    Missing parts Well it all started off great, I was putting the stand together & once I got to the second or third step I realized the parts I needed were no where to be found. The nuts that basically hold the thing together didn't come in my package. Overall disappointed. Now I gotta make a trip to the hardware store. Great. 1Functional for the price, but neither pretty nor sturdy Each leg must be assembled from three pieces of stamped steel using the supplied nuts and bolts - that was not obvious from the picture. I guess it's hard to expect much more for $20, but the result looks far less dignified than the picture led me to believe. Also, the included nuts and bolts used to assemble the contraption are made from some laughably soft alloy so it's impossible to tighten them properly with the supplied tools - the Allen wrench strips the bolt head almost immediately. And I presume I used the right size Allen wrench since it was included in the package.So, functional if you want a cheap stand, but is pretty flimsy and looks rather ugly. 3Works! I had to drill a couple of additional holes in the mount so it would work with my TV. My TV is a 42 inch plasma that is at least 10 years old. It works fine tough and is a good price. 4A sturdy and substantial improvement over the original factory plastic stand... This is a sturdy metal stand. It came with zillions of metric screws and bolts of all sizes to fit every application under the sun. It's not unattractive, and is more sturdy and substantial than the original plastic pedistal. I didn't give it five stars because there was a delay with shipping and poor communication. 4So glad I chose this one. I have an older Insignia 43 inch tv that I had to move from the wall to a table top. I lost the legs that came with it. I didn t pay much for this stand so I wasn t expecting much. What a pleasant surprise I got when I received it, assembled it and am now using it. The quality is above and beyond what I expected. The packaging of all the various screws, washers and spacers to accompany different TV sets was superb. I put it together myself! The illustrations were easy to follow. Seems very sturdy and secure. 5Simple and functional I bought this for a 32" TV. Its simple to assemble and it came with more than enough nuts and bolts (even tools!) than you'd need in order to complete the job. Its very functional for the price as it'll be something that I can use and reuse again should I get a larger TV.That being said, there are a couple quirks. Being used as a mount for a 32" TV, the kit obviously was designed to handle larger screen TVs. I've set mine to where the mounting brackets are at the very edge of protruding from behind the TV and it still hangs rather high on the TV stand. Although you can't tell from the picture, the angled piece that joins the mounting brackets with the feet of the stand come with a plastic cover. Its nice if you care about a streamlined look. However, they aren't held in place by any screws. As such, they are prone to popping off easily. It makes this whole thing feel cheaper than it already is. The feet of the kit does have a felt underlying for added grip and stability, but I can't help but feel that a soft rubber would've been a better material.Overall, it's good for the price. Installation only takes minutes and the material used to make the stand (presumably steel) will last you many years. 4I used the extensions with these legs for a perfect secure fit Holding up a Pioneer Pro-150FD!!! (122lbs w/o side speakers). Now, you won't get these legs to fit without extending them. I have a $300 articulating mount that was used for this set and that had double bolted extensions for the brackets mounted to the TV. I used the extensions with these legs for a perfect secure fit. There is some flex but we're talking about an inch or so total possible movement if you bump into it. I put weight on it and it will take some effort to tip it. This thing isn't going anywhere otherwise. $20 well spent! 4Quick to install and quite sturdy Fits on just about ANY standard TV and easy to install. Great for those times when you threw away the stands that came with the TV since it was wall mounted, and now you need it off the wall! 5Can't beat it While looking for the replacement stand for my grandfathers Vizio Tv, I COULD NOT BELIEVE how much a new replacement stand would cost. Some used where 45-60 dollars. 60-75 dollars for a new one. At first I thought...this cant be correct, but it was. It was at that point I checked Amazon site for something used, open box, etc I just needed a stand! During a search, the universal stand loaded on the search page. I was able to buy this universal stand for $20 dollars. I received it in the two day Prime shipping agreement. I assembled it (didn't even really need the instructions) and screwed the brackets to the back of the TV. Nothing fancy, it does the job just fine. The greatest part is it was just a fraction of what a new brand stand would have cost me. Thanks Amazon for carrying this universal stand.Thanks Vince...Ohio 5Some Things To Be Aware Of Purchased to mount on an Vizio VO47L TV that has non-VESA mounting holes. Good news is that the stand will work, BUT...you need to be aware of a few things.First, the hardware quality is not that good, although there is an impressive assortment of mounting hardware to suit multiple TV mounting holes. In my bag of hardware, several parts were stuck together, seemingly powder coated together. This was a bit of a pain, but you can get them separated. Then the fun starts.Take a look at the photo of the instructions. Putting side "A" together was spot on. However, when trying to assemble the "B" side components, the base riser simply would not fit so that the holes aligned. Read other's comments and you will see that some have described this problem, come don't. What we found was that if you mount the TV back brackets in the highest position they fit perfectly. This means larger TV's will not have a problem.We managed to get the holes to align with a little "mechanical agitation" and a few choice words, using vicegrips to pull the parts together.So, for the price, it works. All it would take is for the manufacturer to put a little more care into the quality of their hardware and brackets and this would be a 5 star product. 2
