Customer Reviews

Looks great and works great when new. Not very durable but MOSISO sent a replacement!Wow - I don't know where to start. This MOSISO cover is great out of the box. It fit better than I expected on my 2018 MBPro. It looks great, and felt great on the much-maligned butterfly keyboard. Kept my keys looking like new and the grease and dirt off of my screen.Originally I gave this a 3 Star rating. You can see why in the photos. In basically just a few months, the fit is no longer great and the surface of the protector is as worn as keys might have been. I assume that it's a combination of how the black color is injected into the mold and that the synthetic material is more keyboard heat-sensitive than the manufacturer realizes.Surprisingly, Mosiso offered to replace the original with a new one. That's a great company! As I stated, this is not the first Mosiso keyboard cover I have bought and now having experienced their customer service. I will continue to support them.5Not bad, but not as easy to type on as I'd thoughtThe cover overall is nice. It's a bit frosty and not clear. That's not a deal breaker or anything. Now that I've owned it a year or so, I can properly assess it. For the most part it does its purpose, but because of its rubbery, not quite smooth texture, it makes typing a bit slower. For some reason, I have a harder time hitting the right keys and I'm not sure if it's the feel of the cover throws me off or what. It also shifts a bit on the left side (never the right lol) while using it for photoshop and illustrator work -- primarily when using shortcut keys, which is practically all the time. (I'm also right handed so my mouse is in that hand and not on the keyboard if that makes a difference) It's thickness is good and doesn't really interfere with how my laptop closes.Amazon asked if it's 1. Easy to Clean 2. Durability and 3. Value for Money. I assume it's easy to clean. I haven't needed to yet but it's rubber so I guess you can just run it under some soapy water. I'm not sure why, but there always seems to be a dark spot under the left hand shift and command key (keys I often am using for shortcuts). I tried wiping it down to remove any oils and they always return. It's a very minor problem, but seeing as I got the cover to prevent natural oils from my fingers getting all over the keys, you can see why I'm a bit bothered by it.As for durability, I'm not overly rough and like I said, haven't cleaned it yet. Maybe it might stretch out if you're rubbing too hard to clean or something. It does seem like it could rip if you're not careful. It's been pretty durable while typing. And for value for money, meh. It's kept dirt and crumbs from falling between the keys. And my keyboard is still pristine as if I just opened it with no worn out letters or fingerprint oils on the keys. The newer Mac keyboards have a lower profile and I put this on right away to prevent any dust from getting under the keys. So it seems alright. If those things don't bother you, then the value for money is great. I gave 3 stars, cuz obviously those things do bother me. But it's still not a bad deal for what you get.To sum it up, it's not bad and if you didn't want to spend much, I'd say this is a good buy. But for someone who can get frustrated with minor issues (like the cover shifting while holding the command key and trying to push another key, among other things), you might want to try a different one. I'm honestly going to try the UPPERCASE GhostCover Premium Ultra Thin Keyboard Protector. My friend has it and recommends it. We'll see how well it holds up to my Adobe shortcut key usage.3Get something better I originally wrote this a raving review for how awesome this cover is! I am redacting my 5-star rating and changing it to 2-stars. I have had this keyboard cover for just under 2 months now, and it has seriously deteriorated within that timeframe. I will be honest-the pictures do not do it justice... The keyboard cover is now fading in spots. The Caps Lock and A keys are bubbly (they pop up (like having air under them). I also want to note that now my MacBook Pro lid does not shut fully (it did for the first month). Lastly, I ve noticed that the keyboard cover is stretching out farther past the keys. The whole shape of the thing is getting longer over time.I am giving it 2 stars because, while being an eyesore, it still protects my keys from damage, dirt, spills, etc. However, based on the degenerative features on this item, I do not believe it deserves any higher than 2 stars. I live in a normal climate (not too hot/cold/humid/dry). My MacBook Pro runs normal temperatures, so i'm not sure why it is warping more each day. I honestly haven t used it too much either. Just regular use. There is a low likelihood that my cover was defective, and I would be willing to try a new one out and adjust this review as needed. 2I love the way this looks on my MacBook 12inch keyboard I love the way this looks on my MacBook 12inch keyboard. Its everything I hoped it would look like. Only thing is the feel of the material is kind of slippery when I type. on the surface. The other thing is the flower design is beautiful but the design hides the letters a little but because I type that is not a biggie. One more thing as I am typing this the keys don't go down as far when I type with this sleeve so it feels different compared to another protective sleeve that I had which was easier to type on. I just got it today so maybe I will get used to that. Again it looks so good on my keys. I have a rose gold MacBook . The pink roses look fab on it! to the point I want to make myself comfortable typing on this. If it wasn't for that adjustment I would have given this 6 stars. I will try it for a while and see if I get used to this. If I do I will order more of the same design to have this on hand for my pink MacBook. 4Will dull the sound of the butterfly keys[bzymom's daughter here]This is my first experience with a keyboard cover - I bought it in hopes of quieting the "butterfly keys" on the new MacBook pros (I have the 2016 13 inch pro, for reference). I am so happy to say it WORKS! I am a first year law student and use my laptop a lot at school, especially in the quiet depths of the library where every breath can be heard. This cover doesn't completely silence the sound but it does dull it to a workable extent. I got the black color, and you can honestly hardly notice it is even on the computer, except for the "mosiso" written on the space bar. Beyond that, it is almost invisible. It just kind lays over the keys and feels soft to the touch. For less than $7, it is a more than reasonable cost for the mitigation of my issue. I also recommend the same brand for a protective hard case - I have the dark grey and it fits amazing and is very sleek. Would recommend to anyone!5Paint chips very easier I like the keyboard cover and it fits my Mac well, but I've only had it two weeks and there's a dime-sized area where the paint on the cover is wearing on the space bar and it's starting on some of the keys already. A little disappointed, but it does the job it's supposed to.UPDATEI have now had this keyboard cover for about two months and the quality is so poor that about half the keys now have paint removed from them. I don't work on my computer for my job, so most of its use comes from casual browsing or shopping at night, and I have to say this cover is holding up very poorly. I would maybe recommend not getting a keyboard cover with a design on it and just get a plain one to avoid this issue. 1Fits properly but cannot see key lights in dark. This cover fits great for the newer MacBook pros 13 inch. It stays well and minimizes the clicking of the keys, which is what I was looking for. However, I find it necessary to remove the cover when working at night (in the dark). You cannot see the keyboard light through this cover. This cover will also make the closing of the laptop a bit odd. Initially, I noticed that I could not close the MacBook all the way but after a while, it is no longer an issue.3Effective and easy to work withMBP keyboards (2016) are known to be vulnerable to debris. I had mine replaced - under warranty, thank you Tim Cook - and bought this to protect the new keyboard. I figured I would live with the downside of having a layer of stuff over the keys. Turns out the downside is minimal. Took me a day to get used to the fact that the cover is not slippery like the naked keys are. Smooth sailing thereafter. Fits great. Doesn't curl. I got CLEAR, so it doesn't look weird and the keyboard backlight works normally. Every so often, I simply remove it and rinse it with lukewarm water and a little soap. Rinse off the soap, of course. Dry gently, leave overnight to make sure it's 100% dry, and drop it back into position. Works great. I've been using it for months. BTW, the cover closes normally.5Slows down typing actionThe cover fits the macbook well, is extremely thin and would do a great job protecting the keyboard on this machine known for developing issues with keys if crumbs get underneath them. This cover does its job, but at a cost- it becomes difficult to type. The silicon grips your fingers so you cannot slide your fingers on the keys like you might do normally touch typing. For this reason, i will not be using this product, only in situations where it is likely crumbs will be getting on the laptop ( eating while working, on a airplane eating snacks, etc) . I really dont see how this could be practical in a day to day setting.3Very poor material, it is bubbling up all over the placeIt fits perfectly, but many of the keys are sticking and look darker and others are even bubbling up so it doesn't look that nice. As you can see in the photos the shift, 'r', 'f' and other keys have a bubble while others are darker and sticking. This is happening on both sides. Still I guess it is better than getting a crumb in the keyboard and it not working. I got this because of an article that said that the keys can easily malfunction with anything that enters it.Update: as time goes on more keys started to bubble. I recommend you do not wash it because this could have been a reason. They shouldn't promote washing it, or maybe give another suggestion of how to wash it to prevent any deformation.Update 2: Got even worse. Would like my money back since I already bought another product to replace it, and will update here if it is a better option. It should be made from a different material.1Keep your keyboard protectedThe Mosiso brand keyboard is definitely a great product to buy as it is soft and covers the entire keyboard. the price is just right if your a looking a quick protection for your keyboard and it is even better that the keyboard cover is washable. the cover gets rid of the sound of the clicking when you type , which I heard that some people find annoying ( I have no problem with that). however I feel like if you make a mistake and nudge the keyboard cover , it does move out of place easily. I did get the black version which looks great with my space grey MacBook Pro , it gives the keyboard a more darker look instead of the regular dull colored keys. my only problem is that my MacBook doesn't fully close with it on and I feel that you guys could have put the brands name somewhere else on the keyboard cover not on the space button4Don't get anything elseLong story short: This is a superior keyboard cover. With the new keyboards, you basically need a keyboard cover to prevent any small particles from getting underneath the keys and making them inoperable. I purchased a similar cover to this manufactured by CaseBuy that was a more of a thin plastic. While it worked well enough, it had almost a powder that would constantly get onto the screen after closing it, and it would warp with heat and occasionally would come off when typing quickly. This cover is a nice silicone material, with the matte side facing up and being the side you type on and a glossy side underneath that comes in contact with the keys. This cover is very well made - it perfectly fits and more or less sticks in place. I did notice after several days of usage that there are some slight marks on the screen, similar to the plastic style cover I had. I assume this is because the thickness of the cover is just enough to touch the screen on the edges of the keys. To be clear, these are not scratches or anything, just residual dirt/grime from hands typing.I got the clear one and it looks nice - my only complaint is once you've typed with it a fair amount, at least with the clear one, you'll notice the cover starts to actually stick to each key leaving an odd coloration effect (see picture). I wanted the clear one so I could still see the backlit keyboard, so if you don't want the negligible stick-looking effect, that may be something you need to consider.5Got it right. Love this thing. I have a 2017 MacBook and was having a little trouble getting used to the clicky-ness of the newly shaped keyboard keys. I wanted to protect my keyboard and add some personality to it, but it ended up protecting and giving flair while helping with the clickyness. It actually makes it easier for me to type. It protects against puppy drool very well. All in all, an excellent buy and I will be back for another color. 5Great productI ordered a case for my new macbook and it came with a keyboard cover that did not cover all of the keys. I ordered this one and was really happy that it did! Also, I like that it's thin. My keyboard cover for my old (2011) macbook was really thick, which was okay since that one had really loud keys and the cover softened the noise. But I never really liked how thick it was. Since the new macbook doesn't have loud keys it's really not necessary to have a thick keyboard cover. Great product! Definitely recommend.5
