Minor difference: LOOKS exactly like our Samsung remote (that I accidentally threw in the washing machine). Took out of the box, put new batteries in (not included) and it worked instantly. ONE difference that may matter to some, is our original had little bumps on the enter button so you could feel the button you needed without looking, which is helpful in the dark. Also the volume buttons on the Samsung are slightly bowed, so they too, are easier to distinguish. All the buttons look the same and it works great but those little extra features may be worth getting a real remote over this knock-off.I do highly recommend this cover I have pictured too! - additional purchase. 4Works with Samsung UN32J525DAFXZA Like some others, the original remote and power supply were left at a remote location so it was more time and cost efficient to get replacements.This worked right out of the box as advertised. Was able to go through the setup and SmartHub screens without problems. It also switched the sources properly. I ve not gone through exhaustive testing but so far its working well. 5Good for the price, slight lag time with the buttons Our dog chewed up our original remote. This remote control is relatively inexpensive and does the job to watch my Samsung Smart TV. I have noticed that the lag time (between pressing a button and seeing the response on the TV) is slightly longer, compared to the original remote control that the TV came with. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and will probably reorder when our dog finds the remote again. 5Wonky. Not impressed. We bought this remote less than a month ago. It stopped working. It seems that there's something pressing internally (the infrared was continuously on) and wears down the battery and it just stopped today even with new batteries. Heck, it was wonky when we first got it but it worked if we got a little closer to the TV so we kept it. I cannot return it even though it less than a month since we bought it. Smart hub button works as it should and everything is in working order. The remote on the left is the VINABTY and the remote on the right is the one that came with ge tv. The only feature I noticed it does not have is the pointer feature (the original factory remote has a feature where you can basically point and click to select from on-screen menus). Other than turning the TV on and off, the second remote was a complete dud. So, that means no his/her, his/his, or her/her remotes.2 The second problem is that at $59, the duplicate of the original remote is quite expensive.My Plan B for a remote was a leap of faith with the purchase of a BN59-01199F at Amazon for a mere $7.69. The purchase was a leap of faith in that my QLED TV model was NOT on the list of TVs that would work with the remote (only UN series of Samsung LED LCD TVs were listed).The great news is that when the remote arrived last week, all I had to do was install 2 AAA batteries, pushed the on/off button, and my TV turned on ---- And, the remote works for changing channels, volume, etc. It looks like all of TV setup steps that I did with the original Samsung remote were still in place and working fine. Basically, the product description of No need to set up works for my QLED TV model also.The above comments come with a few caveats: 1) The BN59-01199F does NOT come with any form of user manual, and I could not find a user manual online. The lack of any form of user manual means that I ll have to experiment to see how the various buttons on this Plan B remote works. The manufacturer might consider developing a basic user manual. 2) The product description explicitly states that the remote work with the UN series of Samsung LED LCD TVs. So, although this new remote worked with my Samsung QLED model, it may or may not work with other QLED models.Summary, for a Plan B/backup remote, I m glad that I took a very small bet and spent the $7.69. 5
