    We ordered this remote for our daughter so she quit ... We ordered this remote for our daughter so she quit grabbing the "real" roku remote and put it into her mouth. I know we're not supposed to let her chew on it, but we're surviving people! Now we're using it as a replacement for the one that broke. Will probably have to order a third one... Ha. 5No returns. Feels like a scam. This remote is for specific models and does not work with all Rokus. Oops. Should have read a bit more carefully. No big deal I can return it. But I can't. Store policy says they follow Amazon policy which states that Prime items can be returned. This item was Prime so why can't it be returned? Unless you are absolutely sure you this item will work with exactly what you have, don't buy it. One star for the shady return policy. 1Perfect and Economical Replacement Remote My original remote sadly didn t survive an expedition through the washer after it got scooped up with the sheets. Because the Xfinity fancier than I ever wanted to bother with remote won t even get my TCL Roku TV turned on and displaying any channels (it took hours with tech support and a replacement remote to get the fancy, oversized remote to control volume and channel selection), I need a TCL remote. After researching the various choices, I selected this one.I worked perfectly right out of the package with no need to pair or synch or do anything more than insert a battery. I like simplicity and this was seamless: insert battery, press buttons, get appropriate responses from my TCL Roku TV! Now if they d only make a waterproof version.., 5Very Pleased This remote works perfectly as a replacement for the original remote that our son somehow managed to destroy. Great price for a great product. 5It works I have 3 TCL Roku TVs of different sizes and this remote works on all three of them. If you have these TVs you know that the remotes are on the small side and can be easily lost especially if you have children. we have gone through at least seven or eight remote I don't have a clue where they go but these work really good. I have ordered other kinds before and realize after they came in that they did not have the power button at the top and they did not work on any of the TVs. 5Next best thing to the original Not as good as the original but you for what you get, my nephew destroyed the original remote and we needed to just get a cheap fix, it has to be in line of sight with the infrared sensor on the tv to work and it does NOT have the headphone jack, both features requires wireless on the original. This time the victim was a remote for my TLC ROKU TV. I quickly hit up my amazon app and came across this product. It arrived on time in a minimal amount of packaging, yet still in perfect new condition. I simply transferred the triple A s to the new remote and immediately it worked with my TV. The product comes in a sealed plastic bag. It feels roughly the same in quality as the original remote for the TLC Roku tv I had. Simply place two triple A s in the remote and it should work with your TV immediately.Pros of this product:- Works immediately with no additional TV linking set up- Feels exactly the same as factory control- Easy to useThe only con I could think of:- Doesn t come with any triple A s 5Directions & Screen Shots!!! On the bottom of your TCL TV, there are 3 navigation buttons. Use these starting from the [Home] screen, go to [Settings], click to right > to [System], then click right again to [About] and select on [About].This brings up your (TCL * Roku TV * System info) screen. *See attached picture below. The 2nd item on this screen is titled [TCL model] > to the right it will list your TCL model-43S405.Use this model number and go to the Description section of the remote that your searching for - see also the attached picture. This model number should be listed as shown, again see picture! Note: If your model number is (not) listed as shown, the remote will not work. Search for another type of Roku remote until you find your matching model number. This will be the correct remote for your TCL TV. No programing needed, purchase 2 AAA batteries into the remote and it will work right away. 5One Star After using for 3 weeks this product has broken. Center OK button sticks/hangs in the depressed position. 1... remote from our TCL Roku TV and with a sad face, said it just had a journey through ... My wife brought our remote from our TCL Roku TV and with a sad face, said it just had a journey through the washing machine, after getting swept up with the blankets on the bed. It wasn't controlling the TV anymore and the kids were getting impatient, not being able to watch TV from bed. (Seriously?) I didn't know you could order replacement Roku controllers until a did a quick search on Amazon, and in doing so, I found I wasn't the first that gave their remote a wash with the bedding. Also, I see you can pick up TCL Roku TV remotes with different buttons on the bottom! Awesome! After spending hours looking for one that had a button that would get the kids to clean up their rooms, I relented and found one that has each of the internet channels we use (Netflix, etc.). When the new remote came, I printed a tiny label that says, "Time to clean your rooms" and put it under the red button on the top of the remote. 5
