had to hold it in just the right place to get it have sound.I needed this length to set up my music studio and was quickly disappointed over time. For this price and this length, it's certainly one of the cheapest. The downside of course is quality. Sure, this is a fraction of the price of a better wire, but there's a reason for that. If you don't feel like replacing this every few weeks, just spend the few extra dollars on initial cost to get a decent wire from the start.Overall it's a cheap deal and works for the very short run. I would not recommend this to anyone who needed a very long male to male stereo 3.5 mm cable. It will inevitably break and die on you. The frustration it will cause alone is worth the difference in cost to cover buying a better made one.Hope this helps. 1Useless for stereo speakers; poorly made (exposed wires!) The cable that came was exactly like the picture one of the other reviewers uploaded -- with just the smallest amount of movement, you could see exposed wires. Due to this, there was a continuous, obnoxious humming sound from the very first time I plugged my laptop into my external speakers. It wasn't even a low hum. It was completely unusable and they were immediately returned for a refund. Don't waste your money.I will say, however, that the customer service for this third-party seller was prompt and helpful in regards to my complaints and gave me a refund pretty much immediately. 1Bought it October 8th 2014 and now January 1st 2016 ... Bought it October 8th 2014 and now January 1st 2016 it's already deadish. I have to use a butterfly clip to fold the wire against the connector to make the sound stable and not a constant buzz. Lasted over a year, but still I expected it to at least last longer since it wasn't doing anything and has been constantly connected. 3
