    Useful as a protector, not so much for glares One of my pet peeves is having a glare on my screen when I'm studying or using my surface for a long period of time. It's also annoying when you have multiple people looking at your screen and one person doesn't see what you are trying to show them due to the glare. I thought it was time for me to start looking for screen protectors. I spent several days looking for one and finally found this.This screen protector comes in a hard cardboard-like packaging so you won't have to worry about it bending prior to it getting to you. It has these easy to use little tabs that comes on the side so you can easily apply the protector to your surface. Make sure you pay attention of which one to peel first otherwise it has potential of being very difficult.If you are anything like me, I'm terrible at applying screen protectors! I always will have a bubble in the middle or one that is difficult to remove. If you take too long and bend the protector in the opposite direction, it'll give you more bubbles. Not sure if that makes sense, but if you apply the protector fast and use a straight edge like a rule or even a credit card, you can do a great job with minimal bubbles. What I liked about this protector is that you can pull it open to remove a lint that possibly flew in and it'll stick back into place. You don't have to worry about the adhesive coming off.Another thing I like about this is that when my friends point to my screen with their pens, the screen is protected.The reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not entirely remove the glare as advertised. Don't get my wrong, it minimizes the glare, but it doesn't really remove it the way I though it would. It's best function is scratch protection. If you are sitting with the light behind you, for example sunlight or ceiling light, you will have a glare. There's just no going around it. I must say of course, it's not as bad if you didn't have this shield, but it's not entirely for glares. 4Install kit will permanently damage your tablet screen, does not protect against cardboard. Extremely poor quality. Their "bubble remover" doesn't remove any bubbles; it just scratches your screen. I tried all 3 covers, followed the video precisely, took my time and wasted 3 hours of my life only to find their bubble remover scratched my screen through their so-called protector and an extra layer of clear film you take off after removing bubbles. The material is flimsy, flexible and not hard as advertised. it's as flexible as paper and impossible to install. I'm an electrical engineer and I work with printed circuit boards daily. i tried to install this in our clean room, using the same tools and skills we use on circuits, and could not manage without bubbles and dust. The company seems eager to avoid bad reviews and this is why, they don't want buyers to know what poor quality it is, how little it protects if a flimsy cardboard bubble remover ruins my surface tablet thru their protector, and how horribly they've designed this product for user install. I don't care how many times you offer me a refund; people need to know how horrible your product is. It's nice you offer refunds but at a minimum you need to replace my damaged surface pro 4 tablet, pay me for my time, and provide a matte finish tempered glass protector as ordered. Flimsy film is not tempered glass. 1Bad screen protector, but solid for my use case INITIAL: Been a few months since I got it, so from what I remember it took about 30 minutes of applying, and reapplying to get rid of almost all the bubbles. One bubble stayed, but was really tiny and off to the side so I didn't care too much. Was smooth, and didn't slow down my hand like the regular glass screen does when too much of the oils/sweat build up on the screen.LOOKS: The "matte" effect makes reflections blurred and lose a bit of detail, whereas without it, you get a screen reflection. To be honest I got this screen protector to be a smooth surface that hopefully wouldn't slow my hand as much as the regular screen had from sweat build up.PROTECTION/STRENGTH: In terms of protection, I only really care to have a layer between the outside world and the screen below. I never put myself in situations where I would need a shatterproof screen protector, just need something to prevent any scratching on the screen. However, it does scratch very easily. How easily? I have light scratches from my surface pen where I can read exactly what I was writing at the time. They're light enough to where I don't care, but can be noticed if I happen to sitting in a well lit area, and the screen is turned off. Don't want to imagine what leaving this in a backpack full of other metallic things would do to the protector.CONCLUSION: I'm giving it 3 stars because it works for me, but in general is pretty poor quality. Application was a bit difficult to get perfect, but it serves its use. It keeps my hands from feeling tacky and slowed down by built up sweat over the 1.5-3 hours that I'm writing during lectures. One thing that I forgot to mention is that it also doesn't mess with sensitivity from what I've felt. I've heard that some other glass screen protectors mess with sensitivity, so I didn't bother trying any of them, because the last thing I want with my note-taking machine is to have issues writing. In terms of protection, this thing exists purely as a "layer of something" between my screen and the outside, so its good enough. I don't need the drop protection of a tempered glass screen protector. 3Artist-approved I am a digital artist and a longtime Wacom user. I bought the Surface Pro 3 as a portable drawing studio, however always disliked drawing on it because of the glass' lack of texture. It's like trying to use pencil on a whiteboard. At the suggestion of a friend, I purchased and installed this matte screen protector to see if it would help.Because this screen protector is matte, it adds some extra "tooth" to the Surface's screen. It feels more like the matte texture of a Wacom tablet. With a toothier canvas, I feel way more comfortable drawing, sketching, shading, etc. My pressure variability has also greatly improved, to the point where I needed to readjust my drawing program's settings to account for the changed tension in my hand. And I no longer worry about possibly scratching the glass if I press down too hard. There also seems to be no decrease in sensitivity when I use my finger.And, of course, being able to SEE what I'm drawing while sitting underneath the strong overhead lights at Starb*cks is a great plus.You also get three protectors in one package for less than ten bucks. That's a good deal.Buy this. You need to feel it to believe it. 5Great addition to Surface Pro 3 Product just arrived this afternoon. I was able to easily install the screen protector in about 15 minutes. It fits perfectly! I took my time to make sure I wouldn't have to redo it. As long as you are patient with the installation, I can't imagine you will have any trouble.The matte finish does exactly what I hoped it would. I hope to use my surface during my presentations. It was challenging to use the Surface as it was because of all the glare on the screen. It was nearly impossible to read my notes because of all the glare. I'm looking forward to a glare-free future now.I can't speak to the durability of the product as I have literally just installed it. I will update after some time if the product fails for any reason. 5It works as expected This works perfectly. The Surface Pro was dropped and the screen didn't break. The anti-glare surface works surprisingly well, even outdoors. Like any screen shield, it does collect fingerprints even though it has sort of a matte finish, but they are easily washed away with a microfiber cloth and some water. It was also rather easy to apply, so I gave it a four star rating. I honestly don't know whether to give it a 5-star rating as it does what it should, but the "I love it" description isn't a good fit. There's nothing absolutely amazing about it to make me love it, other than perhaps the lifetime replacement warranty. So if you have a Surface Pro I would most certainly recommend this. 4Amazing, removes glare, better than tempered glass. It is amazing, it really turns the screen glare into something you can use something outside due to its matte finish. I am writing this review outside in a coffee shop with the sun in my back - this would have not been possible before. I had to try twice to install it, the first was a little misaligned, but the second installed perfectly (good that it comes in a set of three) - no bubbles,no dust, perfect, much improved experience. Never had such a positive screen protector experience before. I thought tempered glass was the way to go, but I am happy I tried this. Highly recommended. 5Not what I thought it was, also touch screen iffy I thought this was going to be one of the tempered glass screen protectors, I was very disapointed when I got it to discover it is not, I get those kind becuase I seem to be rough on my computers. This screen protector is flimsy enough I am not convinced that it would protect my computer when something happens.Also this screen protector is not easy to instal there are bubbles all over my protector thankfully they are not easily seen when the computer is on. When I first installed the protector the the touch capability on my screen did not work at all. Today it is sometimes working.Pros:you get 3 for the price - good priceDefinetly anti-glareCons:Not Tempered GlassNot easy to instalmesses with the touch screen capability. 3If you have a case then you might have issues I have a UAG case on my Surface Pro and the only way to keep it from constantly causing the film to want to peel off is to trim it down a little on all sides. I have a paper cutter so it was easy enough to do and keep it square but with scissors or a razor/straight edge it might be more difficult. This leaves an ever so slight bevel on the film which makes a perfect seal a potential future issuse...time will tell.Otherwise the install is no more or less difficult than any of these thing...damn bubbles are just a bitch and if you get dust in there you better hope it sticks to the screen and not the film cause getting it off the film is a challenge.The finish is nice, it does cut down the glare as mentioned elsewhere. It definitely changes the feel of the pen...I think more drag than pencil on paper personally. 32/3 protectors don't properly stick to screen. Doesn't meet the bare minimum requirement for a screen protector, which is "adhere to the whole screen". Received a pack of 3, and 2/3 have corner spots with malfunctioning adhesive. They are not extending past the screen in any way and the screen is completely clean. Followed Youtube instructions to the letter. These corner spots just refuse to stick to the screen. Different spots on both protectors. I'm sure the protector will be inadvertently peeled off by something in the course of being put into and removed from my bag.That said, the matte effect provided by these protectors is good and makes working on my Surface much easier on my eyes when under fluorescent lights. Would be 5 stars if not for the adhesive issue. 2
