    Truly Awesome I love this product. Everything is as described this controller is truly awesome and comes with cool features to use. I wanted something to get the party started and this delivered 5WOW All i can say is wow. Very very nice beginner mixer. 5like get your Numark account first I have to admit that for the size of this unit and the weight I didn't think this Numark " Party Mix " controller was going to meet my mixing needs. First off the software it comes with is "Virtual DJ 8 LE" which I need heard of and I have been using Virtual DJ 8 Pro for yrs. If your familiar with VDJ software than this mighty little controller will fulfill all of your needs trust me!!!! Now you have to follow the directions to the tee, like get your Numark account first, name, product, where you purchased product, registration code which is on the back of the unit or the box. If you already have VDJ on your laptop or desktop uninstall it so that the new software won't be confused. Download VDJ form link in your Numark account and click the Party Mix sound card in VDJ page. Do not sign in or register because you already have your software on VDJ for the life of your unit!!!! Sit back and enjoy,,,and for the price and the power of this sucker you'll be surprised!!! ROCK THE HOUSE:) 5DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This thing sucks. Very misleading. It only comes with limited Virtual DJ license. After that you have to pay to use it. Pointless if you ask me. You already paid for the mixer and now you have to pay some more to use it? Review from a professional: Recently all of my full pioneer setup was in a house fire, I bought this to hold me over to prep tracks for gigs. Does everything basic that you would expect it to, I didn't expect a lot for $100. Typical things expected, faders bleed, lights are cheesy, tempo sliders do not zero but nothing outside what I am capable of working with. HOWEVER they lead you to believe and lots of other reviews will attest to this that everything is there and you are all set but, just a small 45 min or so into mixing with ALL OF THE REGISTRATION REQUIRED, the program begins to heckle you asking you for more information and if you want it to continue to work you have to pay, if that wasn't enough, it starts dumping noise through your headphones. I had a vestax running vdj a long time ago with good memories of getting me started in music, this has officially burned the bridge unfortunately. If you are a new dj and looking to get started look elsewhere, pay the few extra bucks, get something that runs serato or trakor, unfortunately for vdj it looks like their business model is now to nickle and dime. 1Good Buy I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an inexpensive DJ Controller. If you're looking to become a serious DJ you probably want something a little more advanced, but if you're a beginner and just looking to play around at home this is the board for you. 5Great for the beginner DJ If you are looking to start your DJing hobby, this will be the perfect controller for you. Simple enough to learn the basics and enough features to perform like a pro. Using this with Virtual DJ you can have a pretty comprehensive list of features and functions that you will need to practice and perform. Many of the entry level controllers do not have a built in sound card. This one does. And at the price ($100) you don't have to spend too much for an entry level controller.The major qualm I have is the quality of the knobs and levers. They felt loose and cheap. The pads are also hard plastic not silicone. Well, for the price I am pleased with the purchase. When I have outgrown this one I definitely will be upgrading to another with better quality. 4Not great at all Product feels flimsy and cheap. One of the reasons I initially ordered this was because of the virtual Dj limited edition of the software. Well, on the day of my event, the trial was for only 4 days, so the software was trial only not permanent actual software. This was not described in the product description. Was very disappointed, I can t return now since I waited so long to open for my daughters grad part only for the virtual Dj software not to work on the actual day of party. 1Caveat emptor; great controller for a great price, but holds itself ransom after a month I really love this controller, a lot of people complain about the buttons but I think the responsiveness of the click is perfect, I never over- or under-press and the the timing of my actions never gets screwed up. I like the particular variety of the buttons, the selection and the layout and everything, everything is really accessible, etc etc, the soundcard is great, the controller itself is really light and it's awesome that it uses a simple USB connection, simple headphone jack, yadda yadda, all in all I have only glowing things to say about the controller itself.The software, and how the controller is made to interact with the software, is where the problems come in. The software is marketed like it "comes with" the controller, which is technically true, but after about a month you're told that actually, you only have a demo license and you'll have to pay at least $50 more to keep using the software with the controller. You may be thinking, why not just use the controller with any other software you already have? Here's the kicker: if you use the controller with any other DJ software, such as Mixxx or Traktor, the button lights are extremely dull and difficult to distinguish, and you have no choice but to DJ by touch/muscle memory. I wish I were at least told I had a demo license so that this wasn't sprung on me last minute; worst case scenario, I could have had a show coming up in 6 days, gotten the "5 days left" notification, then had to totally set up everything from scratch -- my set, preferences, MIDI mapping and all that -- in a new software, IF I don't give Virtual DJ the ransom money. Well funny enough, that's the situation I'm in right now, but at least I have more than 5 days to do it. The way this controller in tandem with Virtual DJ suddenly and unexpectedly holds itself ransom and forces you to fork over even more money is incredibly weird. "LE", by the way, stands for "Limited Edition", as in "limited use". Just be aware of all this if you go ahead with buying this controller! 3
