    Strong standThis worked great for me. It's very strong and when bent, stays in place even with a heavy mic attached. I sit fairly close to the mic, but with the way I wanted to bend the arm to keep mic out of sight, I was afraid a shorter arm wouldn't work and am glad I bought the longer 19".5Really well-made, functional, and durable - Can't beat the price!Really solid yet flexible and holds its shape. If using to connect to 1/4-20 or 3/8 camera or tripod mount, BE SURE to order the 5/8-27 threaded male AND female adapters having the correct male or female threads; this item has only the 5/8-27 male and female threads at the ends (no adapters).If you want a well made functional metal arm that will likely last for decades, this is a great economical choice.5Great for drummers singing.Great addition to a mic stand. I am a drummer and when I m not singing I wanted to be able to throw the mic away quickly, or make adjustments quickly, and this was a great solution. I can get the mic right where I want it quickly without touching the mic stand, which sits behind me. It is a little stiff, which I see people complaining about. Another thing to keep in mind is that when I adjust the mic, it STAYS PUT. Doesn t sag or slowly drop. I actually have problems with my mic stand from time to time doing that, never had an issue with the gooseneck doing that, so the stiffness may be a good thing.4Surprisingly strongI am impressed by the strength and apparent quality of this gooseneck, given how inexpensive it was. Rather than using it to hold a microphone, I have created DIY end brackets for it and have mounted it on the center console of my car (below the stereo) as a flexible cell phone mount. I use my phone to play music via Bluetooth on my car stereo, and it's nice be able to go hands-free and have my phone easily within reach.I have noticed that some reviews allude to the gooseneck not being stiff enough, but in my experience it is surprisingly strong and doesn't droop at all, even when almost fully extended. A microphone might be a bit heavier than my phone, but I'd be surprised if that weight difference would cause this piece to slump.5Stiffer than a wedding prick!Was worried about stiffness after reading reviews... I have NO IDEA what the hell they were talking about! This thing is stiffer than a wedding prick!5Solid and stays in position. A solid piece of gear. The gooseneck stays where you put it and doesn't droop over time. I only have one at the moment, but I plan on buying a few more. Very versatile and great for getting the mic just where you want it. 5Happy with my purchaseI was concerned by some of the reviews that this would be so stiff that I wouldn t be able to bend it how I need it, but that s not the case. It s stiff enough to hold but is flexible. I would suggest bending it into the shape you want first, then attaching it as it s much easier. It is a little heavy for its size, so if you attach it to a boom stand with an adapter be sure to have the balance correct, otherwise it'll tip over the stand. The full range motion of the gooseneck is very good which is why I chose this over another stiff micstand because the mic used with it is moved all the time. 5Works GreatMatched my Atlas mic stand. I thought this would be a comparable replacement for a boom arm. Luckily, I had a spare On Stage MA300 5/8-Inch Male to 3/8-Inch Female Knurled 2 Piece Mic Adapter to screw onto the bottom of this gooseneck to use on my mic stand. The mic clip screws right onto the other end without an adapter. The neck is stiff enough to stay up with a mic attached to it, but flexible enough to adjust for personal preference. If anyone needs to see pics of how I set my mic stand up, I'll be happy to post them. This does exactly what I need it to do! Highly recommended!5Won't hold a Sennheiser wireless handheld microphone This sags under the weight of a Sennheiser wireless handheld microphone (model Evolution3 ew335g3 A.K.A. SKM300g3). But it's slightly stiffer than the Atlas GN13E that I also bought.I ended up putting a 12-inch piece of 8-gauge bare copper wire wire inside of it, which makes it hard to adjust, but it no longer sags. 3
