    Great Moen Original Replacement Escutcheon I actually purchased this through Amazon Warehouse Deals for less than $15.00 (about 15% savings) for a used, very good (like new) condition. It was repackaged without any screws (not needed anyway). It appears new and is a better quality than other after-market replacements. I know this because I had an after-market (I think Danco) replacement escutcheon which is thinner metal and cracked a bit around the screws after about 5 years. It's now about 8 years old and I am replacing it with this original Moen escutcheon. I expect at least 10 (probably 20) years use from this one.Side Note:Since I have 2 showers with the same Moen fixtures, I also purchased a BrassCraft SK0230 Plumb Shop for Moen Tub and Shower Trim Kit, Chrome for the other bathroom to fully upgrade the shower trim. The BrassCraft replacement is a good deal, complete with all new parts including the escutcheon (with rubber seal), shower handle, drip/stop tube and 2 new screws. I will note that the BrassCraft metal escutcheon is also not as heavy-weight (firm/strong) metal as the original Moen escutcheon but, still a very decent after-market replacement. 5Better and cheaper than the generic kits Far better than the generic kits from Danco I was looking at. Original quality, quite attractive, real metal construction unlike Danco which is plastic. A little less convenient to order parts separately but ultimately cheaper (I got just the parts I wanted, no extra bits). 5Fits Stanadyne! I had an old corroded stanadyne estucheon plate that had cracked around the mounting screws. After a bit of homework, I found that Moen and Stanadyne merged years ago. Behold, this estucheon plate even has the Stanadyne logo embossed on it (the little "SA" with a circle around it) next to the Moen "M"/circle. I was worried when I bought it that I might have to return it, but it fits perfectly (I estimate my old part was original to the house in ~1990-1995). I wonder why this compatibility is not more openly advertised. And, this plate is more substantial than the original (thicker gauge metal). 5Moen 16090 One-Handle Tub and Shower Faucet Moen 16090 Chateau Collection Replacement Escutcheon for One-Handle Tub and Shower Faucet works great. It fits perfectly to the existing Moen water pipe in my bath tub ( see attached photos) 5Replacement for Moen Chateau Positemp pull out and turn I m so happy I finally found the replacement for a 1980 s Moen Chateau positemp pull out shower! The old one was covered in hard water stains and would never shine no matter what I tried to do to clean it. Great price and makes a huge improvement to the look of my shower. I also bought a water softener for the shower to hopefully help keep the stains off for good.As others commented, it s slightly smaller in diameter than the original, but close enough to work.I tried others that advertised they were generic for Moen, but they were not for my specific type. 5Works fine, looks good A perfect fit on our old Moen. You may need some standoffs to help you find the screw holes on the portion of the fitting in the wall, at least if you had a deeply dished escutcheon previously, as we did. The item we got shows a snowflake and a spiky sun, in faint gray. Once a few water spots get on the plate you won't see them at all. No big deal, but you may need to tell guests which way to turn the handle so they don't freeze or scald themselves, if they don't have an experimental personality. I think a red dot and a blue dot would be more practical, but I guess nowadays practical doesn't cut it over 'style'. 5My old one trapped & wicked water behind the tiles This is an excellent product. It is made of all metal, not plastic, and is about 1 inch larger than the original 1972 Moen Chateau escutcheon it replaced. Most importantly, this part has a very substantial gasket on the back side to prevent water dripping behind the plate, and it has a weep hole on the bottom. The original escutcheon had no weep hole and a very flimsy gasket. When my old one was removed, I saw the back side was full of hard water deposits, so it was definitely trapping water up against the wall. Who knew?There is a mysterious leak behind my shower wall and no access panel, so I opted to try and replace all the trim pieces before tearing up the walls. I don't know if I permanently solved the entire problem, but this definitely took care of part of it. My plumber also caulked around the outside edge (being careful not to fill the weep hole). I also had him install a new tub spout and shower arm. Both of those had big open gaps where the pipe sticks out of the wall, that the pieces screw on to. Sure enough it was wet inside those holes! You have to close those holes behind the fixtures with caulk or putty, and then install the new fixture. So if you have an older bathroom and can't spring for a complete demo/remodel, this is an inexpensive thing to try first. 5THIS LOOKS AND FEELS JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL PART FROM 20 YEARS AGO These OEM parts are over the top expensive, but they are the same quality and grade as the original, not like many aftermarket parts that are made using either inferior methods or materials, or both. So, -1 Star for cost, but otherwise perfect form and fit. 4GREAT REPLACEMENT! Oh my GOD IT'S CHROME!!!! Used it for a shower remodel on a 1983 Moen installation where I had to knock down all the old tile and the new install I needed a super tight seal, but I don't like escutheons that protrude from the wall. I couldn't find this cover anywhere else but I love the flush and flat appearance, it is so clean with a good sealant around it. The universal install kit from Danco is plastic with a chrome color and it makes that obnoxious bubble shape in your shower. Hell no. Nothing made me more furious than seeing plastic at Home Depot. THIS IS METAL! Now the old Escutcheon was some kind of steel but it wasn't chromed. I don't know what finish it was in 1983. So it looked really gross, deposits and minerals, just bad. I wanted that same look again but when I discovered a CHROME finish from this seller, I exploded with joy. I replaced it with this one and it looks so luxurious. It shines like a DIAMOND in that shower now. Fit like a glove. Just look at my photos. The thing is so bright I had to get a new diverter spout and a new shower head because I just loved throwing it on. I can also confirm it comes with both seals. It cleans with a wipe of a towel. What a fantastic product, great seller, and it came to me in one day with my prime. Home Depot can stick that Danco you know where... 5Exact Match Needed a replacement for my shower. This was an exact match to the one I had. I wasn't able to find Moen on the original due to the age and that it had cracked so I matched it up by comparing the two screw holes on bottom, the notch at the top of the post hole and that this was fairly flat and did not have a deep pocket within the inner circle that would need to go into the wallspace. Very pleased. 4
