Customer Reviews

Very small but bright enoughI like the size of this flashlight. It is not bulky and very lightweight. Brightness is enough for finding things dropped in the dark. The clip is not very intuitive. The clip is not strong and may open up. I've caught the flashlight almost coming off my keychain a couple of times. 4Good, not greatThis is a strong micro-light for key rings and pockets. EDC. It gives quite adequate light for night time navigating and peering into dark corners. I give it three stars because the clip is not totally secure and the on-off button can be engaged by pressure on the light when sat on with the keys. (Guy here, no purse) I've found mine lit when I've pulled it out of my pocket a number of times. The only ones that completely guard against unintended running have a positive lock switch. Fortunately its batteries can be purchased on-line for 10th Wal-Mart's cost. When you get this light, toss the clip right away and use something secure: Build up a circle of J-B Quick around the pressure switch so only a pointed finger push can engage it and you'll love this beacon. 3Best little key chain flashlight.I have bought many of these over the years as I will wear them out or lose them over time, but the product itself is very solid. The LED is very bright in high power mode, but the beam is a bit narrow for some things. But then, it is just a key chain light and not a full flashlight. This is NOT a momentary push light where you have to keep holding the button. Though it will work that way if you leave it in demo mode. You can also put it back into demo mode after taking it out if you prefer the momentary option. After taking it out of "demo mode" you have 3 options, high, low and flashing. I like that the logic chip inside will sense when you have been in a certain mode for a few seconds and make the next click an "off" rather than having to scroll through the patterns each time. There is also a battery saver feature which will turn the light off for you if it has been in high mode for a few minutes. The batteries are easily replaceable with two CR2016 batteries. I always have one of these on my car keys. 5Decent lightThe Inova Microlight is a decent light for five dollars. On high mode it puts out a beam about 120cd in brightness, and about 24cd in low mode. There's also a strobe function, and a momentary press-and-hold mode. I find this arrangement offers enough flexibility to make this light useful in different situations, more so than single-mode lights.Likes:The 3 modes are convenient to access quickly. Only need one click to turn it off after a few seconds of use, unlike mentioned elsewhere. The light is easy to take apart, and uses lithium coin cells, which I prefer over alkaline button cells in some other keychain lights. The LED can easily be pulled out and swapped for a different 5mm LED. Also the LED is recessed inside the body, so there's no annoying glare if you get the non-translucent model. With this translucent model the top half of the body still produces glare. The flat metal clip attaches easily to objects, and allows the light to stand on a flat surface while pointing up.Dislikes:On high mode the light turns off after 4 minutes. I don't have a problem with it turning on accidentally, so this is an annoyance rather than a feature. But at least it gives you a warning flash, so you don't suddenly end up in the dark. Also the metal attachment clip is not oriented in a way that would allow the light to lie flat against my keys on a keychain. 4Well worth the $$I first got introduced to these in the sand box. Bought this one to replace one I lost off my key ring. It was over ten years old. Great value for an easy to use low light device. BTW I found the missing one, it now sits in the center console of the car. 5Useful little bright lightSuper convenient little keychain with bright light. Helps me at my front door to unlock and get in at night (porch light is busted), at my car to find anything that falls in the cracks, and in my room when I'm checking under my bed for monsters.I like the different settings.Read the instructions to figure out how to set it up, especially if strobe likes make you seize. Took me less than a minute to figure out how to get it on the setting I wanted and is super easy to switch to the other setting when neededImpressed with the amount of light from such a small little thing. Recommended. Will definitely buy again when I lose my keys again (inevitable). 5Very nice little light.Works great; very light weight, doesn't seem flimsy and the light is bright. I like that the light will stay on and I don't have to hold a button down while I'm unlocking the door or cleaning up after my dogs. The clip makes it easy to move from my key ring to the bag I carry when I walk my dogs, but I'm ordering a 2nd one so I won't have to do that. I've only had it a couple weeks so I'm waiting to see how long the battery lasts before giving it 5 stars 4Awesome!Best microlight out there!! Very durable and extremely light weight. Ive owned several and have always had nothing but good experiences with Inova microlights! I work at a hospital and have one clipped on my badge which I use all the time. Often let others use it as well. I have one on my key chain as well as my girlfriends keychain. I also have one in my bug out bag. If you've never owned one and are debating whether or not do grab one, DO IT! You will not regret it.Pros: DURABILITY (I've dropped them so many times and they still work great). Weight ( so light you hardly notice your carrying it), Build quality ( Ive never encountered any manufacturing issues. Very well built. As I mentioned earlier, if you've never had one, buy it ! you won't regret it 5I love this. That means I've been in their room ...I clip this light to my badge. As a night nurse, I try to sneak into patients rooms when rounding or hanging IV medications. This small light is powerful. How it's different from other micro lights is the fact, when you click the "on" button, the light stays on. Then at 2-3 minutes it begins to strobe and blink, I love this. That means I've been in their room too long, it's time to go. Patients need their sleep, but I have a job to do too. I tried other brands.....most lights don't stay on, you have to hold your finger on the button....I can't do this while hanging meds or typing. Great light! 5Malfunction after few days of useThis product worked well for a few days then suddenly would not provide a steady stream of light, instead producing a "flickering" effect. You can toggle between 3 different modes ("high power", "low power", or "strobe"), but the flickering is occurring when toggling to "high power" or "low power." The strobe feature works just fine.UPDATE:I bought a replacement of this item thinking that it was a one-off defective product, but after a few days of use, this light is doing the same thing. 1
