Here's some instructions for newbies/dummies like me Nuvo 60/305 vanity stripFor newbies to vanity strips like I was who are learning how to replace light fixtures the hard way, the instructions don't make it clear but you have to disassemble it to install it. First you have to unclip the bulb mounts from the wall plate.. There is a little short clip and a long clip on each mount that hold in by pressure, so it is easier to push the short one in the slot until it "unhooks, then the long one will come out easier. Do this for each bulb mount. Then, it isn't hard but pull the ceramic collars out (they are held in by pressure but come out easier if you "unscrew" them),. Then the mounts for the bulbs, the collars, the wall plate, and the outer covering plate will be separate and accessible. If you remove the ceramic collars first that would be easier, but I only discovered that that was probably an option after I had unclipped the bulb mounts first! Anyway, mount the wall plate and hook up the wires, then mount each bulb holder one by one by putting the longer clip into the slot first, then push til the short one pops in, and you will have the bulb holders in nice and tight. The ceramic collars have to be pushed back on to these after you put the covering plate on. Each bronze fixture I received had a few minor scuffs or scratches and instead of returning them I just used a furniture touch up marker or some cheap bronze colored hobby paint to cover them - you won't notice it when it is on the wall. I wanted daylight 4000 or 5000K LEDs, but after seeing how cold and sterile the light from those bulbs is I was actually glad when I received soft white bulbs by mistake when I bought my G25 globe lights. They do give a much more pleasant light. I used eight 40W equivalent dimmable bulbs in two 24-inch vanity strips in a fairly large bathroom, and you will probably want to go dimmable or use 25W equivalents if you don't want to sear your retinas when you turn the light on first thing in the morning with 40W equivalent or higher non-dimmables! 5Good ValueGood Value for the money. Overall looks good. Bought three matching fixtures in different sizes. Instructions were lacking. At no point do the instructions indicate which of the two silver wires is hot and which is neutral, so we had to guess. There was also an extreme amount of excess wire, so, at first, we were stumped at what to do with. We ultimately just whacked it short once we knew we had enough play. Packaging could ve been a bit better. Some of the parts apparently bang around inside the package during shipping and dented the inside of the fixture but doesn t really affect finished look. 4The light itself works and looks good. However, and this may be an isolated case, the item was missing two screws needed for installation, and one of the bolt holes in the junction box bracket was not threaded, forcing me to spend about four dollars on a new one.I will also note that lights such as this are very difficult to install. Trying to thread the anchoring bolts through the think insulation is extremely difficult. 3So happy I found thisOur older home has bright brass lighting and door/cabinet knobs. My dinette set had a similar fixture but the brass had tarnished and even "peeled". I have been looking off and on and could not find bright/polished brass in our home stores. Then I found this. The price was 1/2 what the newer colors cost and I don't have to replace any knobs. My husband put it in in no time and it looks just as good as the old one did. There were no missing parts and although the overall box was damaged, the contents were perfect. 5Pretty close to perfectPluses are arrived on time in good order with proper packaging, installation instructions were very good and the lights themselves have a simple, practical, elegant design. Lights are not perfectly aligned (no apparent way to adjust), but I doubt anyone beyond the installer would notice. The two screws that hold the lights to the installation plate seem a tad too long, but again this would go unnoticed unless you climbed a stepladder and gave the lights a shake. All in all not a bad deal, but I would suggest giving assembly a dry run fitting before tightening things up and putting tools away. Still a recommended buy. Recommend 5.7W 2700K 460 lumem LED bulbs. They give plenty light to a small/mid-size bathroom and emit a warm soft light that goes well with translucent alabaster shades. 4Even prettier in real lifeThe photos do not do it justice. In the main image, the sconce looked decent but compact, which is fine because the price is so low. This light hasmuch more presence than I expected. The shade is actually marbled glass, set a few inches away from the wall plate (on that curved bar thing), giving it a more elegant and substantial look. If you're going for a classic or transitional style, or trying to match gold bathroom hardware, this is a great choice. I ordered just this afternoon and amazingly, they were at the door before dinner. 5Broken unusable shades. The color was not quite what I expected from the photos, but for I think it will work for my purposes. What is not usable are two of the shades that came with it. They were broken as you see in the photo straight out of the box. Since they are part of a matched set, it means the others are not really usable either. Which means what started as a reasonably priced and attractive light fixture will double in price by the time I buy five new shades. I would not recommend this product to anyone. 1Had this for a yearWe've had this product for over a year now and I'm still glad we made this purchase. I love the company too. Very good customer service. When we first bought this light fixture it just sat in the box because we were working on removing wallpaper (it's a chore. next time I'll hire someone to remove it but hindsight is always 20-20). After about a month (we really procrastinated) we finished in the bathroom and were really to put this fixture up. Upon opening the box and looking more thoroughly I noticed that one of the glasses was broken. Even though we bought the product over a month ago I contacted the company about the cost to replace it. I figured since I waited so long I should go ahead and pay to replace the glass. Instead I received a replacement without a bill within 3-4 days after contacting the company. That is how you keep loyal customers. I would recommend this company to everybody! 5Brush nickel fixture with frosted glass adds a nice touch to the bathroom. This brushed nickel light bar with frosted lamps is very attractive and adds a classic touch to the bathroom. It was easy to install. My only complaint is that the back plate that attaches to the wall is rather narrow (top to bottom) and it did not cover the blue wiring box completely. This may be due to our workbox being an older style. I ended up painting the blue bit that stuck out the same color as the wall and it is not noticeable. 4Replaced a 20 year old builder's grade fixture with this and love it!My wife and I recently were renovating our bathroom sink area again and decided that this time we would replace the light. We looked at our local home improvement store and nothing was this wide. It was either make two smaller fixtures work somehow or keep looking. Well, we looked on Amazon and found a few, but this one caught our eye. It came quickly via Prime and pretty much went right where the old light was. I did a little bit of drywall work to clean up the area and installed the light. One thing not mentioned in the product page is that you can orient the light upside down or right-side up, ie: you can have the globes face up or down, simply flip the whole thing over. The fixture doesn't come with any light bulbs, but a good choice is something like a GE Lighting 12993 40-Watt clear medium base bulb. This fixture has made a huge difference in the aesthetic of our sink area. 5
