Customer Reviews

Worked well on my Craftsman 12 gallon 919.176311 Compressor. Just installed on my 1985 Craftsman 919.176311 12 gallon 1 HP compressor. Really close match to original Furnas Electric CAC-4220-1 switch. The original unloader tube bolted right up and even was same thread size for the nut with no tube bending needed. You will need/need to do: Buy the shortest 1/4NPT nipple you can find for duplicate mounting. Unscrew original wire tabs from the Furnas switch and screw onto the Lefoo. Pop out rubber cone plugs from the Lefoo and plier pinch original plastic wire grommets and snap into Lefoo switch body.... they fit perfectly. THIS CRAFTSMAN COMPRESSOR WAS DESIGNED FOR 80-100 psi. I turned the shiny metal adjustment screw CCW 2 1/2 turns and the new switch now cycles between 75-105 psi. Close enough! Did not touch the big black plastic screw. The OFF/AUTO switch is located in the right spot but the lever orientation is way off for my Craftsman. Fortunately the plated steel arm is dead soft steel wire and I was able to CAREFULLY bend it backwards toward the compressor control panel slot into a tight circle shape. BEND BY HOLDING TWO SPOTS OF THE ARM WITH TWO VISE GRIP PLIERS. DO NOT TORQUE AGAINST THE FRAGILE SWITCH....IT PROBLABY WOULD BREAK! I silver soldered a curved piece of 1/8 dia wire to the end of the lefoo switch arm. Now the switch arm works like the original craftsman! NOTE MY ORIGINALCRAFTSMAN SWITCH FAILED BY THE CONTACTS ACTUALLY WELDING TOGETHER AND THE MOTOR WOULD NOT SHUT OFF! THE CONTACT METAL WAS COMPLETELY GONE AND THE CONTACT RIVET METAL WAS JUST PLAIN BRASS AND IT WELDED TO ITSELF. >>> This new switch made in China is a super deal if it lasts as long as the original. DELIVERY WAS VERY SLOW.............BUT WORTH THE WAIT!! 5Used in place of OEM replacement for Porter Cable Pancake 150psi 6 gal tank compressor... MY FIX WORKED GREAT... but I wouldn't recommend doing what I did unless you are familiar with pneumatic and electrical systems (safely issue)..... but it does work well. When I started searching for the OEM replacement pressure switch for my Porter Cable 150psi 6 gal. pancake tank compressor, I saw that while the price was only about $12 on a few sites, it was also on factory back order. So price was a moot point. Having a background in tool manufacturing and repair, I opted to replace the stock "fixed cut-in/cut-out" switch, with a pressure switch that I could adjust, and one that had its own "auto-off" mode switch built-in. (this is quite common on pressure switches). So luckily I found this familiar pressure switch design on Amazon's page; the LF10-1H. This switch is a double-pole, double-throw pneumatically controlled switch. The OEM switch for this compressor is simpler; a "single pole, single throw" type switch that wires "in-series" with the motor-winding. Most important, the pressure cut-in and cut-out points on the new switch are adjustable. While the OEM pressure switch for this Porter Cable compressor was fixed at a cut-in of 125psi and a cut-out at 150psi (a bit scary for me), I had no need for that high a pressure, (not using it for a nail gun, etc.) And frankly, I wasn't comfortable with it operating at that high a range for extended periods. Small "oil less" compressors do get hot running for extended periods. And I have other more commercial units with which I have more trust; running for extended periods. So this pressure switch allowed me to set its cut-in at 90psi and the cut-out at 100 psi. While the compressor has its own on-off switch, the LF10-1H has its own built in "auto or off" switch AND a pressure relief valve. Both are nice "redundant" safety features when coupled with the compressors pressure-relief valve and electrical on-off switch. I'll post a short video showing how I physically attached the switch to my compressor, and will show the wiring going into the pressure control switch. I completely removed the OEM defective pressure switch, and simply joined the wires that went through the switch to the motor-coil. I also purchased one foot of high pressure hose to replace the line from the regulator manifold, now going outside the compressor to the switch-body. I've already used the compressor in my shop for quick "blow/clean" and "tire inflation" tasks. It works great, and I saved money while also increasing the pressure switch options for this compressor. This is a solid design, and can be used on a number of small compressors. 5A good regulator for a very good price Perfect fit for a Coleman 3.5HP/15-GALLON AIR COMPRESSOR, ALTON Air Compressor AT01213-15, and for many similar compressors.Restored the new Compressor with a broken connector from regulator to the tank. The Pressure Switch Control Manifold Regulator 95-125 PSI works as described starts at 95 PSI and stops at 125 PSI. A 12 compressed air hose protects the Regulator Assembly during coupling the air hose to the compressor. I have to rebuilt the copper line from the tank check valve to the regulator. This releases the pressure at the compressor piston after turning it OFF. I bought on ebay a brass adapter from the tank to the regulator, a Air Compressor Pressure/Hydraulic Gauge 2" Face Side Mount 1/4" NPT 0-200 PSI $8 at Amazon, and I use Oatey 31230 Pipe Joint Compound with PTFE. 5WARNING. Be absoluetly certain of what it connects to. Internally the same as OEM part. However, the base plate of the original had a cast manifold that screwed to the base of the switch, so if you loosened the screws that held the base plate onto the switch assy, the internals of the switch would shift under heavy spring pressure, a near impossible task without some sort of fixture to hold the switch together. Was a complete waste of time and money for me. So be aware of this gotcha. 1Had to use an adapter, but... This works absolutely perfect on my old Campbell Hausfeld 60 Gal stand-up compressor. I did have to use an adapter since the air input on this is female, and the output of my compressor is also female. No big deal. I had a male-male nipple adapter in the drawer already, but if not, they are only a couple bucks at the auto parts store. The switch part works just as advertised, and is well regulated at 125 PSI. The unloader tube hooked right up with no issues. This can be used with 120 OR 240 volt units. Mine is a 240 Volt. 5Craftsman air compressor back in service My old Craftsman air compressor sprung an air leak through the factory switch. No complaints, my day bought this compressor when I was a kid and I m 47 now. We beat the snot out of that thing and this was only the second thing that needed replacement on it (1st was a belt). I got this new switch and put it on and boom, back in service. I was contemplating on just going to HF and getting a new stand up jobby but glad I didn t. Saved some good bucks with the repair. The switch wasn t an exact replacement but whatever, it s workin great. 5Great product but check the number of ports before ordering Giving 5 stars since it looks just like the original and I think it would have been a good replacement BUT I screwed up by not paying attention to the base. I need a two way base, tank and regulator, but this model only has a port. I thought I could swap out the base with the bad switch base but that is a very bad idea. Removing the base unleashes a mousetrap of small interlocking parts under tension that don't go back together again. This mess is in the trash and I'll pick up the same brand with a four port and plug two or hopefully find a two port model. 5It works, but you get what you pay for It's cheap, it's Chinese, and it saved an old air compressor from going to the curb. It installed easily enough, but I have had occasional issues with the little relief valve on the side staying open and letting air out. It doesn't happen all the time, and I think I've managed to "adjust" (bend) it to make it stop. That said, it eems to be working now. I got what I paid for, which was worth spending less than half even after purchasing the additional plumbing to adapt it to my unit than I would have spent if I replaced with a factory unit. 3Awesome deal fixed my 75 gal 240v compressor I have an OLD small industrial 240v 75 gal compressor. I cannot live without my air compressor as I use it all the time. I also have several smaller 110v compressors as well that I have worked on over the years. The last time I replaced a pressure switch was prob about 20 years ago or so and they were pricey ~$40 and kind of hard to come by. Back then about the only place to get them was the manufacturer or Grainger. Most places that had them did not want to deal with you unless you had a commercial account with them. This thing was a direct replacement all connections in the same place including the unloader line. Super cheap and easy, had my compressor back up and running in ~20 minutes. 5Nice value, Functions fine Yep, so I used this compressor switch with the unloader feature to convert over my old gas powered Quincy compressor to electric.Toughest part was fastening the plastic cover back in place, as i had used oversize power cord (8/3) in and out of the switch box.I've run the compressor intermittently for a couple of months now, with no issues to report for switching, pressure control, or anything else for that matter. Oh, and it has stayed accurate as far as cut-in and cut-out pressures (which i adjusted to suit my compressor). All in all, I am impressed with the switch & found it to be a value at that price point. 5
